I can highly recommend staying at Kings Village Guest House in Sigiriya! The location is beautiful, next to a lake and rice fields. You can rent a bicycle and go in a 20-30 minutes ride to Lion Rock or Pindurangala Rock! It is definetly worth it, because you can drive on small streets through beautiful nature. Even if you chose the way via main street, it is easy to go by bike, because there is not much Traffic. It is very easy to navigate with Google Maps. The bungalow was very modern with huge windows and a nice terrace with view on the rice fields and peacocks. The bed was comfortable, the room had good air conditioning, towels, TV, a fridge and a water heater for making tea. My host was very friendly. She gave me a huge breakfast and cooked dinner for me. It was delicious, especially the rice coming from the fields in the neighborhood. The prices for dinner, renting a bike and the room itself were very fair! The only thing I regret is, that I did not stay longer. Thank you very much for the beautiful days in Sigiriya!

Couldn’t fault this accommodation one bit. It was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka so we didn’t know what to expect. The accommodation is a little tucked away, which is great as it’s away from the busy road- the accommodation is situated by a gorgeous fishing lake and within the forest. From the minute we arrived the lovely host was more than welcoming offering us fresh juice on arrival and offering dinner for the evening. The food (Dinner and Breakfast) were so tasty and there was so much of it. The hostess provided us with a TukTuk contact who was at our call whatever time of the day to take us anywhere showing us all the amazing local attractions each journey. The room itself was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed and a decent bathroom. We did have a few frogs and lizards in our bathroom that we had to remove, which was amusing, but you can’t expect anything less while staying in the middle of nowhere! 10/10 experience and a great start to our travels. I really enjoyed my stay at the property, especially due to its fantastic location near Sigiriya Lion Rock. The convenience of being so close to such a major attraction was definitely a highlight. The breakfast provided was also a pleasant surprise—it was delicious and a great start to the day. Additionally, the accommodation itself was clean, neat, and well-maintained, which made the overall experience feel comfortable and relaxing.

Only downside was the unreliable wifi during my stay.

This place is a gem, it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well situated. The room was large with a huge bed and good bathroom facilities. Our host was very friendly and helpful. She made us dinner when we arrived as it was late, and a nice breakfast was included in the price. We felt this was the nicest place we stayed at and was excellent value compared to other properties. It can be a bit difficult to find as it’s at the end of a nature skinny dirt back road that runs beside a little lake, and signage was minimal. But it’s with the effort. Highly recommend

The cabin was very clean, set in an idyllic environment, with a great breakfast and everything arranged for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Both the owner and her son make you feel at home, helping to organize activities, and the son also offers tuk-tuk rides, which makes the stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

Absolutely Perfect "Nestled like an oasis amidst the serene farmland, this haven was impeccably clean and safe. Our gracious hostess, Suneetha, delighted us with three exquisite breakfasts included in the price, and we savored three sensational dinners at a small extra cost. She meticulously organized all our excursions. Everything was just a delightful tuk-tuk ride away. Highly recommended!"

We loved the location, quiet and peaceful. The host was very kind, helpful and offered a warm welcome all the time. Its a wonderful spot and great value. Beautful rooms looking out over fields and near the lake. Short tuktuk ride to town is recommend. Host organised trips which were well priced and made our visit stress free. Excellent local breakfast with different juices and items everyday. We took dinner one night which was also excellent and good value. The best place we have been so far in Sri Lanka

Loved the secluded location. But still only a short tuk tuk ride from the main town centre (which the host can arrange for you). The accommodation is surrounded by a beautiful fishing lake and rice fields.The host family are so warm and friendly. The breakfast and meals were so generous and authentic. The best food I've eaten in sri lanka so far! The room was immaculately clean and well maintained. This has been a highlight of our trip so far!

There was nothing to dislike.

This place is perfect. It’s in a quiet place directly facing pure nature, but only 10-15 Minutes with Tuk Tuk away from everything in Sigiriya. We saw a lot of animals while sitting on the terrace. That was truly magical. The hosts were lovely. They arranged so many things for us. If we had any questions, we could just walk out the door to her and she found a solution that suited us. They are truly dedicated to this place. The breakfast was one of the best I had so far in Sri Lanka. Do don’t want to miss that. The Room was very clean and in perfect condition. We really enjoyed our stay there. Just a heads up, firstly you might want to bring some sort of mosquito protection to Sigiriya cause there are a lot and secondly tell the host that you want transportation a little in advance, cause it can take the driver up to 15-20 minutes to get there. We were sad we had to leave. Definitely recommend!

A clean and tidy room in a picturesque location with a large floor-to-ceiling window and an unforgettable view of the jungle. During the day you can see many peacocks, and at night you can watch the lights of fireflies. The owner of the hotel is very attentive and always ready to help in any situation, and she also cooks traditional dishes wonderfully.
