The hotel is in a very central location, an easy walk to the centre. Our double room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The TV was a good size for the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good variety of foods on offer. It was served in a bright and airy room with views looking out to the loch. All reception rooms are beautifully decorated with very comfortable chairs. The staff are friendly and smiling, and it's a real team effort looking after their guests. It's also very useful to have free parking available. We would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.
There was .nothing we disliked.

Our hotel was in a prime position for accessing Fort William and its amenities. Communication with the hotel before our visit was excellent with swift responses, from Vanessa, to all my emails. Our room was upgraded on our arrival which made our stay extra special. The room was comfortable, spacious with an excellent view onto the loch. The staff were friendly and helpful with a happy demeanor especially Rose Ann who served us in the restaurant. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and the menu choice for evening meals could not be faulted. Altogether a lovely stay at this hotel.
I think for a 3 star hotel it provided all that was needed. If there was one negative, it would be that the room was not made up or towels changed but for a 2night stay it was not a big issue.

I recently stayed here while travelling with my mom, and we were both thoroughly impressed. Our rating is based on location, cleanliness, feeling of safety, breakfast (gets the day started off right), parking, ease of access, amenities, and the helpfulness of the staff — and this place truly checked every box. It’s rare to find a spot that delivers on all fronts, but this one did. I would absolutely come back without hesitation. A special mention to our host, Vanessa. Her authenticity and amiability shine through. Making everyone feel comfortable isn’t just something she does — it’s clearly a calling, and she delivers on it beautifully.

This hotel is a mixture of old meets new regarding the decor. The entrance at reception, breakfast room, dining room, were exceptional with their decor. The staff were so friendly from I think the lady was called Vanessa on reception who checked us in was chatty and funny, a great welcome. But the lady who was like little miss dynamite was Rose Ann, she greeted us at the restaurant for our evening meal, a really chatty funny lass. She worked with her husband there and again what a great guy a great team. I’ve never seen a woman smile so much all night and then in the morning for breakfast she was there again. Brilliant.
Our bedroom room 42 was a mixture of old meets new regarding decor. Didn’t have a view but hey ho. Beds comfy etc but our bathroom needed tweaking from having a bath with no grab handles, no bath mat (Bath was slippy) the seal on the bottom of the shower screen let water drip quite a lot onto the side of the bath panel onto the floor creating quite a puddle (only saying this because eventually that will cause problems later with the floor below)! Forgot to say you got all the usual toiletries and water in your room.

Arrived at hotel and check in was very smooth. The room we were allocated was a good size and had a loch view. The tea/coffee/water and biscuits were all well supplied. The bathroom is a good size and sufficient complimentary toiletries. Although we didn't have evening meal we did frequent the bar and the service was excellent. Rose Ann and her colleague were so helpful and we had some good banter. My overall opinion is that the hotel is well situated, the room and the decor are lovely. The breakfast was very good and well organised. The food was hot and well stocked. The staff customer service is first class. My only point to improve the room was to have a fridge. Would recommend
Fridge would be beneficial, and bathrobes.

Great location Expensive would have expected breakfast for the price Free parking Staff very attentive Huge room Comfy beds Shower fantastic Good selection of snacks Bottled water a lovely touch Pool table a great addition
WiFi a bit sporadic Some areas in need of a bit of tlc but to be fair decorating was on going while we were there so fair play No breakfast (extra) - for price would have expected it to be included Bar not open to residents till 5.30 was a bit of a downer forcing us out when we would have been happy to spend an hour playing pool and having a drink Not made clear to what in the room was included ie water and crisps etc

The staff at reception were very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a large comfortable bed and a lovely view of Loch Linnhe. Breakfast was good and the staff there, Rose Anne and Jan were warm, friendly and efficient, dealing with requests without a problem. We also ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening and again the food was good, obviously an experienced chef, as was the service. It is an easy walk from the hotel into the centre as it lies at one end of the main street.
We would have liked drinkable water from the tap though we were given plenty bottled water.

All the staff and team was very nice, helpful and they really wanted to make our stay as perfect as it could be. Especially Rose Ann and Jhan and also another lady at the reception when we arrived. She advised some places to visit around the hotel. They were always positive and helpful.
Restaurant : On the evening we arrived, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. The food was really not good. I took the vegetarian noodles (today's special). The vegetables (brocolis) were burnt and it was all drowned in soya sauce. I ate 3 forks in my plate and I was obliged to send it back. Jhan (though not the cook and not responsible for it) apologized and took it off the bill so I did not pay for it which was highly appreciated. The other dishes my family took were flavorless. Only the cocktails were good. Honestly, it's the second time in my whole life I can't eat a dish in a restaurant, I'm not difficult and I usually eat even if it's not extaordinary but it was really impossible. Rooms noise : We hear a little too much what is going on in the rooms around.

Smooth check in process Lovely colourful decor in reception area. Loved the turquoise chairs. Room.was what I paid for ie double room with loch view at the side of the hotel. Again lovely decor; very clean and contemporary. All I needed including tea, coffee and bottled water. Complimentary chocolates a nice touch. Thank you! Also complimentary toiletries. Clean white towels. Pristine. Great shower - good water pressure and nice and hot. Some wear and tear on the bath but also clean and I have no issue with that as reducing waste and re-using - better for the environment. Comfortable sleep. Hotel quiet from 10pm. I chose to have breakfast in the lovely dining room. Great selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, toast, fruit, cereals, juices, teas and coffees. Hot food too. My poached egg was perfectly cooked. Thank you. Exceptional service from Rose Ann - friendly, professional, efficient, helpful, very customer focused. And smiley too!! ☺️ All in all a great stay. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thanks to all.

The staff were exceptional, extremely polite and keen to ensure our stay was very comfortable. Rose Ann in particular took the time to remember our names and room number even though we were only there one night as part of our walking trip along the Great glen way. Would recommend to anyone as a comfortable clean and friendly place to base or stop over from. It's fab to see older hotels having some money spent on decor and an effort made to make the entrance areas and rooms look different from most of all the other generic hotel foyers.
All the network rail vans taking up the entire car park and making it difficult to park as they had used two and sometimes three spaces.
