Front desk staff incredible! Young man at the restaurant valet very friendly and assisted with luggage cart and the door! Very impressed. The historic property is an old renovated veteran's hospital from the mid 1700s (beautiful).

No hotel guest valet parking. Being a historical property, there is no nearby parking lot or garage available. You need to unload your luggage at the curb on the busy street. Their parking option is several streets over. There is a closer parking lot just down St. Charles Ave on the right. The overnight parking rate offered for 24 hrs is $58 to $68. Hotel parking around $47. Worried about car break-in. HAD NO ISSUES!

Nice room in a classic hotel near the French Quarter, with a modern twist thanks to Kasa Living! Tall windows with nice blackout curtains, comfy bed, nice desk. good water pressure in the shower, etc. Easy online check-in/out with good instructions and support from Kasa. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to be near the action but not right in the thick (and noise) of it!

The place could use a little upkeep: there were some chips on the walls/baseboards, the hallway rugs were a bit dirty, and there was a loose covering on one of the knobs in my shower. There was also no overhead light in my room, so it got a bit dark with the curtains drawn. Lastly, while there was staff on-site (mostly to help with bag storage, etc. I think), they barely even acknowledged me -- while I didn't need their help, a "hello" or two would have been nice!

It was in a great location - close enough to walk into town but far enough from the crazy busyness. Grocery store near by which was great for our budget travels.

The original room we had was across from a car park that beeped with an alarm every time a car entered or exited. It started quite early in the morning and again in the afternoon presumable with people arriving and leaving for work. But the staff were great and helped us get moved to a quieter room which made the rest of our stay much better.

Great location in the Central Business District. Historic boutique hotel, tastefully furnished, great value. Bed was super comfy, Coffee & tea in the room, we had a little balcony. Staff was friendly and nice.

I didn't love that you couldn't take the stairs, and always had to take the elevator. There wasn't a bed cover, it was just a flat sheet, covered with a blanket and another flat sheet on top. Not a big deal, it just would have been prettier with some sort of coverlet.

Great location. As other reviews noted, it's in the city center and close to most things, but far enough to be quiet and relaxing. Friendly, helpful staff. The virtual check-in was new to me, but they had friendly staff to help. Great for the price. A very nice hotel at a much lower price than comparable hotels in the area. I would stay here again!

Had to pay for parking, which drove up their otherwise low price. But, the parking was slightly cheaper than comparable places, and the price was still slightly lower.

The staff was okay. I encountered two female staff when I checked in and midday they couldn’t be bothered. The gem that you have hired was Joe. He was helpful expressed joy about the facility. He work with gave us some viewing tips of the area. Welcome us to come back. Ask us if there was anything that he could do to help us or the company could do. He help to put our bags in our car. He truly gave 5 star service.

When I arrived the young lady at post was entertaining her male gentleman while I waited to ask a questions about how to access my room. I didn’t like that the information on the website and the information at the site are different but overall, I will still come again I do believe the female staff needs to work on the customer service skills. I asked about how to turn the heat on in my room and the female staff did not know or could not assist in anyway I asked if she could bring me a blanket and she told me that they only had sheets, but she was nice enough to bring me two sheets.

We liked the character of a 100+ year old property. The room was clean even if somewhat dated. Our location was convenient to Superdome, and a cute gift bag was in the room with merchandise for the concert we were attending. A sound machine was in the room for loud nights, but we did not need it.

Water pressure was good, but a newer shower head was needed. Hotel is not full service with daily housekeeping, but housekeeper did service our room, so this was confusing. I packed extra towels, because of this when they were not needed. Parking is not provided, and I found it stressful not knowing where to park.

Downtown, convenient to everything

One of our rooms had a broken toilet that had to be repaired and the other had a door that the lock was broken. I had to stand in the hall for 20 minutes while someone got me into my room. Then, I couldn’t leave (because I wouldn’t have been able to get back in) until somebody could get there to repair it. That was another hour. It broke again, causing another 20 minute delay. I would not have been so upset, but they did not give us a discount off either room after all our inconveniences.

Jason, who worked at the front was awesome and so helpful, he is the reason I am writing this review. He helped us with luggage storage before and after our stay and helped us with an earlier check-in when we hadn’t gotten any sleep due to early morning travel. Overall, just a really nice guy and made our stay much more enjoyable. The room was nice, exactly what we needed- a comfortable place to sleep. And walkable to everything- the French quarter, Caesar’s Superdome, etc.

We paid wayyy too much for this room since it was on Taylor Swift weekend, but to be expected I guess, all the hotels were overpriced. There aren’t really any amenities, which we knew, but in case you overlook that in the listing.

The front desk staff Kevin, Shaq, and Nathan were very helpful/informative, and friendly from the moment we checked in until we left! The size of the Queen room and bathroom was a huge bonus! The room A/C did not disappoint! The hotel is centrally located to the Convention Center, Canal St, and Bourbon. As well as there are many restaurants nearby--within walking distance. The streetcar boards right in front of the hotel and from there the train is accessible.

There was an iron but no ironing board...so I had to improvise by using the extra nightstand!
