This apartment is located just past the cathedral square, at a point where tourists stop in their tracks to take photos. It's hard to think of a better location. The staff are great; we got detailed directions on WhatsApp and were able to stay in contact through the group created. But there wasn't any reason to contact them because of the apartment, which is a refittin of a historic building, withel the whitewashed rough-stones walls to prove it. It's compact but well designed and very clean, with all the necessary facilities including everything needed to do some cooking, although with the quantity and quality of cafés/ restaurants nearby, that's really not needed.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have a balcony taking advantage of the stunning location. The staff member who showed us the apartment encouraged us to put the kitchen table and chairs on the pedestrian path outside the door, which we dud late one evening; during the day, it gets a bit too busy for that.

Excellent5 communication from the team, this included them setting up a WhatsApp group so if I had any questions I could always reach someone quickly.

The listing on Booking.com was a little confusing as the one listing covered 3 apartments so there were some features I thought I had booked that were actually for a different apartment. I asked the team to either list the apartments individually or specify the features of each apartment.

The location is wonderful and our flat had awesome view of the Luis Dom Bridge and the river. Everything is in walking including the Bridge, Porto Cathedral (mins away) and the Sao Bento train station (10 mins) as well as so much more. The flat itself was clean with great home furnishings incl cable TV so we could catch up on from news from the home (US). Gabriel was great as he arrive early for us to drop off our luggage due to our 12 noon arrival and provided us with several recommendations. Again, the view is just incredible and I will stay her again the next time I visit.

You cannot get closer to the most scenic parts of the historic part of Porto. The apartment was spacious - huge bedroom & bathroom with a fabulous shower. Our host, Maria, was super helpful and nothing was too much an ask for her. Be aware that Arco Apartments owns a few apartments in this area close to the historic arch, so make sure you book the correct apartment for your needs. If you struggle with stairs or are in any way walking impaired, this is unfortunately not the location for you.

It was all perfect.

This was an absolutely lovely apartment, with a great view of the river. It's a historical building, but the inside is thoroughly modern and well equipped. We went to a couple of the viewpoints around town and thought, well we can see this from our own windows. There is a little terrace which is nice to have a glass of wine on or just to sit and take in the views. The kitchen is great. The location is perfect and is pretty close to most things in the historical center and close to the bridge to cross over to the other side of the river. Nilde came to let us in and gave us detailed instructions on how to get around town and a ton of recommendations of what to do around town, which we tragically did not have enough time in Porto to do all of it. Parking was a little confusing, but they sent us videos on how/where to do it, which were helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. They did charge us for late check in, which was fair because someone had to let us in and it was almost midnight.

We like everything about this house. The setting of the living, dining, kitchen, toilet and bedrooms are practical and spacious. Of course need not to mention the view is stunning. The amenities are so complete, nothing lack. It’s a well function home. Specially want to praise the housekeeping crew, the house is well cleaned and neat every time

Beautiful apartment with stunning views. Nicely laid out and with good facilities and comfortable beds. Host was excellent at communicating and trying to help us when the extra bed we had requested was forgotten.

Carrying bags up and down steps! You need to be aware that this is not a place to stay for those with mobility challenges as there are quite a few stone steps in either direction up or down from the apartment. Carrying all our suitcases was not fun at all. As lovely as the apartment was, had I realised the accessibility challenges I think I would have chosen differently.

Very supportive hosts who got in touch with us prior to the trip and were concerned how we were going to arrive in the dreadful rainy weather. The host provided video directions to my phone to show the taxi driver in case we got lost trying to locate the apartment due to road closures. And lovely Mrs NIlde left us a nice box local portuguese tarts and lots of great suggestions on what to visit and where to eat. We had the best reception as soon as we arrived.

Nothing at all - though the location being on a hill involved climbing up and down quite a bit of steps, it's still worth it. Beautiful scenery to wake up to, nice coffee made with a chic coffee machine and simple, adorable interior decor that made all my family feel at home and chilled.

Location is key to this apartment if you want to be in the heart of Ribeira but close to the water. The host was so accomodating and met us early and allowed us to put our luggage in the apartment while it was still being cleaned!

It is on a main pedestrian footpath so expect to hear foot traffic coming past your bedroom window and be prepared for the steep stairs. We were there for São João so thousands of people were in town

Centrally located, spacious apartment, good view from outside the apartment, just bear in mind lots of stairs to climb, particularly when you have big luggages. Excellent host, very friendly and informative.

Not really, it is just the house is located on the walking path to view points, lots of traffic and you can hear people chatting as they walk by in the daytime, and evening; but it didn’t bother us.
