The 1bdrm apt is comfortable, modern, good TV with Roku-streaming, has all necessary appliances, is well appointed for short stays.

We arrive on Thanksgiving night, we would have expected 2 bottles of water since we could not buy anywhere. Also, 4 teabags (2 of them camomille) for 2 people staying 2 nights seemed a little scarce. As soon as we checked-in we got a text message welcoming us, and asking us if we need anything. I immediately answered “a couple of water bottles, if possible”. Obviously, no bottles arrived, but also no follow-up messages. My advice: do not ask guests if they need anything, if you do not plan to accommodate their request.

It was very clean.

It is not a short walking distance to downtown like described. Walk 30 mins one way to the museum or take an Uber. Also, the unit is described as a one bedroom, but it is actually a studio with a curtin that divides the bed space from the living space.

The location was great, the apartment was really nice & up to date

We didn’t get the exact apartment we paid for, Sonder changed our room via email confirmation the day of for some unknown reason & told us it was no way to exchange apartments because they were all sold out. The wifi would jump in & out. The apartment didn't come with a Bluetooth speaker. All the pictures we saw online the apartment had 1 so we didn’t pack 1

The apartment was beautiful. Decoration was extremely attention to detail. We didn’t cook but it has very basic stuff you need for cooking. The view from the apartment was very pretty. I appreciated the white noise machine. Bed was comfortable, shower was perfect. It even has washer and dryer inside the apartment. Also, the small gym is good and has a nice view. There are also vending machines in the lobby with good products. The surrounding area does not seem safe for walking but everything in the city is a short uber drive away. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Philly!

Nothing negative about the property. Just felt safer taking an uber than walking around the neighborhood.

Lovely building and a huge duplex apartment that was bigger than expected. Beds were large and super comfortable. Great to have two bathrooms. Everything was clean. Very good value for money. Easy to access the property via door codes. Lovely lounge and gym on the top floor of the building.

The door codes were only shared a couple of hours before check-in (despite multiple emails saying they would be shared 24 hours in advance), which made things slightly more stressful than they should have been. On two occasions, was woken up at 2am in the morning by a beeping alarm in the kitchen saying "the freezer is too warm", which was kinda annoying, though the alarm stopped after I pressed a button!

Spacious lounge and kitchen area. Very design led and industrial, just like the photos. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. I’m from the UK and was surprised to find no USB charging points in the room and asked to borrow a charger. First member of reception staff I dealt with was offhand and unhelpful but the second one was very helpful and solved my problem.

The location was the only real downside for me. It was a good 20 min walk from the centre and not a particularly pleasant walk. I’d planned to use the metro at Race Vine, and did a couple of times, but it didn’t feel thatnsafe for a single woman ( a fair few people with addictions or mental health issues hanging around). Very few cafes and restaurants near the hotel, altho I recommend Cafe Lift for breakfast.

Suggest insulating walls between units better. Can hear everything from next door unit thru adjoining walls

Perfect for a family of 4 (with younger kids). There is enough room for everyone, similar to a studio apartment. Good separation of space between the bed and living room. Kitchen was well stocked with basic spices, essential utensils and mid range appliances. We even managed to do some quick cooking. Much needed laundry in the apt. for longer stays. Location was safe, 15min walk to reading terminal market and trader joes. Also not too far from tourist spots like liberty bell, independence Hall and the mint. Apartment had lots of sun light coming in and wel decorated. The sonder property is affiliated to Marriott and customer service is no short of what one expects out of them. There is some one available 24x7 on chat for any issues that you may have during the stay. You neither pay for cleaning charges etc. nor you need any trash removal etc at check out. A perfect option in-between a hotel and an airbnb. Will definitely try other sonder properties!!!

No near by parking available. The closest is 5 to 10 min walk. The sofa bed had springs hurting. Ordered an extra comforter/bedding to pad up the sofa bed a bit

It’s a huge room with a full kitchen, living area, and bedroom area. It’s also walkable to Reading Market and other attractions nearby. Definitely good value for the price.

Minor things: I wish they had real creamer in the room rather than the powdered stuff, I wish the blanket on the bed was thicker (we had a rainy, cold day while in Philly) and the flat paint in the bathroom is looking really tired. These are just nit-picky things, bc overall it’s a nice hotel.

difficult to get hold of customer service when we had issues with heating, took hours of sending messages in an online chat to get it sorted. not very soundproof, we could constantly hear our neighbours.
