Location quite good, spacious, and lots of room for a family of 4. Generally all the staff were lovely and really helpful. Only issue was the slightly overzealous security staff at the Valder Lobo Beach resort (known as Well)… Got quite aggressive and belligerent when I tried to bring some food in from the villa for my seven-year-old child, she is vegetarian and dairy intolerant? and the Beach Resort Restaurant weren’t able to meet her needs. Seemed a reasonable request for a child given the awareness of food intolerances these days🤷🏻 I get it’s fair to say to adults they cannot bring food into the resort, but for young children it’s generally accepted with in reason.

Size facilities and location

We had a fantastic stay at Vale do Lobo as part of a group spread across a villa, a two-bedroom apartment, and our lovely one-bedroom apartment. The resort had something for everyone, beautifully kept grounds, excellent facilities, and a relaxed, stylish atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with everything we needed for a peaceful and convenient stay. We loved how easy it was to meet up with the rest of our group, whether for pool time, beach walks, or dinners out. The shuttle bus service was brilliant, regular, friendly, and made getting around the resort effortless. With great on-site restaurants, a stunning beach, and helpful staff, Vale do Lobo was the perfect base for a memorable group holiday. A seamless mix of comfort, convenience, and sunshine, we’d love to come back.

We had such a wonderful stay at Vale do Lobo, it truly exceeded all expectations. The resort is absolutely stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds, luxurious facilities, and an unbeatable location. We loved how everything felt so well thought out, from the friendly, attentive staff to the range of amenities that cater to every type of guest. The beach was pristine and peaceful, the restaurants on-site were fantastic, especially for fresh seafood, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and high-end, without being pretentious. We also really appreciated how clean and spacious the accommodation was, every detail felt carefully curated for comfort and style. We especially loved the shuttle bus service, it made getting around the resort so easy and stress free. It’s the kind of place that invites you to fully switch off and unwind, but also offers plenty of options if you’re feeling active or sociable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway in the Algarve.

Property was spacious and easy to get to shop and to the beach/restaurants by foot or shuttle. Good pool and bbq area etc, great for families like us. It’s a beautiful setting but unless you are super in to golf, not sure you need to pay the premium price to be in Val de lobo resort.

You are within a resort and the wells beach club is the resort pool which you have access to. Whilst this is a great setting, we felt that the pool was really grubby (toilets were dirty and the pool water didn’t feel clean (child actually got very sick)). This just lets the resort down for us and after this experience we just stayed at the beach and used our own villa pool.

Overall Vale de Lobo feels like a retirement complex rather than a resort. The beds were rock hard and the nice sheets don’t make up for that. Cleaning is only twice a week and doesn’t include the kitchen yet minimal cleaning items for kitchen or toilet paper provided. Pool at our townhouse a bit tatty with lots of tiles falling off. Being expected to pay 56 euros to use the beach loungers for a few hours at a place you have already paid 600 euros a night to stay for a family of four is crazy and makes you feel ripped off. Similarly parking charges down in the beach area not great and pricey. Why not have a residents car park?!

We cannot praise this property enough! It was exactly what we were looking for, a one bedroom apartment that was exceptionally clean and well laid out with a lounge area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and also an outdoor terrace. There was a welcome package of bread crackers jams and milk and also a coffee machine with pods provided. The bathroom provided a great shower with two sinks toiletries and towels and all of the bed linen was beautifully clean and fresh. On arrival our check in provided us with plenty of information about the resort and also we received our club entry cards to the Well Beach Club which was fabulous and all included in our accommodation costs. The staff at reception were extremely polite, friendly and helpful and helped us store luggage and call the resort shuttle which also came free to use as part of our stay. The facilities at the resort are fantastic with a large selection of bars and restaurants not to mention obviously the beach and stunning golf courses. Thankyou Vale Do Lobo we had a fantastic stay and have already highly recommended you and would not hesitate to continue to do so.

There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay

The resort was incredible- it wasn’t clear from the booking.com listing how amazing it was. It’s a massive resort, with so many activities. The pool is a pool club which has beds and a DJ that is all included in the price. There is unlimited use of the resort shuttle to take you anywhere 24 hours a day. There are so many options for eating out- sushi, tapas, steak, pasta etc.

We had booked the cheapest apartment accommodation and while the resort itself was amazing with the best facilities, it was as though our accommodation was a little tired and forgotten about. The drainage on the balcony was blocked so had standing water on the balcony. The toaster didn’t work and the dishwasher leaked so was unusable. Otherwise, it was comfortable and did the job as far as sleeping to spend all day out and about.

The Villa was exceptional, clean and of a high standard. It was good that you were offered discount on things like the restaurants and golf with the orange resort card. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist you.

It was a shame that you could not take food and drink into the pool as the prices were exceptionally high. We paid 25 euro for 2 coffees and a bottle of water. We also found the resort shuttle service a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the service was reliable, other times you waited quite some time.

10/10 stay! Val Do Lobo Resort is amazing. Brilliant to have a shuttle service to take you to the beach and certain restaurants etc. Our townhouse was perfect for what we needed and MUCH better than what we had thought we were going into! The reception staff are so friendly and helpful - we arrived at 9am and could only check in at 5pm but they were so helpful with allowing us to leave our bags and go to explore the resort.

Only slightly annoying thing was that the property didn’t have basics like salt and pepper, toilet paper and bin bags. We were only staying for 5 days so to have to buy those for such a short stay was a bit frustrating but a minor con compared to all the pros!

I went with my sister and we both had a lovely time. The apartment was great and the bonus was that we got into the beach club for free and that we could phone the shuttle bus to take us to the destination of our choice within the Vale De Lobo area. I would definitely recommend it
