This hotel is so cool! The design is eclectic & vibrant and instantly brings the fun. Central location without being on top of everything. The standard rooms have quite an unusual design (bathroom and shower room have two separate doors but there isn’t a separate bathroom space per say)… but it actually proved to be a very comfortable stay — the beds are super comfy & loved the LED touch mirrors It is definitely a party hotel, so I was very glad when after asking for a quiet room we were given one

I was really surprised the hotel didn’t inform us about the Tales of Cocktail Week which essentially took over the whole hotel with events from Patron etc. We couldn’t properly access the pool because there were huge parties. Lucky were a young couple and not my parents eg as that could have been a nightmare

Very stylish, well situated about a ten minute walk from the French quarter. Loved walking across Canal Street and diving into the historic area of New Orleans. Rooftop bar is a lovely oasis and place to have cocktails and watch the sun go down. Parking was expensive at $55/night plus tax, but in line with what you’d expect in NOLA. Staff were very helpful took good care of the car and made the experience stress free.

One negative was the view, or the lack of one. Our room looked out on a brick wall and had no natural light, as others have commented.

The decor when you walk into the hotel is very nice and we were welcomed right away by multiple staff. It is a nice security feature to need to use your room key to access the floor you are staying on. The room was very nice. We liked having the dressing area/bathroom separate from the room. The beds were comfortable. The mini bar is nicely stocked and somewhat pricey (but to be expected). The room was cleaned daily and great! We definitely will be back.

The only concern we experienced was when an outside event was held in the pool area. The individuals were engaging in some concerning behaviors and we were not comfortable at the pool area. The pool then needed to be closed the next day to be cleaned, which I am grateful for based on the behavior we observed. The hotel also allows non hotel guests to purchase day passes to the pool. The pool area is smaller and allegedly hotel guests are to have preferred seating. However it was difficult to find a place to sit and many of the individuals around the pool had day passes wrist bands. We as hotel guests were not assisted with locating an area around the pool.

Spacious room, comfy beds, and a really great layout for a standard room that allows for separation between the sleeping chamber and the bathroom/vanity area. Great amenities from a cute little coffee spot in the lobby with plenty of espresso drinks to choose from to the amazing rooftop pool that was quiet during the week despite a full calendar of fun events for Mardi Gras. The front desk was great about checking in with us about when we were arriving, the baristas were kind and engaging, and the doormen were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We also loved the location — close enough to everything but far enough away that our evenings were peaceful. We loved how pet friendly the hotel is, and the rooms are perfect for traveling with a pet thanks to the doors separating the sleeping chamber from the front of the room. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was excellent especially Sunday Brunch with the Jazz band. The staff are friendly and helpful.

we booked a room for a staycation and to enjoy the pool but the pool was crowded and small given the number of people looking to use it. We had to squeeze onto one the first day and the second there were no chairs for us at all. Not sure if everyone on the loungers was actually a hotel guest… didn’t seem so based on how people showed up in their daily clothes. What’s more, they even had a wedding on the other half of the roof deck while shirtless british bros on a bachelor party tossed “hilarious” jokes at the bride from beach loungers. in short, it was a scene worthy of Fear and Loathing (so we did enjoy it) but were disappointed not to have a guaranteed lounger as a guest.

This was first exposure to the Virgin Hotels chain and I was blown away! Wow! The property is absolutely stunning, my room was gorgeous and the staff were incredible. I only wish I'd stayed longer and had been able to take advantage of all the hotel offers. It's so conveniently located to all of my favorite New Orleans spots that I walked everywhere while I was there!

Virgin Hotel New Orleans It's a nice lively vibe, very instagramable, different from what I have seen so far! Not my usual French Quarter 100 yo building style. I love NOLA but as a travel agent had to try it out! The rooms/hallways are so nicely and tastefully decorated, quirky posh, bathrobesare provided!. The pool, OMG, the pool is its small but just enough to have the most liveliest time with the others in it! We HAD A BALL! it was so live all the time. The hotel restaurants were extremely tasty and reasonably priced... I want to give a huge s/o to Timothy the door/ bellman, I have traveled all over the world and never received such genuine hospitality and eagerness to help with everything, All Smiles everytime you see him! And the day we arrive was his 2nd day. You would have thought he had been a Virgin mascot, lol. Keep him around please! Another big s/o to Boo in the Funny cafe. He is such a gentle giant, so polite and smiling each morning! You guys have a top notch staff! I just have to say Virgin you did a great job with the vision of this location! Only 10min walk to Bourbon st and 25 to Frenchman street. Street cars really close by if you don't want to walk. Ok, I can go on and on about The Virgin Hotels New Orleans. I loved my stay and will return soon!

Nothing. Everything was great!

The hotel has an amazing eclectic vibe. Everything-the lobby and room decor, the details, the pleasant ambiance and scent as soon as you enter it, exceeded my expectations . Our room was very quiet although we were there during Marci Gras. It’s very clean and the staff was very friendly. The rain shower was one of my favorite room features. It’s a short walk to everything, including the street car. Lots of great restaurants surrounding it. Willa Jean is just around the corner and an amazing pizza place on the other side of the block. The bar serves a “killer” Cajun Bloody Mary.

We had zero problems. Only great experiences.

The late night staff did not assist or take an interest in helping me locate an uber order that was suppose to have been dropped off At the front desk. Front desk person had no interest in discussing my frustration to look for my food delivery. Also, a stained pink/red pillowcase was on my pillow. I left the pillow w pillowcase outside front door. Would have been nice if a note was made to deliver another pillow with a clean pillowcase.
