The Salty Lodge was paradise!! We were greeted by Joana, who was so pleasant and extremely helpful! She not only checked us in but gave us information about the many things to see and do in Lagos! She went above and beyond her job…..cannot speak highly enough about her. The apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable. You could not ask for a more central location in Lagos. The facility offered bikes, beach towels, beach umbrellas and chairs. Awesome beaches within walking distance! The rooftop was exceptional for an evening nightcap! We had a magical holiday in the Algarve and the Salty Lodge played a big role…..cannot recommend them strong enough.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay in Lagos! We would live at the Salty Lodge year round. Everything is perfect, from the apartment, its comfort, elegant design, well-equipped kitchen, they clean every day.. to the people (staff & guests)... amazing vibe! They have beach towels for you, bikes, little baskets of oil, vinegar, salt & pepper for those who like to cook. We had originally reserved for 3 nights, and we decided to extend an additional 4 nights. The highlight is the 5fth floor terrasse, with ocean view, cushioned chairs and blankets, working tables for us digital nomads, with strategically placed power outlets. They have filtered water, teas, and a full bathroom up there. Love, love, love this place!

The Salty Lodge was beautiful and a perfect location in Lagos. Our room, 4B, had incredible views and was a perfect space for a family with young children. Our kids loved the bed with bunk in the kitchen.

Salty Lodge was very homy and cosy, although it is in the middle of a busy area. The rooms were great, light and nice interior. And two bathrooms was very pleasant as well. They have beach supllies, like parasol you can use and the opening via a code was very handy, never forgetting your key. The rooftop offers a nice outdoor area as well.

It is very busy at night, most nights up to three in the morning. And in the morning there are noises from the street and restaurants. So bring earplugs. And when cooking, open a window, otherwise the extractor hood suks the sewer water up…not a nice smell….

We loved the central location close walk to the beach right near all the restaurants and stores. Absolutely beautiful roof top lounge with views of the beach, city and all kinds of spots to sit and enjoy. Coffee Nespresso in the room daily and fresh fruit water throughout the hotel as well as loved the bikes that could be taken out at no charge. The beach suppliers like umbrellas and towels were also so great considering we didn’t have room to pack those. Very clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Loved everything about Salty Lodge!

Wow- what a lovely place. We felt welcomed and well cared for every day. Lagos Old town is busy on all the cobblestone streets every night and Salty Lodge is in situated there, but once inside our room, we had a lovely outdoor patio and dining area that was peaceful. Clean and fully stocked kitchen- cooked breakfast daily. Would recommend to all- great correspondence- thank you Joana! Travelled from Lisbon via rental car and found free parking daily, no issues. Would recommend car rental for more than 3+ days in Algarve because of so many other areas to explore. Go west to Luz then Sagres, the tip of the Portugal geography to see the sunset. Then east all the way to the to other traditional fishing villages like Alvor or the Seven Valley hike, stopping at beach gems like Praia do Carvalho.

Property was centrally located! Right outside lodge was restaurants and bars. Less than 10 min walk from beaches. Paid parking less than 5 minute walk & free parking about 10 mins walking distance. Very clean. Staff were super friendly and cleaning services provided. Coffee offered in the room was very nice as well. Loved how spacious the room was and AC worked well. There was also a cute roof top area. :) I would def recommend to family and friends.

Hard to get in with car because it is the old town. One way roads were tiny. After certain time you are not able to drive through so you would need to get dropped off by the church and walk with luggage. So for anyone with lots of luggage just keep that in mind. But the walk from drop off point is not bad it’s about 1-3 minutes. I wouldn’t let this determine whether or not you stay there. I still would recommend to stay here. :)

The apartment was centrally located and well-equipped, offering everything needed for a functional and comfortable stay.

While not luxurious, it was clean and practical — though a few small touches, like rugs in the bedroom, could make it feel more homey. The small and uncovered terrace was a nice addition, although the external air conditioning unit took away a bit from the comfort. Being in the city center, it was a bit noisy at times. The staff was efficient, though somewhat distant and impersonal in their approach. Overall, a solid base for exploring Lagos.

The location is great to explore Lagos. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and you are welcome with complementary coffee and fresh oranges. kitchen is fully equipped and the code to enter the room and hotels is very appreciated since you don’t have to worry about a key when going to the beach.

There is parking available in several options 7 minutes or so always but this is more than understandable due to the central location. Among the complementary items they could include salt and oil, since as visitors using the kitchen they are very much needed but if every person has to buy si no other that are only available in big quantities it’s very wasteful. The opening times of the reception is a bit restrictive specially when checking in at 3.

We had a wonderful time at the Salty Lodge. From booking to check out, the staff were incredible and couldn't be more helpful. The accommodation was amazing. We arrived before the check in time and were able to leave our luggage, but we could also use the downstairs seating area as well as a penthouse area with amazing views! The penthouse had a bathroom with shower which we could use if needed as well as a water and coffee machine. Lots of comfy seats which we used throughout our holiday when we wanted to get away from the rest of the family! We had apartment 4B which had an amazing sea view and was large and spacious. A double bedroom as well as another double and single bed in the main living area catered for up to 5 people and I think the couch folded out but we never tried it so cannot be sure. The double bed in the bedroom was so comfortable - we slept incredibly well thought the holiday. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and came with lots of crockery and other kitchen implements. We loved the location too being right next to the street with the main restaurants and bars but far enough away for it not to be too noisy. If we ever come back we would 100% book this place and apartment next time.
