Travel Agent Review (Out Of My Bubble Adventure’s)– Fairfield by Marriott (Downtown New Orleans) I stayed at Fairfield Marriott Downtown New Orleans for my wife’s birthday weekend. I requested a corner room with a beautiful view in advance, but we were placed in a handicap-accessible room instead. While it wasn’t what I originally hoped for, the room was still spacious enough for me to comfortably handle my content work. The view was a bit disappointing felt a little closed in but honestly, we weren’t in the room enough to worry about it. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Breakfast was also a nice touch fresh, convenient, and appreciated. Fairfield delivers on convenience, comfort, and service. Just be sure to follow up on any room requests if you’re staying for a special occasion.

Other travelers rated the breakfast as good and I agree. Hot breakfast items change everyday. This is a good location if you like a quiet location at night. You are only a 15 minute walk away from canal street. Housekeeping is efficient.

The elevator shakes while it is used. The fitness room only has cardio equipment and dumbbells. There are no weight machines so could be an issue if you like to lift. The bathroom light turns off automatically. I like to determine when the light should be turned off.

The staff was very friendly. The location is great

I tried the breakfast once and never came to eat there. It was not what I expected. That one time I was there, the coffee was taken away while people were finishing their breakfast. At least someone can let me know that the coffee will be taken away in X minutes so that they can refill or whatever they want to do

They had very raggedy bag carts we didn’t receive any help from the staff with our luggage the carts were very difficult to move the wheels were weak and they felt like they were gonna fall apart very tacky. The staff basically agreed that the carts were not up to standard but did not lift one finger to help us either.

Good breakfast selection and coffee bar. Good location to French quarter attractions. We were able to walk to many locations. Room was clean and in order.

We notified the front desk that the coffee bar was out of cups. Front desk person rolled her eyes and said "that's the third time I have to restock it". We thought that was unnecessary.

The hotel was very nice and reasonably priced for downtown New Orleans. I always felt safe. Breakfast was well-stocked and on time. Better than most free hotel breakfasts. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. I really have no complaints about this hotel; and would stay there again. Within walking distance to (1-2 miles....) to convention center and the French Quarter.

Parking as usual is expensive in cities. There was plenty of convenient covered and open parking within one block. That added about $30/day to the expense. It would have been nice to have some hotel-subsidized parking option available. They do offer Valet parking, but this was over $40/day and no better than self-parking IMO.

I was actually impressed with the breakfast which is not the case in most of my hotel experiences. The location was ideal being that it was my first visit in New Orleans.

Although it was expected at the location, I am not a fan of valet parking when overnight staying. I prefer to have access to my vehicle but that is not say the service was not a good experience.

My stay at the Fairfield Inn was wonderful. The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. The breaktfast is very good. The hotel is in a safe place and close to many bus lines and walking distance to Bourbon street.

It was clean, there was an ice room on my floor (and I think every floor), breakfast every day and there was a good selection of cold food, hot food, cereal and juice, they have a wheelchair ramp, big TV and room, very spacious, had a coffee maker and safe, also had a big shower.

Hopefully in the future the hot food is more than just eggs. Lift was a bit bumpy but it was fast and in good condition

Wonderful customer service, room cleaned daily, close walking distance to French Quarter and Street Cars.

The gym is missing all weights from 10-20 lbs...They had a set of 5 lb weights and the next set was 25lbs, so, 35, 40.
