1-Reception staff was not very cooperative to get us rooms next to each. Initially she told us no rooms next to each other. We accepted that. But when we entered the rooms we realized that we were given smokers room( we don’t smoke and we have kids). Then she gave us other rooms which were next to each other immediately! 2- hidden fees: We were given specific price for the breakfast upon our check in. However, after having the breakfast, a staff member was sent to our room with different price. The justification was we have not reserved at the check in desk in advance!! However, we were not told about that clearly at all!!

Alwadi Hotel exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect, right by Msheireb and close to Souq Waqif. The hotel is spotless, with luxurious L’Occitane products. Special thanks to Iskandar at reception—his professionalism and warm welcome made our stay even better. The staff assisting with luggage were also fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel for its service, cleanliness, and great location!

The location was excellent for my one night’s stay as I particularly wanted to visit the Museum of Islamic Art. It also had very easy access to the Souq. The staff I met were exceptional. They were very helpful and friendly. The doormen especially made me feel welcome. My in room service included an extra treat which was appreciated. I arrived very early in the morning after a long flight. I sppreciated the hotel allowing me to access my room later in the morning rather than usual time in the afternoon. . The day I visited was particularly hot so I wasn’t able to do as much as I would have liked particularly. The hotel was a very nice cool retreat.

I was happy with everything and would use the hotel again on another visit.

I had an amazing stay at the Alwadi Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a celebrity—many of the staff recognised me from my previous visits, which made me feel truly special. I was even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. Before my arrival, I requested a yoga mat and was told it would be available in the spa and gym. When I couldn’t find one there, I let the staff know right away. They responded quickly, not only bringing one to me but also placing a mat in my room. Their attention to detail was impressive. Every staff member I interacted with—from reception and housekeeping to the breakfast team—was outstanding. I stayed from August 8th to August 15th, and everyone on duty during that time went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I wish I could name each person individually, but they all know who they are. Their kindness and professionalism made my stay unforgettable.

Hi All, Alwadi Hotel is a great place to stay with an amazing location. It's right next to Souq Waqif, the new Gold Souq, and many other top spots to visit while in Doha. The staff were outstanding. They gave 100% effort in helping us and even walked us part of the way to nearby places so we wouldn’t get lost. The breakfast was delicious and included a wide variety of foods for all tastes. The staff were very welcoming and Mr Moys in particular greeted us each day as though we were good friends. The hotel location was very good being a few hundred metres from Souq Waqif where we dined at the stunningly decorated Parisa Restaurant. Across the road was the free local tram that took us to the nearby 4 Msheireb museums which covered the fascinating history of QATAR. Our favourite concierge ever was Emmanual who provided lots of information, booked our dinner reservation at Parisa and most of all provided a surprise 57th wedding anniversary goodies platter in our room. His good humour and caring attitude was second to none! He made us feel very special.

Our particular bugbear as travellers is the lack of 2 armchairs for resting after a full day of walking around city sights. On a number of occasions our room was not serviced until mid afternoon which was inconvenient as we needed a rest after experiencing 47 degree heat!

I had an amazing stay at Alwadi hotel, The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. I want to give a special shoutout to Melvin, who went above and beyond to assist me during my stay. His helpfulness truly made a difference. I highly recommend this place. Location is so convenient to move around, facing Souq Waqef and 2 min from msheireb metro station, monoprix is steps away. The best part of my stay was the pool and a big thanks to the life guards who were always there to assist without even asking.

Beds and pillows are perfect. Blinds work well. Bathroom was very clean and clear and perfect. The room is spacious and very technological. Staff is very nice. Breakfast was fantastic - the steward even organized all our toiletries/make-up there were unorganized on the first day. Location is def superb - 5 or less minutes walks from the souk and right on the new downtown area.

Nothing to complain, but considering I have to write more sentences, I'd say that: be careful when asking for an uber, since the location does not always go perfectly - staff was eager to help though, and went to get the uber driver that drived past the hotel entrance.

What a wonderful hotel! Staying at this hotel made our visit to Qatar all the more wonderful and unforgettable one! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu is very exciting! Hnin and Juditl in particular are friendly and supportive at the restaurant. Their coffee is excellent. I enjoyed it very much. Salma at the reception was quick to respond to our needs. She is also very friendly. Ghana also took a good care of us. Saber at the spa gave us a tour of the facility and even suggested some great plans for us. The hotel is close to a metro station, Souq and a good supermarket. When we checked out and was on our way to the airport, Masoud who always greeted us with a smile at the consiege told us that “This is your second home and you are welcome to come back anytime”. I was very moved by his sincere words. We left the hotel with such a wonderful feeling. The professional and friendly staff made it even more unforgettable visit to Qatar for us.Thank you all for your warm hospitality and professional service! We’ll see you again!

I travel frequently but this is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed in for some time. The location is perfect - you are bang in the centre of the Msheireb district. The Souq Waqif is literally across the road, the metro station 5 mins walk and less than 10 mins walk to the Corniche. The hotel looks new and is super clean. The rooms are large and I had a great corniche view room on a high floor. Everything is super comfortable, the breakfast is great and there is a nice little pool and spa. On top of that the staff everywhere in hotel go out of the way to make your stay memorable. All in all made for a great stay and would definitely recommend.
