The hotel is not brand new and you can see some signs of age, but it’s well maintained and very clean. The staff is friendly, everything works as it should, and the location is excellent – just a 10-minute walk to Souq Waqif. Great value for money. The swimming pool and gym were clean and well-kept, and the hotel smelled nice overall. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Doha. Highly recommended!

The best place in town for sightseeing! The hotel is located 5 min walk from the old town, the souq, and 15 minwalk to the seaside, corniche, and Mia island. It's also easy to walk to the museum of Islamic art, which is a must-see. You wish to be near the old town as that's the nicest part of Doha and buzzing with people, vendors, and great many restaurants and cafés. The hotel room was very big, had a nice seated area and the staff was super polite. We were travelling during Ramadan so room service was really helpful and prices are reasonable. The room was cleaned every day. Also, the hotel is only 10 min walk from the red metro line that goes to the airport. Daily metro pass is 6 Qatari riyal, so that's how little can get you around. Alternatively, Uber is a great option, too - we took Uber when we were leaving and paid 17 Qatari riyal to the airport. I highly recommend this place. Great value for money.

Rooms ambience was very good. Female receptionist was very helpful and all other staff except one young guy who was at reception while I was doing checkout.

One young guy on reception was annoying. When I took the room I noticed big towels were missing but I didn't told on reception as I was very tired. When I was doing checkout this guy asked very badly about towels. I told him it was not there when I came. So whenever you guys handover the room to anyone please mention things in room or show them the list so at checkout no such questions should arrive. Washroom was good but water level of tiles was not fine so water was standing behind Muslim shower. Overall room and staff was helpful.

Excellent location. Hotel cleanliness. What I will be mentioning below didn't affect my evaluation for the hotel itself but it need to be mentioned.

I wasn't lucky, my room was in the first floor, the window was not sealing properly and sound proofing from outside was not perfect, in addition to that, there is a construction project ongoing on that area, so starting from 6:30AM the noise start. I asked to change the room but finally I accepted to keep it to avoid moving my luggage from place to another..

Helpful staff. Front office always help for request. Breakfast was tasty. In Ramadan they serve it in room. Inside my room carpet was with visible spots from previous guests. But I think it not possible to remove. Only with carpet. Internet fast. Room quiet. In corridor smell cigarettes. Nevertheless there is notice (not smoke). Some guests are not following it. So when HK clean, door stays open and some smell can come in room. On general it was comfortable. I can recommend.

Wonderful, extremely polite and helpful staff, who are available to help 24/7! Excellent daily house-keeping on my room. Enjoyed the walking distances to Souq Waqif and Msheireb area (both 5min walk), walk to metro is about 10min and to the Corniche St shore about 10min. Otherwise, helpful staff always ordered a car for me upon request! Note: the swimming pool opening hours and gym (these were surprise to me, as I hadnt checked in advance). Towels provided at these. Didn’t test the breakfast, but enjoyed the kettle in the room for Nescafe+Tea and the mini-fridge. Very comfy bed: slept very well here. Stayed for a week at Royal Qatar hotel, and would stay again next time in Doha. Very good value-for-money! Sukhran!

Everything is fine about Royal Qatar Hotel I really like this hotel consider is my first time to visit but everything was perfect,the lobby is large and ambiance The staffs were very professional from my check in there was an Arab lady very professional and welcoming the rooms are large and very comfortable And during check out was very smooth I found a Kenyan lady Gati in reception was also very professional and welcoming hope management will consider this 2 women they're an asset to this hotel for sure I will recommend my friends to ROYAL QATAR HOTEL the place to be ,I forgot to mention house keeping team also they're doing very good job ,any assistance they were there to assist great team and May ALLAH bless all the hotel staff's plus management for the well done job

Friendly and helpful staff, good location and nice view from the hotel room. Uber was never more than 1 min away and walking distance to many things

It was a smoking room (didn't think anyone did that anymore) and not possible to open the windows, so smelled bad. Windows had not been washed in a long time, which was a shame since the view was really nice.

Very good location. About a 10 minute walk to Souq Waqif station. The Staff are Very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to have a late check out. Rooms clean and neat. There is a set menu for breakfast, not a buffet. Breakfast was good and the order came quickly. I didn't use the gym or pool.

Central air conditioning in the room so i couldnt adjust it. It was very cold at night. I am sure someone would've assisted if I told them but I arrived very late at night and just wanted to sleep.

There was a strong shower and close to both the souq watif (5 mins walk) and a short ride to the airport (15 mins). We had a 2am flight and so used it to sleep and shower after spending the afternoon layover at the souq with friends. Very cheap and great location.

Nothing. It was a little dated but for what we wanted was a great price.
