My husband experienced some bedbugs bites and that hurt me!!🥺🥺 It memory about the place not as pleasant! He got sick after.

The staff was friendly and helpful. All information provided and staff where easily accessible when we needed help. The rooms were clean and neat. Room service done and was happy. The spa was exclusive, highlight of the stay. Breakfast was limited but delicious, we really enjoyed - would appreciate if more juices variety could be added especially to accommodate people who doesn't like or drink orange juice.

The supper we had was not to our liking, it was not worth the price. We had to go to Royal Marang the next day for supper. The pools were not cleaned.

The environment/garden is serene! Lovely historic monuments teaching valuable history of RSA. The staff is very friendly starting from the gatekeeper to all levels. Everyone i interacted with was a breadth of fresh air.

The fact that there is no wifi in the rooms, coming from another country, needed to be online to chat with other family members at home. The showers in the rooms could do with some bit of scrubbing and cleaning.

It was a unique country hotel experience offering pleasant forrested surroundings teaming with small buck and excellent bird life. The numerous museum displays depicting early South African history are exceptional. The swimming pool and lawned gardens surrounded by indigenous trees were delightful.

There were one or two small maintenance issues in our room such as sticky doors and locks. The overhead fan only worked on maximum. The policy of no personal food and alcohol items was cumbersome for people such as ourselves who used this hotel as a staging point for full day visits into the Pilansberg with lunch time picnics included. It was uncomfortable signing the declaration on arrival that we had no alcohol with us and uncomfortable when we declared to reception staff that we did ! The restaurant service, although friendly, felt slightly disorganized. Breakfasts were not ready at 7 a m as advertised and the chicken pot pie was not available on both nights of our stay.

We loved everything about our stay. Thank you to Edward and all the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and professional. It is clear that the comfort of guests is important at Kedar Lodge. The room was spotless and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Our waiter/bartender was friendly and efficient. In the morning, we went on the museum tour with Edward. He is extremely knowledgeable, and we found the tour informative and enjoyed it very much. Lastly, the memorabilia on the Lodge property is any history lovers' dream and a very impressive collection. We will definitely return.

Everything was perfect

We booked the Deluxe Double Room, and the room was perfect. It's nice and big, with a full bathroom, TV, seating area and fridge. The rooms were built to retain privacy and were clean and neat. The thatch roof gives you the bush lodge atmosphere. The Amory Restaurant is beautiful, and you can spend hours looking at all the memorabilia. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and changed every day. It was the perfect start to the day. The staff is friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. The gardens are beautiful and lush green. There are lots of activities if that's what you want, or you can just be lazy at the pool all day. It was well worth it, and I would definitely revisit the lodge.

The pricing to go to the museum and game drive was a bit expensive

That was full breakfast. Fresh food, well baked scones and croissants, tasty plain yogurt. The serving area was taken care off with friendly and helpful staff members. The manager walked around to converse with the clients to find out if they are okay with everything there or if there are experiencing any issues regarding breakfast.

This is just some suggestions that we be provided with shower caps and the rugs next to the beds sites since the cladding stones on the floor are freezing cold.

The place is exactly 💯 as seen in pictures on Booking.com. The room was clean, very neat, actually, and beautiful, especially the Presidential Suite 😍 The Paul Kruger Museum was my highlight. Indeed, Kedar is a heritage lodge. Statues and Information from the entrance to the reception. The Sunset Game Drive was also amazing (The Tour Guy knows his story) big up!🤙The staff members were all friendly. I'd visit again and again if I could! Lovely Place 😍

Lovely breakfast and staff willing to assist with special dietary requirements. Within driving distance to Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. But also game on the farm was a lovely experience. Loved the museum touch. Would like to do the tour next time round.

Television channels limited and perhaps small touches in the shower and coffee and rusks etc but overall a lovely stay. When the opportunity arises, we will return.
