Very comfy and very close to the Nara station. Go left as you exit the station, down the escalators and turn left after you pass Lawson's store and then left again and you'll the hotel. There is a supermarket in the station. Gives lots of amenities like facial cream and cleanser so no need to pack your own. Staff are helpful.

Unfortunately children of elementary age can't join a parent of a different sex into the hot baths. So my 7 year old boy couldn't go in with me (his mother) and he didn't want to go alone into the male ones since clothes are not allowed and he didn't want to be naked in a room with naked men! Hot baths were a bit hot for me, but we did visit in late summer. I didn't realise you had to attend naked I wasted room in the suitcase bringing swimsuits, so don't make the same mistake.

My favorite hotel in Japan! The rooms are amazing, compact but felt quite spacious. Has everything a person could need with extra amenities such as skincare, toothbrushes and coffee packs on the reception floor. The hot baths are a must visit! Highly recommend, as well as the resting area on fort of the bath entries - grab a frozen snack and enjoy peace alone or with a friend. The washing machines cost 500 yen to use, can be monitored from the room TV and my clothes were left completely dry, fresh and spotless. Staff were friendly. The location is perfect, 3 minutes away from the train station, enough stores nearby in a 5 minute radius. If I ever visit Nara again, this is my definite choice!

it was not specified that there's an additional fee for women's onsen. when receptionist mentioned there's a public onsen we were under the impression that it was free for all to use. however, it was rlly inconvenient and misleading when we realized that there's a separate security key for women & that there's a fee for it

Like: as usual daiwa never disappoint. It’s really good efficient and staffs are helpful. They could understand some English too which is great since a day out we have exhausted most energy trying our best to understand! The hot spring is good too. But there was a fairly young lady (about early 20s-30) who was using her phone in the onsen.. it was disturbing but maybe generation has changed? Conveniently located as well. Dislike: perhaps a better instruction given to people new to onsen is good eg. Don’t stare , no phones etc, how to get in the onsen and such. No running in the changing rooms, I realise there are people doing that. Running naked or half naked 😆 I believe it’s really important to understand their social cues as I was smiling “directly “ to one of the staff(named Huang) during check in , he was unhappy about it and gossiped infront of me the next time we came back to the hotel and also stared at me while we were getting supplies near the elevator. Quite grudge holding but life still goes on.

It was a great stay. The hotel was located very close to the station and was easy to find. Check-in was efficient and smooth. The staff were polite and friendly. I liked the self-service amenity bar the hotel had in reception (the coffee bags in particular were great!). Room was a good size (above average for Japan) and was really comfortable - I especially liked the wall decorations (Nara deer art). Wi-Fi was fast and worked well. There were laundry facilities and vending machines available in the hotel which worked well too. Breakfast was more focused on Japanese foods and there were only a small number of Western choices available but I enjoyed it and it had some local specialities on the menu as well. From the hotel, it was easy to walk to Nara Park (about 15 mins) or to the bus station for the circular bus. All in all, it was a great stay in a beautiful town.

The English language function on the TV didn't seem to work, when you clicked the option it did nothing. But I managed to figure out the menu options eventually!

Great hotel to stay in Nara, in front of the JR station. The room was clean and quiet, and well equipped (even cables to charge your phone). The public bath is wide and quiet as well, the water temperature is perfect, and both face and bath towels are provided. Breakfast is buffet and covers both european and asian cuisine, with some local food from Nara too. Very good quality, and a wide choice of food, I was impressed. I will definitely stay again the next time I go to Nara

Not really a bad point but check in was a bit tedious, having to input your details on a self checkin machine, especially when the receptionist is just beside ready to help you. He very efficiently corrected my mistype

A simple and comfortable base right next to the JR station, making it really easy to explore this small but incredibly charming city. My rating suffers a little bit from comparison with one of the same group's Kyoto hotels, which had just a little more space and just a few more extra services like a self-operated baggage storage room - but that might simply be a function of available real estate. In the end, this hotel met all my expectations and I would happily stay there again.

Given the room was pretty small, it's understandable there wasn't much space to put things but some creative design could have produced more usable drawers or a couple of foldaway racks. But this is more a desire than a criticism. We didn't really have any significant issues managing with the available fixtures.

Fairly new hotel, super clean and staff very helpful. Having laundry and change machines were a nice touch for us to refresh our suitcases half way into our trip. The crib provided for our Bub was superb and a good size for the room. Location at the station was very convenient for us as we preferred that getting on and off transport with a baby and luggage and travelling to Nara park and temples the following days from accommodation.

Rooms are big, very well equiped. Breakfast is very good! Location is awesome!

I had a very bad experiance with one staff lady. I'm not going to go into details but let's say it was a mistake of one young employee without experience. Simple, you cannot call your guests at 1AM to come to the reception. They are sleeping and please DO NOT do that ever again! All other employeese were great! They helped with the bags and other details.

Good hotel, great breakfast with loads of choice and good quality, nice onsen bathing facility and social area for reading etc. Decent clean rooms. Nice courtesy item offering in the reception (toothbrush etc.).

The room was not particularly large, no floor space to put down a trolley let alone 2. Also the bathroom was mini. There are too few coin washers and dryers and there was a line to use them.
