Staff is very friendly and we got a quite unusual request fulfilled: old newspaper (to dry wet shoes). Breakfast is really good and the pool must be nice in warmer weather.

The toaster in the breakfast room squeetches - I nearly got afraid that I could not eat breakfast after returning home without hearing it ;-) The air condition and its command are quite a miracle - they sometimes work together and other times don't. Why? Perhaps god knows. Just try again and try again. Then it works somewhen.

The pool was very good, the room was huge and cleaned every day and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. 24hr help desk was great as it was able to check out with ease

The dinner buffet was a bit pricey for what it was. My bed was dipped on one side, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. Loud bang noise occurring multiple times throughout the night also woke me up during the times I was sleeping, so I felt like I didn't sleep very well during my stay.

The pool and bar was nice and clean.Staff were excellent.Also the restaurant was good.Breakfast was basic but sufficient.Dinner buffet was also good value.All in all was good value for money and a hidden gem.We were so grateful to get it after a very stressful day of our flight being cancelled.Ryanair did not help at all so we were lucky we found it.

It was a bit out in the country but we are quite happy to walk although they did provide a free shuttle bus.

If you are after a nice relaxing holiday, then this is the place for you. Staff are all very pleasant. Its location is a bit out in the sticks. A hire car is cheap enough. They also have a mini bus at the hotel. Walk to the beach is about 45 mins. 5 mins in a car. There is a nice restaurant/bar just down the road. Over 10 visits up to now and will still go again.

In all honesty... it nothing.

Hotel was excellent in all aspects, helpful staff always available, rooms were big and clean, bar / restaurant was very nice and relaxing, pool area very clean and not crowded. I would highly recommend this Hotel especially to Wedding parties who they accommodate to a high standard

Quiet area. Ran a free mini bus to and from the beach. Nice pool a d bar area. Fair choice of food at breakfast and evening meal. Good parking. Staff helpful and friendly.

We were in a room at the far end of the property in a separate building. The room decor was quite dated. Beds had blankets not duvets. It was good to have a pool there though.

Room was excellent, very clean, all amenities were great, lovely staff, bar, restaurant and pool areas were great, I was there for a family wedding and the hotel took great care of everyone

The breakfast and the pool was phenomenal. The room was recently remodeled and everything was clean. I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Pinhal do Sol. Only thing I wish was that it was a longer stay. Thanks to all the staff that received us. Everyone was exceptional

Superior room was large, well equipped (sofa etc) and nice and quiet (rural location 2km out of town). Helpful staff, nice garden and pool area and good breakfasts al fresco. Free Wifi and parking. Bike hire was easy. Hotel free shuttle bus down to Quarteira beach 4 times a day. Ubers readily available which we used to go on a day hike in the hills a few miles away. Nice traditional taverna just a couple of hundred metres south for an alternative evening meal. All in all a very good inexpensive 3-star hotel.

Maybe not the best location for family summer/beach holidays (albeit the Aqua Park is only 1km up the road) but for people like us on a walking/cycling break, or say touring the central Algarve it proved an ideal base.

Very clean and lovely hotel. Pool area and bar areas were lovely, better than the pictures looked! We got upgraded to a family room which was huge and we had a nice balcony.

You need a car to get around, we used a Portuguese company vitauto which was also great.
