Beautiful hotel and well maintained rooms

There was a private party and we were given a letter letting us know that the deck area would be out of bounds. This is fine but I feel the service dropped slightly at this point. I went from the pool to use the bathroom and was stopped by a member of staff asking if he could help me. I said I wanted to use the toilet and was that ok? He replied yes but I was a paying guest and should be able to move about the facilities with impunity

Fantastic location with really high quality facilities (pool, gym, sauna etc). The staff are very attentive and friendly. We had a small issue with our shower drain but it was dealt with very promptly. Really relaxed vibe overall, perfect for couples

Nothing to dislike necessarily but given it’s a 4 start hotel and slightly more on the expensive side, it would be nice to see the bathrooms modernised. It was the only part of the hotel that felt dated.

The room was very comfortable but the bathroom seemed very dated. The shaving mirror was rusty and the position of the soap/shampoo etc was difficult to use as the overhead shower washing the soap off your hand while it is dipensed. The little private terrace is lovely but during the warm weather it is hard to use the seating for long as the floor mounted air con unit pumps out very warm air. Air con is essential and we were very grateful of it and not sure if there would be any options to move the outdoor unit.

The bed was very comfortable and room very clean. We were at the hotel for less than 12 hours but from what we saw everywhere looked very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel but rather expensive as it is in Quinta. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We book a standard room and these only have an empty mini bar. If you want a kettle, their sleep hub machine, etc you need to book more expensive rooms. It has a great gym.

The price ;-) And that you can’t walk to the beach or shops as it is off a busy road. They have bikes but they are not maintained (even if it is towards the end of the season). One had bad breaks and the other had a flatish tyre). The breakfast was just OK.

For my short stay it suited me perfect & could not have been better. The staff are incredibly good, very professional & helpful. I left my iPad in my room after checkout but they kept it sake until I could get back later on. There is a very good restaurant & enjoyed both dinner & breakfast, which has a wide range of food available. Easy parking. Very safe & quiet. A perfect location for me as I was only there for a meeting at Quinta do Lago golf course.

The only minor issue was that my room was quite stuffy/warm, & I don't like using the AC so the only solution was to open the door slightly as there is no window. As it was on the ground floor with direct access to the outside area, some might not feel safe doing this. I was confident that there was good security, though.

We stayed here as one of our friends was getting married somewhere else in Quinta Do Lago. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was particularly good, much better than your usual hotel breakfast.

The price of £235 per night, which included a 20% 'Genius' discount seems quite expensive especially when the size of the room is taken into account.

Convenient, if you have a car, to restaurants, bars, shopping, beaches and golf. Great breakfasts. Good bed.

Feels like an expensive motel! Standard room is tight for space. The wardrobe is too shallow so that the sliding doors catch on the clothes hangers. Hooks/knobs for hanging items on backs of doors and walls - especially in the bathroom - could be easily fitted and create a better guest experience.

Having said all that, I did have a very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was very nice. The room was very nice.

The layout of the hotel was unusual, when you checked in, the rooms were between restaurant, swimming pool and bar, which means bringing your suitcase through the lounge and past the swimming pool. Also something that guests should be aware of, although it's very close to Quinta de Lago Shopping Centre and beaches, there is no path to walk on and roads are really dangerous,so if you need to get anywhere the only mode of travel is taxi or car hire. I understand I did book peak season but I thought overall the hotel was slightly overpriced.

The Magnolia is a lovely hotel, the staff are excellent, polite and professional. The management especially in the food & beverage areas were highly visible and very attentive. The hotel "art deco" look and vibe is warm and inviting. The pool area is excellent and very well serviced with good food & beverage options. Excellent breakfast choice.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Magnolia Hotel. The staff were amazing very knowledgeable .and curtious. The breakfast was delicious ,great choice of hot and cold dishes. A kettle was supplied upon request. Will definitely stay ahain

This is a suggestion only ,perhaps to the powers that maybe ,it would enhance hotel visitors without transport ,to have an extension footbath that goes beyond shopping center to link in opposite direction to Hotel Magnolia.( Why at one end and not at other)? Hanora
