Checking in from start to finish was easy. Reception very pleasant. Hotel was clean and a great place to stay for a weekend trip/overnight stay as it is only a 10 minute walk into the centre, which was stunning with lots of historic buildings. Plenty of restaurants.

If you are driving some details reference the parking would be useful as I had to contact the hotel prior to arrival, which was not a problem as reception messaged back fairly quickly, however it would have been beneficial to know you can park right outside the hotel and check-in prior to parking your car in the underground carpark below the hotel and take the lift straight to your floor.

Gran Hotel Corona Sol is a beautiful hotel. It is a full service 4-star hotel that is well equipped for groups and also wonderful for couples like us. Our hotel room was spacious as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked great. The hotel staff was very gracious and accommodating. The restaurant offered typical Spanish traditional cuisine and soups which were delicious. The breakfast buffet was extensive. It was a 10-to-15-minute bus ride to the Basilica, University and historical Plaza Mayor Old Town area and a ten-minute return by taxi. We highly recommend this hotel for a most comfortable and pleasant stay.

Excellent 4 Star hotel, great value in late October. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Large room with two opening windows and views of the cathedral and surrounds. Light and airy. Comfortable king sized bed. Good sized bathroom with bidet. Fridge. Parking available on site but we found free street parking two blocks away. Supermarket on lower level of building. Easy walk to centre. Very quiet area. Only spent a day in Salamanca, could have stayed longer, very nice place to visit. Lots of joint people around. Would recommend hotel and stay there again

Lovely hotel, very well located close to the older part of town which made it very easy to stroll down & soak up this amazing place. The room was a very decent size with a huge bathroom (& a fantastic "car-wash" shower). My room was quite a long walk from the lift down a very long corridor - just something to bear in mind if you have limited mobilty but thankfully this wasn't an issue. Lovely 3 course dinner was only €15 & the wine list certainly wasn't overpriced. Secure underground parking.

If I had to pick something, the barman was a bit grumpy - but I'm really splitting hairs. Overall everyone was very friendly.

Very good location and bed and all pillow was very clean and comfortable. Easy to access center of city and there were a lot of convenient places around there. Most of all, the view of outside of window of room was perfect.

If you used private parking lot, you should check the location first through check-in counter. Because there are some the traffic restriction area around the hotel, it wasn't easy to find out the hotel.

Large, well appointed hotel. Clean and modern with private underground car park. Very friendly staff. The old town is about a 15-20 minute walk away.

The only problem we had was finding the entrance ro the car park, which is shared with the supermarket and set back slightly from the road. That said, it's all part of the adventure when driving in an unfamiliar place

Nice room with a comfortable bed. Good location about a 15 minute walk from Plaza Major. We arrived at about 9pm in the evening and the receptionist was very nice and arranged a table for us in the restaurant.

Our room had a shower over a bath and it wasn't possible to have a bath as the plug wouldn't stay down. The breakfast buffet was Ok but not great; croissants etc could have been fresher.

Hotel was very reasonably priced, perhaps due it to being located a 15 - 20 minutes walk away from historic old centre. It is a large hotel able to cater for large groups, but we never felt neglected. At night the area is quiet, but within walking distance to several bars frequented by locals. A supermarket located around the corner in the same building was handy. Reception staff were always very helpful and courteous. House staff were welcoming and courteous. We liked being able to open our windows to gain fresh air. Breakfast was satisfactory, but not outstanding.

Nothing to dislike.

Only there1 night but easily found and was in walking distance to most sights and restaurants. Breakfast was reasonable, fresh fruit and pastries and good coffee but could be improved.

Having to pay for parking and although we went to breakfast when it opened at 7.30am hot food, bacon and eggs, was disappointing as it was cold.

I had a fantastic view of the cathedral from my room on the fifth floor. The hotel is 10 minutes walk away from the cathedral and Plaza Mayor.

I would suggest to add an electric tea kettle in the room. They have a mini fridge in each room. They have a restaurant and bar. It would be nice to have a coffee barista in the morning.
