Room was lovely and roomy with a separate reading area. Tea and coffee facilities Bathroom had plenty of room If I was to nit pick I would say the hand wash and shower gel seemed to be watered down apart from that excellent value for money. There was a courtyard garden which was not expected and it was so welcoming as the weather was amazing. We even spoke to the delightful young man called Yusef who booked us a taxi for the evening as we were going to a party, excellent all round!
to be petty maybe have poached egg on the breakfast menu without having to ask for it. It was all excellent so were the staff especially Yusef who took an active interest.

The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean - some nice touches (like fresh fruit, big tea/coffee mugs) There was a nice sitting area inside the door and then up a step to a large bedroom area The bathroom was a good size, clean with large towels, flannels and plenty of toiletries The garden area is lovely outside the rooms at the back. The breakfast was good - lots of choice All staff - reception and restaurant - were very welcoming and pleasant
At breakfast the coffee/hot water machine was very slow - we needed hot water for tea but had to wait about 10 mins for the people in front to get their 4 cups of coffee

Room was a great size with some tea/coffee available - extra milk was provided on request. Bed felt soft to begin with but it was comfortable and I seem to have slept very well. Breakfast wasn't included in the price we paid (this was expected) but the breakfast was great, consisting of a buffet style cooked breakfast and a selection of other cereals, juices, toast and pastries was available. The public areas of the hotel were amazing with the whole place being steeped in history.
The staff were a bit strange at breakfast but they seemed to improve and become more friendly as time went on.

There was an issue with our room key card being disabled. It was quickly reset, but there was no explanation of why it had occurred. The breakfast was adequate but we had to remind staff to bring toast over to our table. Upon checking out we had to go to look for staff as no-one was available and when someone did come to check us out, they looked as though they were multitasking.
The toilet brush was very rusty but that didn't even detract from our experience of experiencing g a high level of cleanliness for the duration of our stay. It would be nice if they installed soft close toilet seats. Everything else was absolutely superb.

We were in a twin garden room. It was a very hot night but our room had air con so that was fine. The bathroom and beds were exceptionally clean but this would be the basic expectation for me in any hotel. We left at about 8am for work then had a call later in the morning- my daughter had left quite a valuable piece of jewellery behind- we were so delighted with the way the hotel handled this from it being returned by housekeeping to the Duty Manager, to the telephone call to me, the process they followed to ensure it was my daughter's item- we couldn't fault them. If we are ever in the area again and needed an overnight place to stay we would return. Also our receptionist on booking in was lovely and very welcoming.

This hotel is a beautiful building, it looks very impressive when you arrive. The car park is a generous size and it was not too busy. The receptionist was friendly and booked us in efficiently. He informed us about the hotel restaurants and directed us to our room. The hotel is beautiful, it feels like I was walking through a piece of history. We walked across the garden to get to our room. The garden was beautifully maintained and a quiet haven, despite the hotel being on a main road, we could not hear any traffic as we sat and enjoyed a glass of wine. Our room, I was totally amazed at what we got for the price. It exceeded my expectations greatly. The room was on three levels, a seating area as we went in, a few steps up to the sleeping area and a few more steps up to the bathroom. The room was absolutely beautiful, everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, had a restful nights sleep. I will definitely be booking again.
Nothing.

I paid for breakfast however now it's a buffet breakfast which reduces your contact to client. I know it's a small and insignificant deal but the majority of your clients, in my opinion, would agree with my coments. Despite that you have a beautiful place. A small atraction to detail and customer service would be something you should look into. One of the waiters insisted we paid for every drink however by ordering food we could continue with a tab. I have stayed with you a few times but the last one, hopefully won't be the last. Again I reiterate you have a beautiful place.

This was not the hotel we should have been in, our other one was cancelled due to a problem, so we were a bit flustered when we arrived and managed to get a room. We were very warmly greeted and quickly checked in. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard and we were given room 7 a strange room with no windows, but two skylights. One of the skylights had an electric blind. The bathroom was very nicely decorated and very clean, but absolutely freezing, with just a tiny electric towel rail to warm it. The decor, was quaint, but this is a very old coaching inn. The Tv had a good selection of channels with a Roku remote if you wanted to stream Netflix etc (if you have an account). There is Twinings Tea and Nescafe and a biscuit. When we returned at 11.30 we manged to catch the end of the log fire and although the hotel was quiet, Lance the night porter served us beers as we sat and enjoyed the fire. He was incredibly nice and an asset to the hotel. In fact all the staff seemed lovely. There is Air Con, but its cold only and cannot be used for heating the room. (it was switched off at the time by the hotel) We did not do breakfast, but its served in a very old interesting room. The Tudor lounge was a lovely place to sit and chat, and it was 1am when we finally retired to bed.
It was a very cold night outside, but it was also freezing in our room. The heating seemed to be on, but not full belt, so we ended up putting some clothing back on. Also the bathroom was incredibly cold, it really needed a bathroom fan heater in there. In the entry way to the room was a skylight with no cover..we had a late night so were sleeping in, but as soon as it was light the room was light..not too bad in the middle of winter, but if I was in there in the summer and the sun was streaming in at 4am I would be annoyed, as I like a dark bedroom. And for a hotel in 2025 there was not a single USB socket in the room, which is very strange.

nice garden setting, theme well done throughout, staff were friendly and efficient. restraunt setting very nice, food good standard ,plenty of choice. there were plenty of lunch time patrons which we thought was a good sign.we would have no hesitation in staying again.
we stayed during good weather there were no weddings but there was a business meeting which didnt cause any upset. more information could have been helpful regards menu choices from the staff and seating arrangements ,we thought e vening meal was the set menu,it wasnt mentioned that an alacarte was available.one mistake on the checkout bill which was quickly ammended.

Loved the hotel the building and architectecture. Room was very hot but had an air con unit and fan so a bonus. Fruit and bottled water in room nice compliment. Beds really comfoy. Nice tea for breakfast. Good value for 1 night saturday stay.
Only stayed one night, arrived late so didn't really spend much time. There was a wedding on a kids were running about outside room really noisy but then we were off out. Not the hotels fault. Steps in room up to a bedroom mezzanine area and then again up to bathroom. Was not advised on booking. If you were disabled would have been a nightmare. You had to be very careful - no hazard warnings at all. Breakfast was Overbusy and running out of laid tables and food replenishment . Cold temperatures due to demand in dishes being opened. When new food was restocked it was not very hot either.Had to wait to be seated for 15 mins. Need a structure or agreed time for breakfast to organise better system. Felt sorry for staff but they were handling it well. Went out of their way to please.
