Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The bar setting was cozy inside and the roof top section was a nice surprise. Hotel offers parking and had a security guard in the lobby at all times, well dressed. The property and room was clean including the elevators. Free WiFi was offered. It appears that they hold luggage for guests. Water provided free at the front desk. Nice view of a side street I had. Quiet location. I didn’t have any issues with staff. I was pleased to see staff in a uniform top so they were clearly identifiable if needed, and it gave a professional appearance.

Housekeeping had to be requested. Maybe they are short staffed. Management should definitely provide housekeeping with more products to replenish, hire additional staff. My lengthy stay there, I saw where there’s room for improvement in that department. The cafe prices are expensive. Make use of the supermarkets in the area and the fridge in your room. There’s a microwave in the cafe for guests. Additionally or brighter lights in the room I would have preferred. Maybe it’s an energy saving light system but too dark for me.

Very Well located in Downtown Brooklyn! Close to the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge. Close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Subway station from a short walking distance. Very clean, spacious room and bathroom.

The front desk staff was not polite and or kind at all. I arrived and since it was my first time at the hotel they didn’t explain about wifi, how to call the front desk in case I needed it, how to use the TV… nothing. In the room there wasn’t any orientations of any kind.

The bed is comfortable with good support and the room size is fairly reasonable and is bigger than most of the hotel in NY. The location is about 15 mins walk to food hall, supermarket, and subway station, restaurants. Very convenient.

The shower stall needs improvement to block the water from spilling out when taking shower. The glass panel design does not come with a glass door therefore the water spill out vastly when taking shower. I had to improvise by using a plastic sheet to build a small panel to prevent the water from spilling out to the bathroom.

Firstly, the location is amazing. It's right by Jay St. Metro, and the Brooklyn Bridge is a short walk away. We were up and out the door by 8am or so every morning, and weren't back until 11pm or so most nights, so it was ideal as a home base in that regard. The rooms themselves are comfortable, the bed was lovely! The bathroom was exactly what you want, and the shower was great!

The staff could be a little bit more proactive in terms of room service. They outline that they will service your room every second day, however we stayed for 7 nights and received only one room service. Moreover, we had to call down for towels twice as there were no large towels provided on first checking in, and after that one room service.

Lovely clean (very clean) room with lots of space and a swanky mirror that slides open to join the beautiful bathroom and main room. We were checked in by Charles who was pleasant and a warm welcome. Room availability was limited for what we booked via mobile deal on booking.com and we were kindly given an upgrade. Really beautiful decor throughout and the reception lounge was stunning. The first part of our trip was planned around a surprise Miami Heat vs Nets game and the location of The Tillary was ideal for this. 20 min walk to Barclays Centre and Lafayette. 18 min walk to Dumbo. 10 min walk to a new small shopping and food hall complex at Applebee Square which also had Primark and Target and Trader Joes! There’s a gas station very close by too. Room AC worked and heated up fast to keep us warm as we visited during a cooler feb period. The little cupboard space was perfect for hanging coats and slotting away shoes and there was a luggage bench too. Toiletries we received were bar soap, shampoo and conditioner - we purchased our own Handwash/soap and body wash for approx $4 from a local target. Iron, hair dryer and room safe were available. We didn’t use the television as we were only really sleeping here. Staying in downtown Brooklyn for three days was made perfect by staying here. Try to look out for the mobile offers - we booked our hotel the day we arrived (Valentines day) and it allowed us to catch a good deal.

The noise travelled from the corridor a lot and we were often able to hear other guests walking down the hall so the soundproofing could definitely improve. Also, seems to be common with most hotels in New York but there’s a limited offer for bread and breakfast board basis. The Tillary did have a small sandwich shop in the main reception which we did try the day we checked out. Toilet could use a soft close lid as it is heavy and slammed a couple times - just felt wary of disturbing others.

there was no dresser/chest of drawers, just shelves. The only chairs were just straight back. no easy chairs

Our room was on the 3rd floor that's why a little bit loudy. And also I think you can put slippers in the room for guests. We'd need it.

The hotel and the room was spotless (at least what we could see). The room was clean and there was nothing wrong with the room (beside the strange sliding mirror that opens up from the room to the bathroom itself....no idea who had that idea, but it is at leas funny and strange in the same time). The neighborhood was nice and safe even at night which made the hotel a perfect place to start and end your day to explore the New York area as it is also very easy to reach Manhattan or other areas (metro stations are at maximum 15 minutes of slow walking). As a bonus, the hotel helped us store our luggage from when we arrived in the morning till late night in a good and organized way (with tags, not just storing it) that made us feel that our luggage was safe as we explored the city.

The covering sheets are not on my taste (I name this type of covering sheets as sandwich sheets) that are annoying and also not the best fabric to be made of, but beside this, there is nothing else to mention as bad.
