The hotel lacks front desk or any personal from early evening (By call from street if key not available and wait for a night porter to come over 10-15 min) and likewise cleaning staff evaporates early afternoon to assist another property of same hotel firm so if they didn’t clean your room good luck in negotiating room change and/or compensation(Both given once guest presented firm demand). All that not to lower overall satisfaction from value and other elements mentioned above. Very good choice.

Great front desk staff and nice room, easily accessible to all attractions via several trams, close to the hotel. We particularly highlight our experience with Susy who greeted us and made us feel right at home. Thank you Susy!

It would be nice if there was an accessible microwave kept solely for the convenience of guests. At the moment it's a bit awkward to ask the front desk every time to heat one's food, which requires them to take the food and heat it in the microwave in the kitchen. Of course, in our case they made an exception since we had a lot of food to warm up. A small addition like a common microwave can go a long way!

I asked for a quiet room since I have a very light sleep. I was given a room street side. I was able to sleep without problems with earplugs. So I must say it was fine. It was hot and the fan was very useful for keeping the airflow since I kept the windows closed. It was a good quality/price. You are provided with a ticket for the public transport for the entire stay. So I would suggest first checking in and then visiting the city. I was unaware of this.

I would have preferred to have received the ticket via mail first so that I could have used it even before the check-in.

Acceptable breakfast with varied food, coffee and juices. The staff at the reception is very kind. Hotel located relatively close to the main attractions in the area. Safe area, even if red lights predominate on the street behind the hotel. A big plus for the free ticket for public transport that you get at registration. The tram station is located near the hotel. In my reserved suite (ground floor and first floor) we had a big bath with shower plus a jacuzzi tub. The building consists of a hotel and a restaurant where you can eat well. I recommend this hotel!

I liked it that they catered for a solo travellers.Then the couple I came with had their own room to.It was clean,great shower,Comfortable bed,brilliant location right near the tram station which is free to use around the city to.Id definitely stay there again, if I went back to Basel.

They supplied a kettle and cup/ saucer when I asked for one.Would be great to have it in the room anyway for guests.No other issue,great hotel!

Great location just a short tram ride from the station and all public transport in the city is free (either with booking confirmation, or then the Basel Card you get on check in, which is great!). We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very big and comfy. No air con but there were fans. Bathroom is dated but clean and functional.

Slightly outdated bathroom with too little lighting. Pillows weren't great, and it was quite hot (not really the hotels fault!). No tea making facilities (only coffee) in the room.

Perfect localization, just few minutes walk to the river and old part of the city. Also few steps to the tram stop, from where you will go everywhere :) Simple but good breakfast, everyday cleaning and changing the towels, very helpful staff. Totally recommended for fair price and good comfort.

The filling of the pillows was in pieces, so it can be not comfortable for someone who like to sleep on hard pillow (for me it was ok)

Very clean and comfortable. The location was okay. Breakfast was superb

I wanted twin beds and there was but they were right up against each other. We moved them apart slightly. But I was disappointed. Also on arrival, I was early and just wanted to leave my bags. I was greeted with an accusatory “you’re early, your rooms not ready!”rather than a friendly hello first. All other staff were lovely but I was not impressed with the first greeting and to be honest it impacted my stay in Basel.

This was a very clean, decent hotel and for a pretty good price by Swiss standards. The room was spotless and the bathroom seemed newly renovated with a powerful, warm shower. The location was a 15min walk from old town and around 25 from the sbb which was fine for me but there are trams nearby if you don't fancy it.

My room was on the side of the main road so it was a little noisy although the window does a pretty good job of blocking it out. I wore earplugs and slept really well.

The best location to be close to the Basel Fair Grounds (Messe). Accessible, friendly, very clean, all the essentials! A very coveneient place. also just a short metro ride from the train station

Everything was perfect but a Nespresso Machine instead of a generic one might be better. Howver, they let me get free cofee at the breakfast, so that was great!
