Very convenient location and hotel. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and surprisingly stylish. TV worked. Kettle worked. Shower worked. Even though it was small, you could fit everything in the storage space provided so you weren't cluttering your room up. Could order room service direct from pub downstairs (although basically no vegan options, so I couldn't). Check in & out was super easy. Overall, it was a very good place to stay and would stay again in future.

Bring something warm to wear in your room as the room was really cold. You didn't have control of the Aircon which I assume came through a vent, so there was no relief from the cold. Room window opened directly onto the hotel bins in the carpark so opening the windows to let some warmth in wasn't an option. Would have been nice for the room to have a microwave.

Pleased to have found pub accommodation of a high standard that was wheelchair accessible. Whilst not having all the accessibility features...eg grab rails and shower seat in the bathroom..there was at least plenty of room in the accommodation to navigate with a chair, and the bathroom would work for a mobile shower chair.

Whilst the room was ♿, unfortunately the pub was not ...except for the outdoor dining area street side and the smoking area at the side you'll need a travelling companion to make this work well. Wouldn't recommend it for high needs individuals but probably fine for ambulant chair users.

I wasn't sure what my expectations were given the rooms are above a pub but they were really nice and very comfortable. The pub closed at 9 or 10pm on a Thurs and Fri night so noise wasn't an issue at all. The staff were so lovely and great. The pub food was awesome too with lots of options, even for me as a vegan. Literal only tiny downfall was that the powerpoint in my room wasn't near the bed at all, but not all rooms were like this and a mini detail overall. Definitely recommend the imperial and would come back again!!

Very comfortable bed, newly refurbished room with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. The room had a queen bed, cupboard, coat hangers, air conditioning (ducted), ceiling fan, toaster, kettle, hot plates, basic crockery/cutlery, chilled water, coffee and tea, Byron bay cookies. The bathrooms are very clean, and there is a hair dryer. The pub restaurant has a very tasty and well priced menu. The food was delicious. Service from all staff was excellent and friendly. A great base for cycling the Norther Rivers Rail Trail. With a gelato shop out the front, it is also short walk to other cafes and restaurants as well as the Arts centre, designer clothes, homewares and vintage shops.

A small thing, but the water had to be left running for a time to let the hot run through. But this is due to the age of the building.

Perfect location and surprised at the loveliness of the room and bathroom. It also included a double hot plate and small fridge with complimentary water and snacks.

Unfortunately our room was over the main bar and on a Saturday night the singer could be heard and felt through the floor of the room. The ear plugs sadly were not effective. If staying on a Saturday night, request the rooms at the back of the hotel. Our room also only had a window in the bathroom, and my partner is a bit claustrophobic so found this aspect difficult. The singer did finish at 10.30pm, so that was a blessing.

Great location, right in the city centre of Murwillumbah. The room we got was very spacious and clean. The pub is right underneath, so easy to grab food if needed. It's also only about a 10mins walk to the old railway station/track if you're there to do the walk/bike riding.

The only downside is the soundproofing. The walls are quite thin, so we can literally hear the snoring from our next door. It wasn't too bad, more like a faint sound in the background. Didn't really affect us that much, but worth mentioning.

Well renovated- modern, clean facilities with traditional character retained. Friendly helpful staff. Earplugs provided in noisy rooms. Ask for a quieter room on booking recommended. Complimentary local bottled water and nice toiletries supplied on wall to minimise waste.

Need a sign saying in room.hot plates are not connected. A microwave in the space provided would be great. The provided toaster may be more likely to cause late night emergency evacuation alarms. Some rooms are ducted a/c and do not have air con control in room. If this is important, ask for a room with split system. Internal rooms may be quieter.if needed. Not sure if they have skylights.

The security was high. The fittings were excellent - the bathroom was very spacious. The manager was very helpful. Wifi was good. I would return.

A bedside light - it was a bit dull with the central light. Power plugs for charging phone and computer. Cooking vessels to use on the induction stove. A towel rail in the bathroom. But generally all very good despite above. Aware that the hotel had recently been renovated and it was ongoing.

Beautifully renovated pub style accomodation. Loved children eat for free at the restaurant and lucky door prize and happy hour at the bar.

I thought it was good value for money at Easter weekend and a nice place to stay even with my daughter. The only small thing I would say, is the person checking us in could have been a little friendlier, and water went across the floor in the bathroom, maybe a screen sectioning off the shower would be better.

Small room. No windows but had velux high up. Didnt open much for fresh air. 2 ring electric cooker but no pots or pans and no microwave and minimal plates glasses etc so that made cooking impossible. Overheated room impossible to control. Friday night was DJ night....very noisy in bedroom until midnight. Walls extremely thin....could hear neighbors on 2 sides. On 3rd side where bathroom was extremely noisy every time bathroom used.
