Very happy with stay. Room was clean and fireplace was nice. Deer Haven is a little bit older but good, room had been upgraded, although you could see some areas of wear in the room. Frig in room worked great! Very comfortable, as we did spend some in the room relaxing. Staff was great! Most impressive was the neighborhood, very quiet and clean, no homeless in the area, we felt safe and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again, very happy overall. Also the beach is so close we spend quite a bit of time at the beach, supper cool.

To turn on the shower was weird for me, but we figured it out. Shampoo provided is in dispenser in shower, didn't come out well, should have brought my own, I forgot. But the conditioner dispenser worked great. Also the coffee maker makes 1 cup at a time, a coffee maker with a little pot would have been nice.

The grounds itself is so quaint and beautiful, especially with the potted colorful flowers throughout the property. I also liked that the room was a decent size and it had a microwave and refrigerator and FIREPLACE, as well as a small table with two chairs. I was also impressed the shower was not plastic - the walls of the shower seemed to be huge marble slabs, which was a very nice touch.

I found a couple random hairs on one side of my pillow, but not a big deal. I also prefer more natural light, but again not a big deal.

Thea was very friendly and welcoming at Reception. The location was very pretty with lovely garden views in the morning. There is no restaurant at the location, but Thea helped us with a Door Dash order to the room with recommendations too. The room was lovely and cosy with a fire, tv and tea/coffee making facilities and a table to be able to eat our dinner.

Nice room. Walkable to town, beach & family. Very clean. Loved the fireplace and convenience of having a refrigerator & microwave in the room. Staff friendly & helpful. Quiet, was able to sleep well.

Bed could be a bit more comfortable. Very firm mattress.

Close to Asilmar Beach. Comfortable room and beds. Very nice front desk staff and helpful with information. There was no breakfast and we recommend including breakfast

As stated above re absence of breakfast. Noisy fireplace fan and wall heater. Didn't want to use either because of noise, especially fireplace.

Location is very convenient for restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, walking.

Would have liked a second comfortable chair in the room as well as a stool in the sink area to use when putting on makeup at that counter.

Close to the beach and quiet.

Nothing really not to like… I did notice in the room I was in that the toilet seem very close to the wall and you had to come in and shut the door before you could use the toilet, or the door was in the way.. just a weird configuration in the bathroom but otherwise very nice.

Decent size mugs. Lovely location, very easy parking outside your room, friendly staff

Would like to have had glasses rather than plastic cups. Price for the weekend was quite expensive as opposed to the Monday night price.

The rooms are very clean, convenient, quiet, and have everything you need. We enjoy having the fireplace, microwave, and refrigerator. The bed was also very comfortable. And, what was very nice was that when we left for the afternoon, the room was sparkling clean upon our return! Very nice! Also, very pet friendly! Our little Corgi loves staying at the Deer Haven!!

The only thing that would make it better is a breakfast, but there are many nice places to eat nearby!

Big clean room and dressing/bath area. Jorge at the desk was especially helpful. Near the beach and free parking. We recommend it for quiet nights at reasonable rates.
