Very comfortable stay in a quiet neighborhood. Uber to Porto centre is only 5€. Fantastic ocean view with lovely sunsets. Pedro was a very good and helpful host and provided lots of nformation for nearby restaurants, supermarkets and places of interest. Pedro kept the unit clean and fresh towels and linen. Free parking was a bonus

Unfortunately there is no kitchen so cooking is not really possible unless you are eating microwave meals and foods that do not require cooking.

Well maintained and very clean and comfortable. My bicycle was safe at the rear of the property. Pedro explained everything very well and gave great recommendations for restaurants etc. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Alfazema sunset house offers an incredible view on the Atlantic Ocean as well as some part of Nova de Gaia. I used the largest room available, it was nice and spacious and has a comfortable and large bed. Pedro (host) was very friendly from the beginning and willing to help, and he allowed me to use his bike for free. The room was regularly cleaned, including refills of port wine :). Also, there is a terrace which extends the view to the coast, just like the rooms. The location is excellent and it is uphill, however do bear in mind that it is relatively far removed from Porto centre. I did use the bike frequently as the nearest subway station is 2kms removed, from there onwards you can reach Porto centre in about 15 minutes by subway.

No real disadvantages, the shared kitchen was out of use due to new COVID legislation, if this can be solved for in any way I would appreciate.

We chose it as we wanted to be near the locals and away from the busy hustle and bustle and most importantly the fee was very affordable. The lady, Margarida was a most approachable and helpful person. She kept apologising for her English, but it was absolutely fine. She checked on how we were settling in and enquired if help was needed which was greatly appreciated. The owner was also very welcoming and helpful in navigating us to good places to eat. I’ve left the best for last. Don’t bother going into Porto for the magnificent sunset show, it’s right here at the doorstep. We had an evening drink and takeaway watching this phenomenon. Super clean place, towels, and bed in maniculate condition. Huge bed and very comfortable that made our stay so nice! Especially when we were with our 9 months baby. The shower great the way we like it.The set up of the room is really good, you can hang your jacket, clothing etc. Even a bottle of water left and clean kettle is absolutely nice touch too because we don't drink tap water so was nice to have a cuppa straight away. The touch of Porto wine left in the room for two was absolutely fantastic. It made me feel special and could enjoy a glass with my hubby. Cute outside table and chairs where you could enjoy beautiful view. Parking off street, plenty space. I would do recommend Alfazema Subet House always. If will come back will try to book it again. The fun in the bathroom need to be more powerful.

Everything was perfect! Much more than I expected! Stayed for 4 nights and worked from there. *Super clean (and I am very picky!) *Very attentive and helpful *Amazing ocean and sunset views! *Everything you may need was provided (microwave, kettle, mini fridge, cups, wine glasses - to enjoy the amazing Portuguese wine, plates and so much more.) *bed and pillows very comfortable * super market near Loved the Port wine and chocolate touch that I enjoyed with the sunset view 👌❤️ Highly recommended!

Everything was 👌NO COMPLAINTS!!!

My stay at Alfazema was beyond exceptional. The house is located on a hill with a view to the ocean! You wake up everyday to that magical view literally from your bed and it takes your breath away. The room was epuipped with glasses, plates, cutlery, mugs etc. Moreover there is a small fridge and even a microwave! So if you want to warm up your leftover lunch, there is no problem. Guests can borrow an iron, umbrellas etc, the landlord has everything you need. :) The room was cozy, super clean and quiet (the area is very quiet itself). You can chill on the terasse in the hamok and look at the ocean. There are great restaurant nearby (10 mins by walk which i recommend very much- good quality for good price). About the landlord - the most hospitable, helpful and kind person ever. He was always there to help me, always responding to my questions very quickly, he recommended many nice places to eat and visit. I felt taken care of. One day I was stuck at the beach because there was no taxi available for a long time and Pedro picked me up with his car! Alfazema is located 30 mins by walk from the nearest metro station, but you can take an uber which cost 3 euro more or less. Also the ride to the beach takes 10 min by car and it costs around 5 euro. Overall i was very satisfied and if I have a chance to come back next year, I definetely will! I highly recommend alfazema. 200%.

Our stay at Alfazema Sunset House was lovely. We had everything we needed and the host was very nice and helpful. We 100% recommend staying here.

The host (Pedro) was more than helpful, making sure we have all we need and giving a lot of good advice on what we can do or visit. The area is quiet, with plenty of parking spots on the street (you could also quickly get a bolt if you do not want to drive and ) Although small, the room was clean and comfortable and you could get a great view on the terrace or directly from your bed :).

The bed squeaks because of the spring matress, but it was very comfortable - so we did not mind at all. The toilet is quite close to the shower being a smaller bathroom, so a larger person might be bothered by this. For me at 1.85 it was ok.

The view was great. It was very well organized and clean. Friendly and professional host.
