Excellent small boutique hotel with small added touches that improved our stay, like tarts in the afternoon or a glass of port at reception in the evening. Delicious buffet breakfast. Our small third floor room 305 was impeccably clean and had an extremely comfortable King sized bed, nice amenities, espresso and tea and a beautiful view from the small balcony. The room was incredibly quiet for sleeping. The 2nd floor terrace with honesty bar was a wonderful place for a glass of wine and to watch the sunset over the castle. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and made good recommendations for area restaurants. The proximity to the river made for pleasant after dinner strolls.

Nothing really, you could hear some noise from the hallway as people came and went from their rooms but it was not loud.

This hotel has the most AWESOME deck with an inexpensive honor bar to look out over Tomar - the river, the castle, etc. It was cool and breezy and it was so nice to just sit out and enjoy the evening breeze after a jam-packed day of monastery hopping. My total bill for three 1/2 bottles of wine and 1 sparkling water was 12€. The shower was hot and strong and the room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious and expansive. It was in a perfect location with a nice BIG parking lot right outside the door and the DELICIOUS Yukul Pizza Restaurant just a 4 min stroll across the bridge.

Lovely staff. Nice decor. Good breakfast. Really loved the rooftop lounge! Very convenient location. Great shower!

The bed was a little hard for my taste. But the bigger problem was that the air conditioning system turned off at 5.30 am the first night and 3 am the second night. And it was very warm in the room soon after this happened. And the heat actually woke us up. So we had to get out of bed and turn the AC back on both nights. This is hard when you're not a good sleeper and you have trouble going back to sleep.

Lovely room, friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good location in town for easy access to the sites.

This hotel does NOT have parking for the patrons. There is a free lot close by, and IF you are lucky you MAY get a spot. Otherwise, parking can be a challenge to find and expensive. Note for BOOKING.COM since you make it so hard to provide feedback to YOU: I booked 5 hotels for central Portugal. My ONLY search filter was parking/free parking. ONLY TWO of the hotels I booked actually had dedicated parking for customers, Nazare and Porto. The others were “there is parking on the street”, “there is a free lot on the next block”. DO NOT LET THEM LIST PARKING IF THEY DO NOT HAVE PARKING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. PERIOD. If I can’t trust the search criteria what is the point of any booking site??

The hotel is in a great location, only 3 minutes walk to the old bridge over to the old town. It's on a backstreet, so very quiet. The hotel is new-ish with all the modern amenities, and the room was adequate size and very nicely equiped. The bathroom was a bit small, but had all the necessary things. There is free public parking just a couple of minutes away (but it can't be reseerved). Breakfast was stadard offerings, but very fresh and well presented. with a quiet ambiance to get fully awake. There is a roof terraace, with a full-on view of the castle, and an honor system for drinks. Staff werre extrememly helpful and spoke good English. wifi/internet was good

n/a - all good

We booked this hotel because it was close to the historic district. We were also told there was ample parking available on the street. We were a bit nervous about the street parking but there were indeed quite a lot of parking spots next to the hotel. The location is excellent. In fact, we parked our car and left it there for the duration of our stay as the hotel is so close to the historic area that we just walked about. The hotel itself is very clean and well-situated. We asked for a room with a view and got a lovely room with a view of the Templar castle. The hotel also has a chill-out balcony where you can just lie back and enjoy the view of the river and old city across the hotel. They have an "honesty bar" on the balcony, where you pour whatever drink you want and mark down your room number for payment. Breakfast was great and plentiful; good choice of cheeses, cereals, bread, coffee, etc. At 3:00 PM the hotel treats their guests to a glass of Porto and small snack sized Pasteis de Nata (I had 2!); that was a nice touch! From the hotel you can cross the bridge into the old town where there are plenty of restaurants to eat. From there we also walked up to the old Templar castle (Convent of Christ), up the same steps as the Templars did in centuries past. All are within walking distance. It was an excellent stay. Would go back again.

Can't really say we would have improved on anything. They even took our luggage to our room as we arrived early! Nice touch.

This boutique hotel is really beautiful, fantastic design, staying in it is a visual pleasure. The room and bathroom very nice with good infrastructure, safe, coffee machine in the room, etc. The terrace also beautiful. Nice people at check-in. Very well located near to the centre of town. Breakfast was also very good. High value for money.

The hotel does not have a parking. There is a public parking (free), very near. We were lucky and could park with no issue there.

Located right by the river and the bridge that connects the old town to the new, access to everything was wonderful. Our room with balcony was very comfortable and had views of the castle and the river. The breakfast buffet was varied, including both hot and cold foods and good bread and pastries. The front desk staff, especially Sara and Fatima, went way out of their way to make us feel welcome and pampered. The roof top terrace was a great place to hang out and absorb the views. Tomar Boutique Hotel was the perfect place in Tomar.

We would have liked a little storage for clothes in the room. Just a few drawers and a few more hangers in the closet would have allowed us to unpack a little.

The place is quite, the hotel is clean, the room carpet is not very clean. The second floor is a good place to stretch both in and out of the sun. The staff is very kind and helpful.

The breakfast was good it needed some change. Example the eggs could be made in two different ways eg having some fired eggs and omelets and boiled. Eggs on a bed of hash brown potatoes, onions and bacon strips with cheese melted over it. The mushroom should be fried. I am not sure how it was cooked but it was not tasty. Beans. Etc

Thomar Boutique Hotel is situates just across the river from the old town at the base of the hill leading up to the Convento. It is easily possible to access the Convento on foot if you are up for a steep climb. There is plenty of free parking on site. Staff were very helpful to provide nearby restaurant suggestions in the old town.

Internet was not strong. Adequate for emails and web browsing but it coud not keep up with streaming a movie.
