Lovely place. Traditional and modern in one. I was able to sleep and eat in the same place. My room was small, cozy, and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. Bar and restaurant were great. The food was delicious. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. It was an excellent choice.

Very small detail - the drawer of the bedside table would not stay closed. The music downstairs is audible, but it stops when the restaurant does.

At the New Boar you will be welcomed with a very good dinner in a beautiful restaurant, be invited to a drink in the fancy bar, send to a comfortable room with wonderfull linen and bedding and a very clean bathroom. In the morning you will find the most cosy place to enjoy your breakfast, just beside in an adorable deli. We are very much looking forward to our next stay. Big Extra: Park your car in front of the door! We also recommend Il Bacio, the perfect sicillian-italian restaurant nearby.

Very noisy with traffic most of the night. Room also smelt a bit damp and we noticed a stain on the bed sheet

Very spacious, very clean. It was brilliant having both a bath and shower, always nice having options available. The staff were friendly from our brief interaction with them, and handing the keys in when leaving was super easy with the post box by the main door.

Obviously being a pub, it was noisy until late. Luckily we weren't all that tired, and once the noise had stopped, we were out like a light switch due to how comfortable the bed was. Also, the small silver table in the room was broken (it wobbled a lot).

A chair in the room would of been great as we were only there one night and did not want to use the wardrobe. Luckily also we are able to climb stairs but I had not studied the layout therefore it was a surprise.

Stayed here to attend a wedding in Loughton. The room was very spacious and clean. Felt like we were staying in someone’s home it was very cozy. Staff was very helpful, offered to open the laundry machine for us as my dress had a small stain.

No AC so had to have the window open to air out the room. No breakfast option.

Room and bathroom were spacious and clean, large comfy bed - staff could not be more helpful and friendly - such a pleasurable stay! We dined at the restaurant too, which was lovely.

Room 2 is beautiful as maid, who was friendly and helpful was keen to show us and suggested we returned, we stayed in room 4 which was standard. A comfortable stay and very quiet!

It was a lovely venue in a quiet village.

The New Boar does not offer breakfast which is the only fault with the place. There is a cafe nearby but this doesn’t open until 8.30

The continental breakfast in room was not really a continental breakfast however there was a lovely little cafe next door which we were recommended and it was lovely for breakfast!
