This hotel is truly stunning, featuring wonderful staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, providing the perfect environment for a restful night’s sleep. Mornings are delightful with a delicious breakfast, and the location couldn't be better—just a short walk to a variety of restaurants. Additionally, it's a cyclist-friendly establishment, equipped with a secure, indoor space to keep bikes safe. We stayed here while completing the N2, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone undertaking the journey or simply seeking an outstanding place to stay while visiting Sertã. It's a gem you won’t want to miss!

Nothing to not love!

I enjoyed a lovely stay at this converted convent. I chose it as a place to stop on my road trip down the historic N2 highway due to its pet-friendly status. I expected a small plain room, but instead was treated to a beautiful, well-appointed one. I would happily return for a spa stay (they have multiple options on site) or even a few days to explore the area further. My room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. It even included a small balcony. The hotel is beautifully appointed, and I love how they included many of the original features into the design of the property. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and there is ample free parking on the grounds.

Beautiful old building converted to modern standards. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are large with plenty of light. On one side there is a lovely view of the river. Free coffee and fruit continuously available. Breakfast choice extremely good. Slightly lacking atmosphere which, we personally feel, could be addressed by adding more paintings and colour. But overall a nice hotel.

Cold, cold, cold. The room was cold when we first arrived though we do appreciate that the heating is not turned on until the room is booked, and we do same day bookings. But even the public areas are cold. We stayed during winter, but do feel the overall comfort of temperatures should be addressed.

The property has an interesting and historic history. An outgoing and friendly owner and staff. My room was large and comfortable with everything I needed for an excellent adventure. The breakfast buffet was top with many items to choose from. Including Organic. The pool was cool for hot day's. Location Optimal for exploring Serta and beyond.

Some helpful suggestions to consider. A mini fridge in room would be a bonus plus small tea kettle. More umbrellas are needed at pool so that guest can get shade from the sun.

Hearing the toilet flushing from neighbouring rooms and other sounds. If the hotel were to be refurbished again I would recommend the adjoining room walls be sound proofed. Other than that, it’s a great hotel in a perfect location.

Wow an amazing hotel so much history. Stayed here for 2 nights. The breakfast is brilliant. There are loads of restaurants within walking distance but we ate at the one next door which was nice and very traditional. No bar but you’ve only got to ask for a beer and it’s brought out to you on the terrace. Reasonably safe for motorcycles parked at front of hotel, no access for cars due to bollards. The convent is located in a quiet neighbourhood near the river. Our room was comfortable with a small terrace that we used a lot. The staff was helpful and kind, with good advice about nearby places to visit. Breakfast was very good.

It was all good.

Location was excellent. Staff especially Adriane, was outstanding. Speaking very English, french and Portugue. He explanied in detail good area to visit in area. Accommodated our vehicle to a safe area to park. Restaurant food was good.

In the associated restaurant a number of different waiters suggested they spoke english, however different waiters at each course delivered our food. Some speaking in their languages. Difficult to build a relationship therefore with each.

Great ambiance and historic detail. Terrific location in the historic town, close to shops and good restaurants. Very comfortable room and very pretty central sitting area. Excellent staff, especially Louis who took the time to tell us about the town and surrounding area, and was a helpful guide for restaurants.

There is a drain smell in the bathroom that is very strong and should be attended to.

New, clean, comfortable room with a terrace was perfect for us. It was cozy warm and provided a beatiful view of the river at dawn. We enjoyed the old architecture and history of the former convent. The location in town, near the river, a park, and walkable to restaurants was ideal. The breakfast buffet in the space it's served was not only beautiful, but delicious. Whoever prepares the food and buffet is an artist. All the staff were 5 🌟. Enthusiastic and available as needed. They provided valuable resources on what to do in the surrounding area.

We were fine with the cool, wintery, central space but others may find it less refreshing. Nothing one more layer in winter doesn't fix.
