Great location in the Central Business District. Historic boutique hotel, tastefully furnished, great value. Bed was super comfy, Coffee & tea in the room, we had a little balcony. Staff was friendly and nice.

I didn't love that you couldn't take the stairs, and always had to take the elevator. There wasn't a bed cover, it was just a flat sheet, covered with a blanket and another flat sheet on top. Not a big deal, it just would have been prettier with some sort of coverlet.

The staff was okay. I encountered two female staff when I checked in and midday they couldn’t be bothered. The gem that you have hired was Joe. He was helpful expressed joy about the facility. He work with gave us some viewing tips of the area. Welcome us to come back. Ask us if there was anything that he could do to help us or the company could do. He help to put our bags in our car. He truly gave 5 star service.

When I arrived the young lady at post was entertaining her male gentleman while I waited to ask a questions about how to access my room. I didn’t like that the information on the website and the information at the site are different but overall, I will still come again I do believe the female staff needs to work on the customer service skills. I asked about how to turn the heat on in my room and the female staff did not know or could not assist in anyway I asked if she could bring me a blanket and she told me that they only had sheets, but she was nice enough to bring me two sheets.

Downtown, convenient to everything

One of our rooms had a broken toilet that had to be repaired and the other had a door that the lock was broken. I had to stand in the hall for 20 minutes while someone got me into my room. Then, I couldn’t leave (because I wouldn’t have been able to get back in) until somebody could get there to repair it. That was another hour. It broke again, causing another 20 minute delay. I would not have been so upset, but they did not give us a discount off either room after all our inconveniences.

We liked the character of a 100+ year old property. The room was clean even if somewhat dated. Our location was convenient to Superdome, and a cute gift bag was in the room with merchandise for the concert we were attending. A sound machine was in the room for loud nights, but we did not need it.

Water pressure was good, but a newer shower head was needed. Hotel is not full service with daily housekeeping, but housekeeper did service our room, so this was confusing. I packed extra towels, because of this when they were not needed. Parking is not provided, and I found it stressful not knowing where to park.

Jason, who worked at the front was awesome and so helpful, he is the reason I am writing this review. He helped us with luggage storage before and after our stay and helped us with an earlier check-in when we hadn’t gotten any sleep due to early morning travel. Overall, just a really nice guy and made our stay much more enjoyable. The room was nice, exactly what we needed- a comfortable place to sleep. And walkable to everything- the French quarter, Caesar’s Superdome, etc.

We paid wayyy too much for this room since it was on Taylor Swift weekend, but to be expected I guess, all the hotels were overpriced. There aren’t really any amenities, which we knew, but in case you overlook that in the listing.

The front desk staff Kevin, Shaq, and Nathan were very helpful/informative, and friendly from the moment we checked in until we left! The size of the Queen room and bathroom was a huge bonus! The room A/C did not disappoint! The hotel is centrally located to the Convention Center, Canal St, and Bourbon. As well as there are many restaurants nearby--within walking distance. The streetcar boards right in front of the hotel and from there the train is accessible.

There was an iron but no ironing board...so I had to improvise by using the extra nightstand!

Extremely well restored and beautiful older building, in a very tasteful style, with large rooms, and fairly quiet on our upper floor. The location was very good, away from the madness of Canal Street, yet convenient via the St. Charles streetcar outside the hotel, or taxi. It was on the edge of the Arts District (very good galleries) and the WWII museum which is close enough to walk to. And there were several excellent restaurants within a block or two.

It would have been nice to have breakfast options inside or next to the hotel instead of just an expensive dinner only restaurant. Even morning coffee in the lobby would have been a nice simple touch. There was only a tiny coffee maker with a bad grade of coffee in the rooms (bring your own), and no tea. Fortunately there were several good coffee shops 2 blocks away, my fave being French Truck for the best au laits and pastry I had in town. It would also be nice to have an exercise room with a few bikes and treadmills.

We had a king suite that was very nice. We booked through booking .com which gave mi's information before getting to the hotel. Led us to belive that we weren't getting a private room and bathroom and that it wasn't air-conditioned, if we didn't upgrade our room to a different one. Which once we got to the hotel we were informed all rooms have air conditioning and private restrooms.

I prepaid a year in advance for our room, but just recently got an additional 37 dollars charged to my card after we left the hotel. Unsure what that charge was for.

Almost everything. Very nice room, comfortable bed, great water pressure, plenty of hot water. View from windows. Classy decor throughout. No problems with HVAC control. Did not use TV. Good pillows, Great towels!

Bath tub drains poorly, slow. Heat fan makes considerable noise. On-site steak house quite pricey. Could use second bedside lamp. Did not like flavor of in-room coffee. Robe would be nice. Could use a second suitcase stand.

I loved everything about our stay. The hotel is beautiful and historic. The location was perfect. It's located at the trolley line and that was very convenient. It isn't in the middle of all the crowds so it wasn't loud at all, but close enough to Canal St that a quick ride on the trolley or a short walk made it the perfect location. The room's were beautiful and comfortable. We had a balcony and that was a plus. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Kevin, the door man, is a gem! He is the best thing this hotel can ask for.
