Over-all, superb place to stay in Makkah. We stayed here for 3 nights, with 3 kids. Its approx 3 km from Haram, so kind of walkable distance. There was shuttle service from the hotel, running every 15-20 mins. But, shuttle takes you to the central shuttle bus stop, and from there we get another set of govt. run shuttles (specific to Haram). Location of this hotel was convenient for shuttle too, the central shuttle bus stop was like 10 mins walk downhill. So, instead of sitting in Hotel shuttle (which had to go through the traffic, sometimes heavy traffic), we used to just walk downhill to the central shuttle bus stop and take govt. run shuttle to haram. We did same on the way back too, which is a little up-hill but better than waiting in the bus to get enough people for it to start. Specially in nights, hotel shuttle bus (from central shuttle bus stop to hotel) used to wait for enough people to be in the bus before starting, so we used to wait for few minutes and if it doesn't start then just walk back to hotel. Breakfast was really good, with multiple options/cuisines, and continuous refilling. All of us, especially kids, loved the food options. Room and bathroom were very clean, and daily service was an added bonus with kids. The quadruple room was spacious enough for 2 adults + 3 kids. And Room decor were very much new and well presented, so when we entered the room on day 1, everyone was like "wow". Staff was really helpful, no issues with anything.

No restaurant near the hotel. Either order by food app or pick it up on ur way back from Haram. Shuttle service does not run per schedule. It's. 5-7 min ride but took us 45 min average including wait. The shuttle is mostly standing outside the hotel so u could sit and wait. The guests from the adjacent hotel use our bus which makes it full during peak hours. Sometimes there were more people from nearby hotel than ours. Pls give the driver a guest list so we could state the main guest name and room number to board the bus. It's a bit inconvenient but not finding a seat after already walking a lot in Haram or worse to get down and wait for next shuttle when u have parents who cant stand and travel, the minor inconvenience of stating our details to driver is better.

The hotel is 5 star categorically and has opened up in August 2024. Even the rooms and corridors had this fresh smell. The buffet breakfast was way better than expected. The room was big for a family of 4 Although the Hotel is slightly far from Haram but they have managed it well with their own shuttle buses, which operate 24 hour between the hotel and Haram at every 30-minute interval.. And even then, the taxi will charge you 10 Riyal

The distance from Haram was a concern, but that was well covered by the hotel with their shuttle buses, and other than that beside the hotel, there are no restaurants or any shops. A long walk uphill is tiring..

Its a brand new hotel with friendly staff, a comfortable bed and well designed spaces. The breakfast was good too. The location is pretty decent relative to the non walking distance hotels to the haram because its a 5 min drive, so a cab is easy to get and they also offer a bus every 30 mins from either hotel or haram. Its a 4-5 star hotel experience minus the walkability, but you save at least 40% so if you're looking to save a bit, its definitely a good choice.

Honestly, it was pleasant all around, the occupancy was pretty low so it was kind of empty and im curious to see if they can maintain the service level once the hotel starts filling up

I have stayed in various 4 and 5 star hotels in Makkah but this is by far the best one. Very friendly staff that attended to our every need. The hotel also served an excellent buffet breakfast which included American and Middle Eastern food with omelette station as well.

The only thing that needs improvement is their shuttle service as they wait too long and leaves every 30 to 45 mins instead of 20 that their staff stated. .

We loved our stay at Courtyard Marriott. There's a shuttle bus that drop you at the Ajyad station, right opposite the Makarem hotel in Ajyad street. This is a fairly new hotel, so the towels were nice and fluffy.

We knew beforehand that the hotel was approx 2km away from the Haram, but to experience the chaos at the station when you return back to the hotel is not pleasant. You are crowded like sheep standing in front of closed gates, they screaming in the loud hailers in Arabic, that hardly anyone understands, and when they decide to open the gates, there's extreme pushing and shoving to get into the front buses. What a damper

Shuttle was a big problem i had to spend so much on travel. No other issues everything was fine.

No enough shuttle buses and it takes so much time to be available at the haram station and more time to get his way to the hotel

The check in was quick and smooth. The room was big and comfortable.

1- The housekeeping was very slow and tardy. When I asked them to clean the room, they told me after 2pm noon there is no cleaning. Had to call thrice and then go down myself on the reception and tell them to refill the tea bar, give clean towels and take out the trash. 2- The shuttle service needs to be upgraded. When going to Haram everything is smooth, but when you are coming back, a individual shuttle for Marriot isn't present. It's shared with 2 -3 other hotels and they have not mentioned this on front of the bus. You have to go to evey bus and ask them if this is for Marriot. Sometimes it took 30 mins to find shuttle. This is a huge disadvantage.
