The property is just over a year old and an overall a great hotel. Staff was exceptional! Plus the hotel was very well staffed. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Rooms were very quiet. Location is excellent.

The shower had an open end, rather than a full closing shower door. I have stayed in other properties with a similar open end concept but for whatever reason this shower allowed the water to run onto the bathroom floor more than it should. Honestly more of an annoyance than a major issue. Probably deserved a half point deduction to my overall rating. Since 9.5 wasn’t an option I decided not to take any deduction! Plus the staff more than made up the half a point!

I came here for my birthday weekend and it is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful the entire time. The room was clean and well decorated. My only cons were the noise (thin ceiling/floor). Everytime someone walked around upstairs it sounded like they were were going to crash through the ceiling! Very unfortunate. Also, my door wouldn't lock and my room faced directly to the door of the stairs. That was a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, the pool is small. I had hoped that it was a little bit bigger to enjoy, but you really couldn't swim in it, it's more like a sit and lounge pool. Would I come back? Yes, but I would definitely request a room higher up!

this hotel felt like luxury. i wasnt sure if it was okay to bring my kids with me. I wanted them to have some pool time for 4th of July. i was so happy to see other families had the same idea. Our room was ready by 3pm when we arrived and they allowed family swim time til 5pm then adults only after 5pm. Very well staffed and they were very attentive. always checking the pool, cleaning different areas and got our room requests right away. i am also happy that check out time was 12noon so kids got a morning swim. they are the last few hotels that has a 12 noon check out so i am very appreciative of that. we only did a one night stay that i wanted to go back already so i booked our return for my bday! no kids this time. im so excited!

i just wish they had lotion. L'occitane amenities were top notch. if they had lotion it would have been perfect.

We really liked the hotel. The staff is very attentive, everything is clean and tidy.

I didn't really like the restaurant because it was my birthday and I booked a table for dinner. We were given a special offer for the evening - duck, but it was harsh. We told the waiter about it and he didn't react to it. Later we ordered dessert and a birthday cake, and it was not nice that they charged us for everything on our birthday, although I think they could have made a discount because the duck wasn't tasty or at least not included the birthday cake in the check.

Exceptional Stay at Swiftwater I recently had the pleasure of staying at Swiftwater, and I must say it exceeded all expectations. The property is brand new, and the thoughtful design of the rooms is simply outstanding. From the modern showers to the fresh, plush towels, and the incredibly comfortable bedding, everything felt luxurious, clean, and brand new. It was clear that attention to detail was a top priority in every aspect of the hotel. The highlight for me was the indoor pool that seamlessly connects to the outdoor section. Enjoying a hot pool during the winter was truly priceless—a unique and unforgettable experience. What truly sets Swiftwater apart, though, is the staff. Every single team member was incredibly welcoming, greeting us with smiles and genuinely asking if we were enjoying our stay. This level of hospitality is rare, even at 5- or 7-star hotels. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff made our visit truly special. As someone who considers myself a very detail-oriented (and at times picky) traveler, I can honestly say there wasn’t a single thing to complain about. Breakfast was magnificent!

So, I booked through booking.com and there was a miscommunication in which I was promised a room with a pull out couch. When we arrived the hotel was booked to capacity and therefore our couch was not granted and after trying to do everything to honor our request as promised. We were unable to get the room we wanted. However, I must say rge hotel staff did everything they could to make up for the mishap. Special thank you to Mr. Sylvester at the front desk along with Mr. Kenny. They were extremely gracious.

Nice and new. The wood floors in the room smell good. Beautiful finishes in the rooms and lobby. Enjoyable little brewpub within walking distance. Good location in heart of Poconos.

Extremely high carbon-emissions patio. There is a fossil fuel fire pit burns all the time and does not completely burn the fuel (you can smell it if you are down wind), high-powered outdoor space heaters that are turned on regardless if someone is sitting there, and a heated pool which is constantly losing energy to the outdoors. While these are all pleasantries, the wastefulness was disappointing and I don’t want my dollars supporting these practices, so next time I will choose somewhere else. Most modern luxury seeks to incorporate sustainability into the design so I was surprised to see that oversight here. Also it’s built right on the main road with a huge wal-mart style parking lot so it slightly dings the rustic vibe it’s going for.

Although we were happy overall with our room, there were a couple of shortcomings worth mentioning. Namely: The handheld shower piece did not work. The exhaust vent in the bathroom did not turn on even though there seemed to be a dedicated switch for it. On the second day of our stay, even though our room was cleaned, the bath towels were not replaced. After we called housekeeping, we were told they temporarily ran out, which begs the question, why remove the old towels (we used them once the night before and left them hanging on hooks) if you cant replace them with new ones? Anyway, none of these shortcomings are a deal-breaker, but for a hotel of this caliber and price point, they should do better.

From the moment we arrived our experience at this hotel was exceptional. We loved it so much we changed our itinerary to stay an extra night. With my work I have stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and this one is up there with the best. The interior has been designed to such a high level that you are constantly noticing new and clever touches that feel luxurious and personal to the property. We especially loved the indoor / outdoor pool . Watching deer wandering in the woods outside our window and the food in the restaurant was sublime .The staff are a real credit to the hotel with their super friendly yet professional care. It was a joy to stay here and we already can't wait to go back again . Thank you Swiftwater .

Nothing , it was all wonderful

The pool is really well thought out. Inside and outside seating make for a lovely afternoon if the sun is too hot, or if it rains. The hotel is new, so everything is in pretty good shape. The toiletries were better than average. The slippers were a nice touch. They will learn not to allow glassware poolside at some point, I'm sure. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and full of advice for the area.

Didn't think the bar/restaurant should have pre-added a 22% tip to their bill. It's over the top for a place that still smells like new carpet. It was just the two of us, not a large party. Either side of the bed had an odd mat with a hard rubber border that you could stub an unwary toe on glued to the floor.
