The hotel is a great place, famous in the local area for its unique design. The location outside of Amstersam city centre did make it somewhat more reasonably priced for the quality of the hotel. It was clean with our room serviced every day. The staff were very attentive and it had all the facilities you could require. I did make use of the Wellness facilities (swimming pool, sauna, and steam room) 3 times in a 4 night stay so i would recommend these. My partner and I really liked it and would happily recommend it to others. Easy to get back into Amsterdam city Centre, either by train or bus.

The only thing was that I found the beds quite soft and the pillows somewhat uncomfortable, but that is just a personal preference. Everything else with the room and hotel was fine.

The location was fantastic for a trade show visit, especially with Zaandam train station just a minute's walk away, making public transport very convenient. The area around the hotel had everything you could need, from a large supermarket to a wide variety of restaurants and shops. The rooms were spacious, clean, and perfect for a business stay, and the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive.

The only downside was that the rates were a bit high during the trade show dates, possibly due to peak season. However, considering the quality and convenience, it was still a pleasant experience overall.

The location was good, not far from the centre with easy access to motorways. The style of the hotel and decor was really pleasing. There was a shopping area and train station close by. Breakfast was quite good. The concierge was extremely helpful, she recommended eating places and even called and made us a reservation. The size of the apartment was rally good with a high floor view.

Didn't realise the apartment was so big and offered an extra bed, booked two apartments when I really needed one, they refused to cancel the 2nd bedroom which was really not needed. It was our joint fault, the hotel didn't make it clear a family of 3 could stay in one apt and I could have called to clarify. At the end of the day the hotel could have cancelled the reservation for the 2nd room but they refused.

Beautiful quirky building. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered a welcome pack with fizz on arrival as my friend and I were both celebrating birthdays. The fizz was lovely and the platter looked beautiful but it was all sweet things and we had been expecting some savoury delicacies too. I mentioned it to reception and they brought us an amazing array of local cheeses, charcuterie, olives etc. absolutely delicious! The hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a delicious meal there on our last night. Excellent location too. Zandaam has a lovely centre but we also went to Zaanse Schans to the museums and windmills and into Amsterdam - excellent transport links. The swimming pool was lovely ,- I had it all to myself & with the mural on the wall it was like swimming in the river by the windmills.

The hotel itself is stylish. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is reliable. The location is very convenient — just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to get to Amsterdam or the airport. Being right in the city center, the hotel is also a great base for exploring the main sights — everything is within walking distance.

Some rooms are clearly tired and in need of renovation. The hotel is located on the busiest street with traffic, and if your windows face it, it feels like you’re sleeping right on that street. Even with the windows shut, the noise is very noticeable — the soundproofing is practically non-existent.

Everyone was stopping to take photos of this hotel. Just a short walk from the train station and the lovely walk along the flowered canal. My room had a nice view of the other coloured buildings and the room was spacious with an alcove near the window with table and chair plus a desk with a chair. There was a luggage rack too and bedside tables with reading lamps which are always important to me. There was a coffee station as well. The breakfast in the morning was very good and even had champagne! I had an excellent chicken and bacon Caesar salad and wine in the restaurant bar area.

It was all good.

This hotel was really nice. I booked it on a trip to Amsterdam for my daughters 10th birthday. If you're thinking of coming here with children go for it! Rooms have robes, slippers, bath, shower, a mini fridge, a safe, TV, towels and toiletries. Pool is gorgeous my daughter played in it for hours. We didn't eat here but it does have a gorgeous restaurant. Lots of shops outside, it's a nice little town. Every staff member went above and beyond. They even gave my daughter a little box of sweets shaped like the hotel. We checked out and went to zaanse schans. Train station is a very short walk away from the hotel. 10 out of 10 from us

Only complaint we had was that we couldn't get onto my netflix we wanted a movie night and didn't fancy having to pay for them on the TV. They do have chrome cast but netflix doesn't stream

Room fairly decent and quiet although you look into the city center so noise and lights are highly likely. in the colder weather that is fine as you can close the window and not hear or see a thing. The breakfast is also fine, no vegan options if someone needs them. The staff seems nice enough.

with the view of the city, i believe in warmer months the noise or that someone can see you while taking pictures seems likely ( the curtains are somewhat impractical). Taking away the bathrobe, slippers and taking away one towel from one day to another, while the same people stay in the room is also a bit impractical. not much amenities in the bathroom (e.g. conditioner)

Location...very easy to access Amsterdam and day trips. Restaurant and bar very good and great breakfast. Staff excellent especially Dafne who was very obliging when it came to dramas with our room. Local eateries..Logan Cafe...are great...there's even Maccas if you're desperate.

Had to change rooms..the first was not what we booked, the second looked on to a brick wall...not very nice if you're there for 6 nights and for the price, but third time lucky . Room on the 10th floor. It's very expensive but that's the same all over Europe

Picturesque location in the heart of Zaandam. Good shopping right outside hotel in an attractive and welcoming environment. Easy pedestrian access to the train station and, therefore, Amsterdam and Schiphol airport. Breakfast was plentyful and tasty. Tables cleared and cleaned promptly. Lovely wellness suite with great pool, sauna and steam rooms. The real bonus was that it was open from 6am-11pm. Reception staff helpful and smiley. Left luggage facility if you arrive early or leave late. Good size bathroom even in our cheapest of rooms. Room cleaned and serviced well.

The soft bed mattresses seemed a bit oversized so when you sat on the edge it gave way under you. Pillows (2) a bit too big and firm for my liking, but my wife had no complaints. There is a fridge in the room, but it's empty and did not appear at all cool. A vending machine on floor 3 replaces the minibar.
