Since I write a lot of reviews, I concluded it would be easier if I just went with a standard template. To make reviews easier to read I will use a simple plus +/minus system and at the bottom I will add comments for things not included in the plus/minus. TLDR: + Good/- Bad, comments at the end What was Good: - Staff was great - Location was beautiful - Room was perfectly clean, spacious and tastefully decorated - Comfortable beds - Easy walk to many public transportation options - Only a few minutes via public transport to all the main attractions - Breakfast had good variety and was well stocked - Family room had two bathrooms Other Comments: We stayed in the Family Room/Junior Suite - Split Level which was two stories. The stairs are VERY steep so be warned if you have mobility issues, they would be a challenge.

- I lived in Europe for almost 12 years and have adjusted to the fact Europeans like scrambled eggs wetter than most Americans, but the scrambled eggs were like soup - Needs better lighting in the parking lot - Needs some kind of lines in the parking lot as jungle rules seemed to prevail - Surprisingly close to major road, we could hear cars from the second floor bedroom but did not find them intrusive. - Wi-Fi did not reach the second floor of our hotel room

Beautiful setting by the water front. Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely building. Great breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Room was quite tight as perhaps too much furniture. Hairdryer was difficult to use, as had to hold the on button continuously. Had to ask for extra pillows as too soft, but they supplied straight away. Room was very hot and couldn't find a way to reduce temperature other than opening the window. No unit to adjust temperature.

This is an excellent hotel for people wanting to 'get away from it all' while still in a beautiful Swedish city. It's charming, historic, cool and unique in a gorgeous lakeside setting of its own. The rooms and facilities are pretty with some tasteful vintage furnishings, and all very light and comfortable. The common areas are cozy, and the views out of the many windows are lovely. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, offering good quality hot and cold options - yes, we tried everything. But we must mention the fabulous dining -- it was outstanding. It was knock-your-socks-off quality and flavour. After our first dinner here we immediately re-booked for another dinner here our last night in Stockholm so that we could again experience the Swedish diced tenderloin, the meatballs, the duck liver terrine, and the caesar salad. A special mention to all the lovely staff throughout who made this a great experience. We will certainly return.

We loved everything.

The room was good with all the facilities I would expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a good selection on its menu and the food was excellent. The hotel was next to a lovely lake and park which allowed us to take some beautiful walks. There is allocated parking too.

There was a lot of road work nearby which meant the hotel looked like it was in the middle of a building site. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it still has a busy road next to it.

I am a returning customer as this is a charming hotel next to a lake. Service is impeccable. Restaurant offers very good food already for breakfast and I like the country house style atmosphere. This is my favourite hotel in Stockholm.

Really loved the breakfast at the hotel. Interior Design was also great for the price we paid. Loved the surroundings - in winter the lake freezes over and you can walk across it. Very easy to get to wherever in the city. Buses / metro to every island never more than 10 min walk away.

The hotel bar is biggest area of improvement. It was mostly un-manned, and we had to keep finding staff to order a drink. On a couple of occasions, our drinks never arrived as staff we ordered from were preoccupied with diners in the restaurant. If I had to be picky, it would be nice to have tea and coffee in the bedroom as had to keep asking front desk. Didn't impact our stay.

I must commend the hotel staff for their exceptional hospitality. Throughout my stay, they were consistently helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Their genuine care for guests truly enhanced the overall experience. The hotel's setting by the waterside is truly enchanting. Despite visiting during winter, the courtyard provided a tranquil retreat perfect for unwinding from the city. The split level room was great but probably not too convenient for people having difficulties climbing stairs. The breakfast restaurant has a great view and it is quite in the winter morning.

I noticed a burnt mark in the bathtub and some dust on the duvet. However, I was pleased with how the staff promptly addressed the issue. Their swift response and willingness to assist us in changing rooms quickly alleviated any concerns.

It’s situated against the most beautiful backdrop of a lake, which when we visited, was covered in snow. Really peaceful and a lovely place for a walk. The general ambience and vibe of the hotel was lovely, and felt very cosy and the staff were beyond helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous. Loads of choice, friendly staff, and a nice view.

We stayed in a standard room and found it to be extremely warm - suffocatingly so, with no means to turn the heat down. The room was quite small and faced the car park/highway, meaning opening a window to let cool air in, also mean hearing traffic/sirens. Thankfully the staff were super quick to help us fix it, and upgraded us to a ‘deluxe room’, which disclaimer, is the same as a standard room… but facing the gardens so it was much quieter and we could open a window. The hotel was probably a little too far out from the centre than we realised, which given it snowed, created an issue getting around. A hire car would help this. Also found the beds on the soft side, but that’s just our preference for firmer beds.

The hotel is a lovely renovated place with a beautiful park surrounding it. Staff was outstandingly friendly and super responsive to any questions or requests and the option to communicate via WhatsApp even before arrival was great. The rooms are very comfortable and public transport connections will take you quickly to the city center.

Not really a problem but rather a suggestion. In stead of providing a simple couch a sleeping couch for two in the room would be a great boon for families with kids. The breakfast buffet was super fresh and I understand that it was off season but a little variation would have been appreciated.

The location is wonderful with a big lake behind the property and it is close to transportation means so the city center is easy to reach. The hotel has a lot of caracther. The breakfast is ok for a few nights stay, although not very diverse.

Rooms are rather small, at least ours was. But it is not a major inconvenience when you spend the majority of time visiting the city.
