The staff were very friendly, we were warmly greeted. Whilst waiting to check in we were served sparkling water. The buffet breakfast was delicious, lots of hot and cold options, waiting staff very amiable and chatty. The hotel decor and room was stylish, with many lovely designer touches. We will return when the spa opens next door!

It’s a 15 minute walk to town, 20 minute back (uphill), which was fine for us but the option of a shuttle bus service would be great.

The breakfasts were EXCELLENT and the staff at breakfast time were also excellent. In fact on every occasion the staff were perfect. Friendly and always ready to help.

The ONLY problem we had was we had booked a room with a city view but instead looked straight across the road at old buildings, some of which were occupied. Our room was 338. Apart from that the room was perfect as were the cleaning staff.

This is new hotel and although the surrounding area still under development, the hotel itself is lovely, clean, comfortable and most importantly to me, the staff is absolutely amazing! So attentive, friendly, helpful and always there to answer any questions or give wonderful recommendations. We had an amazing stay in Porto! It also helps that Bolt (our Uber, and must to have app in Europe), is so incredibly inexpensive and so easy to use. We went almost everywhere by Bolt and loved talking to our drivers. ♥️🇵🇹🌺 Oh, the the pool - it’s kinda silly to Zoe d a whole day by the pool when you have so much to see and experience, BUT, it is so lovely and clean and refreshing that we used it every single day! 😍

We had breakfast included with our stay, although lovely and fresh, variety is lacking if you are staying g there for several days. Also note, if you want any different type of eggs prepared, you need to ask for it, it’s not advertised, but they are more than happy to prepare!

The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed Staff were exceptional, attentive, polite

Pool bar was small, not enough sun beds and view was of cranes from building work outside the hotel. Building work was noisy

The hotel is immaculate. The room was a generous size, stylish and well equipped with robes and a nespresso machine. The pool is undeniably stylish and the roof top bar area is really pleasant to spend time at. Breakfast was great too in terms of selection and quality. The hotel is clearly striving to provide an excellent service, staff are attentive and responsive. The location is slightly out of town; about a 15-20mins walk to the main areas with little in the immediate environs. I found this an advantage as the main areas are very congested.

The lighting system in the room was vastly complex. It created a lovely ambient light but the combination of 24 switches was slightly irritating. The pool area serves drinks but no snacks at all or light meals. There was at times a lack of staff: I had to wait about 15mins for someone to come to reception who could take payment for my room bill.

Our stay at Renaissance Porto was wonderful! We were really impressed by the actual hotel (the decor was beautiful) and the friendly and professional staff. Every single interaction we had with the staff was warm and pleasant. But special mention must go out to the “Navigator”, Daniel. He gave us great advice and went out of his way to ensure we were able to do all the activities we wanted to do (despite the dreary weather!). He also arranged a special treat for me on my birthday, which was such a lovely surprise! I also really liked the design of the room and bathroom. It is so smartly done and created a very spacious flow. And… the breakfast was amazing!!

Some of the housekeeping amenities were missing. As an example, the tissue box was empty, the little lotions were not replaced when they were finished. And there was no shower cap or vanity kit provided (something I would expect at this sort of hotel). The coffee capsules were also not replaced.

What I loved the most is the design- the hotel is new, colourful, details like lights vere great. Breakfast was amazing, loved pastel de nata, salmon, variety of hot and cold dishes. The gym had enough equipment, they were very gold quality. The stuff in reception was polite, very helpful. Drink bar was a big suprise. The form, taste, presentation- just WOW. Restaurant menu was delicious

In the late morning, there was twice no drinking water left in the gym. Room cleaning could be a little bit better, on day they didn't left clean towels, second day they took our personal belonging (coffee dripper) from the room desk and we never got it back. The view was a construction site and it was I little bit noisy

This is probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Beautiful decor (even the toilets! see photo), lovely room, incredibly friendly and helpful staff (on reception, at breakfast and in the bar), lovely swimming pool with rooftop bar. Breakfast was fabulous and I think is available till 11am - a huge array of gorgeous treats, but also the opportunity for a cooked breakfast if you wanted one. Lunch in the rooftop bar was also truly delicious (see photos).

Location. It's really a good 30-minute walk (downhill) into town. We couldn't always face the uphill walk back, but usually found it easy to get an Uber straightaway. There is some ugly construction work going on next door to the hotel, but we were not bothered by that - it's a bit of an eyesore, but we didn't hear much noise. Not enough teabags and milk in the room - we had to keep asking for more.

This is one of the best hotels I visited for quite some time. Service, facilities, bar, breakfast, rooms.. everything was amazing. Rooms big and comfy.

They need to communicate more clearly that the park view is actually the right view on the city. What they call a city view is a poor view on the street and into a hill across the street. What they call executive room is the same room as any, but they are upselling those. That’s not ok. Literally the same rooms.

Beautiful new hotel. Very comfortable big bed and room was very clean. Very conviennent for getting to the airport as metro station is just few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and heated rooftop pool was amazing. Hotel corridors and lobby smelled very nice and everywhere was so clean. Staff was lovely and very professionnal.

Everything was great , we just didn't liked that 50 Eur deposit was taken from my card in case we took something from the bar / fridge in the room and there weren't even in the room so it didn't make sense , also I was not made aware that this deposit was going to be taken when I was booking room. Money were returned to my account within few days.
