Recently refurbished with a large bed and a large bathroom with a good shower. Clean, tea, coffee, and kettle provided. AC worked well. Good location being in walking distance to MRT, City Square Mall, and Berseh hawker centre. About half an hour by taxi from the airport so good if you are just staying a night or two and have an early flight.

The building dates back to the 1920s/30s and I had stayed some years ago. The refurbishment was clearly needed, but some of the character has been lost. Previously it had very sizable corner rooms--that appears not to be the case now.

Upon check-in, I was impressed by the room's cleanliness and modernity. Although the standard room is slightly small, it suited my needs since I didn't have luggage. The standout features include a larger-than-average smart TV with Netflix, not so common in boutique hotels– a key selling point. The room, including the bedsheets and pillows, was clean and new. While I personally prefer slightly firmer pillows, this is subjective. The thoughtful dressing table is convenient, especially for those with take-outs. The room's lighting and design, along with matching wallpaper, create a lovely ambiance. Surprisingly, the toilet is spacious, and I appreciate the design of the tiles complementing the rain shower. Ample power sockets are a practical touch. Checking in around 8+ pm was seamless, with a polite, friendly and concise front desk. The hotel corridor was undergoing renovations, but it didn't affect my stay. While expectations vary, I was more than satisfied with my stay at Kam Leng and would consider booking again for future staycations.

The only issue I encountered was with the bidet spray; despite attempting to adjust the main knob, no water came out. The sink faucet initially ran brown, possibly due to renovations, but running it for a while resolved the issue. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention this during check-out. The corner room offers privacy, but being next to a storeroom, there was some noises in the morning from movement. The ongoing renovations, as communicated by the management, did create some noise. Despite these minor issues, they didn't significantly impact my overall stay.

Maybe a mini fridge in each room and the light attach to the wall can be use as night light to sleep. 🤗

It is close to public transport.

It’s renovating on these days. So we have to go a long way to find an elevator to go up. Doors and windows are opening to another anonymous building.

The room is big have a lot space toilet very clean and neat fell warm and fresh.

The newly renovated room is very nice and comfortable. My check in procedure is smooth and the staff is very friendly!
