We were in town to run the Inaugural Revel Mt Diablo Half Marathon...and really had no idea where to stay. We did our research and came upon Diablo Mountain Inn and it got great reviews. We were a litte leary simply because of the location given it's proximity to the highway. I am a light sleeper and wanted to make sure I got adequate sleep before the half marathon. However, we were pleasantly surprised that the noise was not that bad with the door closed. They even offered ear plugs if I wanted them, but I travel with my own. The front desk staff (we met a few, but I only got Steven's name) were all very warm, welcoming, accommodating and pleasant. The location was very central to everything we were in town to do. Nice neighborhood with Broadway Plaza within walking distance (less than a mile). The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfy. The property was well maintained and clean as well. We will definitely stay here again!!

Old school motel that has been kept up well. Clean. Thoughtful details like a stack of older towels (clean!) That came with a sign indicating that they were for jobs such as cleaning your shoes. Apparently they've had some less than tidy guests in the past use their pristine white towels for some dirty jobs!

We were on the ground floor in the motel section that has two stories. Zero soundproofing from floors above. Pretty loud. They should issue soft slippers to second floor guests!

The location was super close to downtown Walnut Creek, easy to get to the location. The staff was nice, check-in was easy, the room was simple but very clean. They even offered the old towels for unnecessary usage which is eco-friendly and thoughtful ideas.

Unfortunately, the inn was right next to highway 680, the noise of the traffic was really bad. If you keep the AC/Heater on, the machine actually makes white noise to cover the sound of the traffic.

The staff was GREAT! Friendly, professional and helpful. The extra little things, such as the make-up remover pads and dark wash cloth, was really nice (I travel with my own black washcloth 😃). Also, the additional spill towels were awesome! We've never seen this before! So handy and useful!

Everything was as expected or better!

Nice, convenient, safe location. Thoughtfully furnished room with all the "little things" you wished rooms had. Nice, helpful manager. Clean well kept rooms. Walk-in closet. Good water pressure in shower. Nice refrig. and micro. Good sized, nice TV

That I haven't stayed here before :)

Great location. It felt safe and they were able to easily accommodate us with after hour check in. We traveled from out of the area to attend a concert at the concord pavilion and it was a quick drive from the venue. I would definitely recommend and will be staying again in the future.

We had a little hiccup with our reservation (one that was completely our fault). Chance bent over backwards to help us. And with a smile. And dressed for the holidays! She’s got the patience of a saint. The room was exactly as described. Really comfortable king bed in our room and everything was spotless. The Inn Is convenient to everything. I would hands down stay here again.

Nice rooms with additional beds, very nice helpful service, spacious walk-in wardrobe, and outside place for a cigarette. Near a nice place for breakfast and a few minutes away from a lot of restaurants

A little noisy from the highway

The staff at the front desk were wonderful and very accommodating. The room was comfortable and spacious enough to work while remodeling was happening at my home. Loved the "rag linens" that are supplied for dirtier jobs.

There was no breakfast. Location was important as we came to visit my daughter. Small fridge and microwave were available.

No breakfast. Hot water ran out during shower on 1 day.
