The quiet area and the bed

Its quite quiet so its good if you have a car. Not much to do around by foot. The staff is only there specific hours so evenings its quiet. Would be nice to have some staff around/feels a bit more safer ? Also there was a slug in the hammam area so did not use it.

This place feels like paradise in an unexpected place! We were going to Sintra for the day and found this lovely property. It is relaxing with a really nice outside covered sitting area, a creek that runs through the property, very nice gardens, chickens (which meant fresh eggs for breakfast), a pool (although we didn't use it, it looked inviting), and much more. Parking is great too. Overall, a fantastic one night stay. We want to go back and spend more time there.

The location is further outside Sintra than some might like but it could be reached with a shared ride or taxi service. My husband made the mistake of trying to drive in Sintra before our check-in. Big mistake! The roads are quite narrow and parking is a nightmare. It would have been better to park the car here and then take a shared ride service. We'll know better next time.

The quiet location on the outskirts of Sintra was fine. The family run accommodation is set among fields in an old mill with a stream running through the property (ducks included). The are some loverly peaceful and verdant outside areas and a small outdoor pool. The family who run the business are extremely helpful and there is a very good breakfast service. You can drive a short distance to restaurants and main tourist sites.

There is no drink or food service outside breakfast but the rooms do have a fridge and coffee machine. Not staffed all day so checking in is via a hidden key safe.

Visited in August 2024 We stayed here a couple nights because it was close to the sites at Sintra. WOW WOW WOW!!! It was so much more that we were expecting! This is a uniquely beautiful villa! It is impeccably kept up by very welcoming and friendly hosts. The place is clean, wifi is fast, bed is comfortable, tv nice size, bathroom / shower is sized right, kitchen and breakfast area was great! Whatever the area...this groups is doing it right! If you are in the area do not miss this place to stay! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Everything was perfect!

The room was very nice and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the various seating areas available, as well as the swimming pool area. Breakfast is very very good even though it's not a buffet (my personal preference) - everything is out on the table when you arrive to the breakfast room and it's plenty. We didn't have to but I'm sure the people there would have brought more food out if we had asked. The owners and staff are very very nice.

We stayed in room 1 and there was no door to the bathroom or any kind of separation from the sleeping area to provide some privacy.

The environment and shared areas are incredible. It is like a spiritual retreat for meditation. They take care of every detail. Marta was so helpful and kind to us during our stay. We will come back undoubtedly. The bathroom was big. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.

The cupboard is a bit small, and there are just a few hangers. The dormitory is not too big.

Beautifully presented accommodation in a delightfully tranquil setting in lovely garden. Marta, the manager, could not be more helpful and even drove us to Sintra one morning to get the train to Lisbon when my Uber App failed to work. Ideally placed for Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra. Generous breakfast and a lovely pool in well maintained gardens.

A little more storage in our room would have been helpful (Room 2) but this in no way affected our enjoyment

Breakfast was fantastic. Traditional offerings including local homemade pastries. We were fortunate that our host’s mother was visiting him - we were able to sample her baking, delicious. Fresh eggs from our host’s chickens, hot freshly baked croissants, cold cuts, cheese, and made to order coffee - perfect. Our host, Ruben, was full of local knowledge. He was generous with his time providing us with helpful tips and gave us a tour of the property- a fascinating renovation project. The property is a gem - a converted farmhouse with water wheels. We will return.

Wi-Fi needs improvement.

Very friendly staff, the bedroom was lovely, very comfortable and spacious, good breakfast and beautiful property. It's great for a romantic getaway or even if you're traveling for business and need a quiet place to recharge.

Minor issue in the bathroom: the shower panel had a leak, the water was coming out of the side panel but it had no impact on the ability to take a proper shower, so it was ok for us.

Setting was secluded and beautiful. Quick Uber ride to Sentra’s main attractions, and Cascais.

Breakfast was good and generous, but would have liked a hot option. Our unit (1) didn’t have a bathroom door (by design). Not a serious problem for a married couple of 32-years… but may be an issue for newer relationships.
