The location of the property was good, there were two MRT stations very close to it. Mustafa Market was quite close to it and there were many Halal Food options available nearby. Even MacDonald's and Burger king were Halal. The property had a very cool and friendly atmosphere where multiethnic people could interact with each other. We liked their policy of no shoes in the reception or common area. As it was a hostel so the rooms were small and the female guests complained about lack of privacy in the mixed rooms. I feel this is doable by putting simple curtains on the lower beds. The breakfast was very simple to almost non existent. We used to arrange our own breakfast. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was excellent. There was no lack of communication and the management used to promptly reply to my whatsapp messages.

The reception was located on the Second floor. And the rooms were on the third floor. The entrance or stairs of the property were extremely shabby and dirty. The tiles had worn out and needed to be changed. I had complained to the management also about it. There was shortage of crockery in the kitchen, especially there were no plates there. They used to rent the electric adopters for 2S$ where as the same could be purchased for 2$ from outside. It should have been free. Pl see the pics of the adopters for your information. We stayed there for five days and throughout that time wifi was not available in the rooms due to unserviceability.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my friends. We had a private room with 3 beds, quite spacious and comfy. There are multiple bathrooms on the floor, so no toilet queues. Location is nice, close to multiple metro stops, and surrounded by many local food courts. Staff was very helpful, especially one lady (I don't remember her name unfortunately ://) who helped us planning our upcoming trip to Malaysia. Overall, good experience :)

The room has no windows, and the AC was extremely strong, even at the highest temperature. Walls were very thin, so we could hear some noise from the hallway.

2nd time to stay here! Near 2 different train stations and bus stations, thick mattresses, rooms that separate males and females (kinda hard to look for these in SG), large common area with microwave, hot and cold water, sink, fridge, we arrived earlier and they let us go to our room earlier too! There are lots of food stalls downstairs, a supermarket and convenience stores nearby

No privacy because the beds do not have curtains (unlucky if you get top bunk), cannot control AC temp, they require you to be remove shoes in the common area but the floor is dirty, shower rooms can get flooded because of very few drainages, rooms are at the 3rd floor so those with large luggagea may find it difficult (no elevators)

First of all, it is very important for our family when we travel, is to have a budget friendly place that is clean and comfortable which is what the Rucksack Inn has. Aside from the location is near to the tourist destinations we wanted to visit. The Convenience of having the MRT nearby is a really great factor for us especially when we don't want to spend much for a taxi cab or grab. Upon booking, we requested to exclusively use the 6-beds room. And they really have it for us unlike any other hostel who didn't consider our request. With that, having a very accommodating receptionist like ate Chris, is also a really big help to having a memorable stay in Rucksack. She was very hospitable, very helpful, she assisted us with all our needs, she's very friendly. And all the more, she was very concerned with all the guests. And we are very thankful that she or they let us leave our things after we checkout while we still have 1 last spot to go before going to our flight. This is my 2nd time in Rucksack and I will definitely come back hopefully soon. And definitely recommend this to our family and friends.

There's nothing I can complain about, everything is worth it.

I liked everything in this hostel, the comfy beds, the diversity of the people, the location of the area which is near to every public transportations they have in Singapore, and especially the staffs which are very accommodating and easy to talk with, I'd like to commend the staff at the time namely Ms. Maricris for the exceptional service and doing beyond its job description!

The place was located within walking distance of quite a number of bus stops and train stations, as well as a lot of eateries and foot massage places. I ABSOLUTELY loved the beanbags in the shared/communal area, it was very relaxing to sit/lay down on them when just chilling or even working. The internet speed was swift.

The only thing I can think of that I didn't like about my stay was that there were too few shower and toilet stalls. I felt that there wasn't enough privacy, and dry flooring, for when changing into new clothes once done showering. I think there should've been a waste bin in the toilet stall as well.

The property has two different MRT stations within 5 minutes by walk, and Lavender station is only 30-40 minutes away from Changi Airport without change. Staffs were very nice. They speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese fluently. The beds, rooms, and public area with kitchen were all clean. The surrounding neighbourhood has a wide variety of choices in foods. I frequently visit Singapore and have stayed in different accommodations, I think this property was the best among them.

The toilets and shower box were clean, however it's always wet, so any in-house flip-flops are strongly recommended.

I love how clean Rucksack is. The staffs are so friendly and so helful. They even take care of my umbrella when I left it around the kitchen because it was still wet. I am so glad that I stayed here for Christmas & New Year.

Close to MRT, super nice and helpful staff, close to hawkers, very nice price to for Singapore, amazing soft bed with duvet, good AC when it was on, great lockers provided, sometimes the WiFi was great - sometimes not working, street not noisy, enough toilets and showers all the time, no curfew - 24/7 reception

Only AC at night in the rooms, lobby has AC 24/7, the guests were very different from the rest of SE-Asia - they were very noisy and not so used to the hostel situation, showers difficult to get hot, bathrooms smell a little moist, no towel or soap provided
