The staff is lovely and very helpful. The hotel is in a convenient and quiet location, with a free hotel shuttle or public buses to Sorrento. There is a little shop across the road. The room and bathroom were spotless, with daily cleaning and frequent towel and bedsheet changes. The Wi-Fi is reliable, and the rooms are equipped a fridge and a safe. The pool is great and the hotel's garden is beautifully maintained. There is a nice selection of sweet pastries for breakfast. You can enjoy your meal on the terrace with a sea view.

The towels have seen better days but were always clean and fresh. It would be convenient to have a kettle in the room. There's a great selection of sweet pastries for breakfast, but it would benefit from having some vegetables and more variety of savoury options (cheese, meat) to accommodate the non-Italian breakfast preferences.

Breakfast was adequate, staff at front desk very helpful with providing info (e.g. transport). Pool very refreshing, nice courtyard area. Lovely location, just outside the main city centre but quick cheap bus ride into town (bus stop right on the doorstep) or 20 minute walk into town centre. Hidden gem 10 minute walk across the road (swim spot). Handy mini market across the road and ATM.

Maybe a longer opening time for the pool, as it was only open 10am-6pm but apart from this we had a great stay!

We were very happy with our stay! The room was spacious, with two windows and a stunning view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The bathroom was large with a shower, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was always clean, and the room was serviced daily. Special thanks to the staff — everyone was friendly and welcoming. For the price, the hotel fully met our expectations and even exceeded them. Breakfasts were simple but sufficient: three types of eggs, cheese, cold cuts, croissants, pastries, coffee, apples, and preserved fruits. The choice of fresh fruit was limited, but there was more than enough to eat. The location is convenient: about a 10-minute walk to the beautiful swimming spot Bagni della Regina Giovanna. A bus to the town center and the port runs every 20 minutes. Tickets cost €1.5 at the shop across the street or €2 on board. The hotel also offers excursions to Capri, Positano, and Amalfi — highly recommended, these are unforgettable experiences! Overall, everything was excellent, the stay exceeded our expectations. We would gladly recommend this hotel!

A couple of suggestions: it would be nice to have at least a couple of glasses for water in the room.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a friendly receptionist, who also kindly helped us understand how to use the local public transport. All the staff were consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was cozy and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Air conditioning worked well, keeping the room nice and cool day and night. One evening we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the pasta carbonara was absolutely delicious. The restaurant also offered stunning sea views from the terrace, and we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset during our meal. The pool area was very pleasant, and the hotel garden was beautiful. Breakfast was good, with options like yogurt, muesli, cereal, omelets, breads (with tomato, cucumber, ham, and cheese), pastries, juice, and coffee etc. We were very satisfied with the breakfast. Next to the hotel, there’s a small grocery store and even a 24-hour self-service kiosk where you can grab snacks or drinks at your convenience. The hotel is close to the beautiful Bagni Regina Giovanna, and while we walked to the city center once, we would recommend taking the bus instead. The bus stops right in front of the hotel, and a single ticket costs only €2 (or even cheaper if bought from the nearby market). We could definitely imagine staying at Villa Igea again in the future and we will gladly recommend this hotel to our friends.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is far enough from the center of Sorrento to hear the noise of the evening life but still within walking distance. There is a parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel which is paid but at least parking is provided. The staff is kind and helpful. The hotel's furnishings are a bit old-fashioned but clean. Rooms are well equipped and in the evenings if you want, you can sit out on the terrace. For those who don't want to walk to the beach there is a pool in the yard. Clean, pleasant water temperature. The pool bar could be a little bit more modern but it works.

The shower cabin is quite small. Pool bar could have wider selection of drinks. And they could have wider selection of breakfast as well.

Breakfast service from Francisco and Luigi was excellent. The food choices were plenty but are the same items every day we stayed. Dinner selection was very good. Patio and pool were an added benefit. This hotel is on the main road with a local bus stop 15 steps from the hotel door. There was a road right outside the Minimart that went down to the archeological site beach area.

Our room was located on level 1, facing the road — was challenging for a good nights rest as a result of the heavy traffic outside —- buses, cars, motorcycles, Vespas and people.

The location is amazing, I strongly advise visiting Bagni Ragina Giovanna. The view is beautiful from there and you can swim when the tide is right. The cleaning and housekeeping is excellent. Fresh towels were available daily. There's a taxi to Sorrento center available on specific times each day. It doesn't go until later at night but the normal bus works fine then instead. The swimming pool is a nice addition for a quick swim when the sea is a bit rough because of the tide. The hotel helps out with requests and offers suggestions. The hotel WiFi really helps out because the phone WiFi in the region is very spotty.

Busses passing the hotel are unreliable, unrelated to the hotel but affecting your stay. The hotel taxi doesn't take you if you bring a suitcase. At first one of the two person beds was on wheels making them split apart, the hotel fixed this the next day in a sufficient way. One night the manager was asleep with 4 people trying to enter the hotel waiting outside, the bell didn't work, knocking on the door helped wake him after some time. There's no way to open the main door with your card.

My stay at this hotel in Sorrento - Hotel Villa Igea was absolutely wonderful. The location is ideal, making it easy to explore the city and access transportation. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a cozy bed and a consistently clean and well-organized environment. The reception staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, always willing to assist with directions and local tips. On top of that, the price was very fair considering the quality of service provided. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Sorrento

Although slightly dated, the hotel is very clean; nice pool area - but be warned on buying snacks we paid €27 for three cans of Fanta and a Cornetto! Handy free shuttle bus which runs into Sorrento town at various points during the day. Also right next to public bus stop with buses every 20 minutes. Good breakfast selection.

Main reception staff were pretty unwelcoming - the visitors in front of us were given leaflets and details and then presuming we had been listening we just had our passports checked in silence and the key to the room left on the counter. And when we checked out no ‘thank you’, ‘Hope you enjoyed your stay’. Just took the key in silence and went back into the office…

The hotel was well located on the bus route. Breakfast was good and the pastries were absolutely delicious. Free shuttles from the hotel to and from the city centre on a separate schedule. We were also able to book day trips e.g to Amalfi and Capri conveniently from reception. The room was clean and cleaned daily. The balcony with a stunning view of the Gulf of Naples was a particularly exhilarating experience. Pool area was really comfortable and clean. All in all a successful experience that exceeded expectations.
