We had a very warm welcome from Diana when we arrived and she made sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel is recently refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The pool by the river was perfect for a quiet place for a glass of wine and to cool your feet. The location of the hotel is brilliant. Great access to the old town. We loved Tomar and we were so glad we booked to stay here.

We didn't use the pool because we didn't want to wear a swim cap, but it looked lovely. Breakfast was delicious but the service was a bit hit and miss, I think that it just because it is a new team and they are finding their flow.

Hotel is in a beautiful location on the island. Our room was clean, well equipped and a good size and we loved the river view. The staff were welcoming and provided us with a map and tips of where to visit. We really enjoyed exploring the town of Tomar. Patricia's recommendations were spot on but it was the convent which stole the show. Just amazing. The town has lovely restaurants, coffee shops and a fabulous ice cream shop. We also enjoyed a walk around the hotel ground and river.Just a lovely vibe. Even though we had breakfast late, there was a varied supply which was topped up as we were eating.

The robes for the spa were tiny and in my husband's case, unwearable. The floor of the spa was so wet and slippery it was quite unsafe wearing the hotel slippers. We knew the pool was small from other reviews but we could not get the sauna to heat at all so our time there was short.

location was great, silent. place was super clean and beautiful. staff were very nice.

parking was tricky! you must cross what looks like a pedestrian bridge to make it to the hotel parking lot! looked not-permitted, but then we saw other cars do it and our Portuguese reading helped :) you need a pool-cap to enter the pool, but i don't think they sell any (would be a good idea). the pool water was not especially clean. they have a restaurant on-site: prices were a little too high for us, we are in town :)

We stayed at Santa Iria for two days. Within one day, walking across the bridge on to the island felt like coming home. It's an EXTRAORDINARY hotel. (One of the three best in Portugal, in my experience so far). It is in far better condition than most, the staff are pleasanter, the facilities are truly outstanding, and Molton Brown toiletries?!?!??! I can't work out what to praise highest - the location (stellar), the attention to detail (EXTREMELY unusual in this country), or the staff. It is head and shoulders above most of the Pousadas I have stayed in, despite being very reasonably priced.

The only thing that could have been better would be a longer stay! I can't wait to come back.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Tomar. The room was very nice and spacious. The hotel has a small spa that is cozy and from 19:00 is adults only.

Not that we didn’t like but what we believe it can be an improvement is the breakfast. It has not included in our stay, but we decided to have breakfast in the hotel. The selection was very limited and I’m not sure if it was because of the public holiday, but the short of staff made the breakfast experience not the best.

It was our first trip to Tomar. My husband and I were having a Valentines Day celebration and we were so fortunate to have made the decision to stay at this lovely property. The hotel, its beautiful setting and the location within walking distance of the historical center are perfect! But, what will brings us back in the future with family and friends is the outstanding staff. They made our first visit to Tomar and that special Valentines Day a memorable and immensely enjoyable one! The hotel arranged a gorgeous 5 course meal with wine pairings in their restaurant. The food and wine were both excellent but again the attention and enthusiasm the staff showed for this special occasion was touching. The dining room was packed with patrons but they made my husband and I feel special. We will always remember this particular Valentines Day. Thank you!!

Everything was perfect

The location of the property is lovely sitting on what appeared to be its own little oasis in a park like area next to the river. But, what our family absolutely appreciated the most , and the most significant reason we wanted to leave this review, is the outstanding staff. A thoughtful, professional and heart warming group of individuals that made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Everything from check in, dinner at their onsite restaurant, our lovely rooms, to the breakfast in the morning was perfect and so enjoyable that we will continue coming back to Tomar to experience their personalized and welcoming hospitality.

We liked everything!

Me and my now fiancèe had an exceptional stay. The location is incredible and just 5 minutes by car from the train station, the park around it is really pictoresque and also one of the cultural spots of town! We got upgrated to a plus room for the night, and we got to a modern and extremely clean room. With a handwritten note welcoming us! The room facing the river was modern, equipped with all the comforts, a huge shower and free access too the spa. I also must say the soaps in the bathroom were a treat, my eyes usually get easily irritated but this time I had no issues! We had the chance to eat at the restaurant of the hotel with top notch service and amazing fresh fish, we really appreciated letting us eat so late too :) A special note goes to the spectacular Patricia, so warm, energetic and welcoming, I really felt at home and could feel her enthusiasm for her work. A heartfelt thank you for making a special day even more special! We'll be back soon :)

This lovely hotel is located in a quiet park walking distance from the main street and offers guest-reserved parking. The room was beautiful and clean, and the washroom was impressively spacious. The restaurant was fantastic and served some of the most delicious food we had on our trip for a reasonable price. The breakfast spread was simple but tasty and offered nice variety.

It's a detail, but the blinking lights from the fire alarm were particularly bright.

The hotel is nicely located in a park about 5-7 mins walk from the cathedral. There is free private parking. The hotel is very new and everything is new and shining. It is very quiet at night, great sleep quality. Breakfast is very fresh and delicious.

The spa area is new and nice, but very small. It is great for 1 couple, but with more than two people it gets crowded. Pool is 3 metres long and 1 metre wide.
