Everything went so well at Belle Vue Nishiura, we felt almost 'homesick' to leave! My 2 friends and I stayed there for a short ski/snowboarding trip after our time in Tokyo. Communicating with Satoshi-san on pick-up time and location from the station was so easy, just like how he could answer our pre-arrival inquiries promptly too. His cozy little lodge provides a hearty breakfast with free flow tea/coffee/juices and bread, everyday we woke up only to think about hitting the slopes with all the logistics cared for! Gear/wear rentals, shuttle service are all available, with rental prices giving the resorts a run for their money. The shared bathrooms were spotless and hopping into the bath after a long day out was just the cherry on top. Satoshi-san and his family work round the clock in the lodge staying there almost feels like an invitation into his family home; we will definitely go back!

Number 1 point is close proximity to Ishiuchi Maruyama ski resort. Affordable price! The lounge area was so cozy with a fireplace, comfortable chairs, a snowy view and board games. The in-house bath/onsen was much better than I expected, and I was able to enjoy it privately because there was a lock. Toilets clean and close to room. The 1st floor snow-gear drying area was efficient and very convenient! Public fridge on our floor (2F) was helpful. Cool manga/couch corner with view. Reception was easy. I enjoyed the comfortable aesthetic and vibe of the place. Beds were super comfortable and could be shifted around. TV and free extra towel was a nice touch. Bedroom had a snowy mountain view and felt rustic yet clean. Close to restaurants and convenience stores by car. At night, the big tree outside had pretty lights on it. The building was very attractive.

I used the boots rental service, and I wanted to check if any boots would be a good fit first, but he asked me to pay before I tried them on. I felt slightly pressured. Also turns out it was a few hundred yen more expensive than the ski resort because of an end-of-season discount, which this hotel didn't have. That said, the quality of the rental gear was okay. Walls were a little thin, I could hear loud people. Access was through a very small street, only kei cars can fit and the carpark was a little difficult to navigate because it was thin and oddly-shaped. The room key was attached to a long object which was inconvenient to carry. The door had to be locked on the inside part by hand while opened, then closed in order to lock it from the outside when going out.

Overall, enjoyed spending the night at Belle Vue. The hotel is beautiful and located in quaint Minami Uonuma with nice views of the mountains and stream in the living space/dining area. The owner is really helpful, Mr. Satoshi. He made the trip more comfortable by picking us up and dropping us off at the station. They also have selections of ski stuff. Breakfast served per request. Our tatami room is big, warm and cozy. We had a good night’s rest even at freezing temperatures. Will definitely consider staying longer in the future.

No elevator and showers on a different floor but not really a big deal.

The owner was the kindest person I have ever met. We went to this hotel with a small group of friends as we were participating in a spartan race taking place in the vicinity. The owner offered to give us a free shuttle service to go from the Echigo yuzawa station to the hotel upon arrival (for both groups that arrived at a different time), as well as from the hotel to the spartan race location and back the next day. He also allowed us to come back to the hotel to have a shower after the race, after our check-out time and free of charge. He finally also gave a ride to the station again. This was a life saver given the state we were in after the race. This is probably the best service I've ever seen in my life. The room was a nice Japanese style room for 3 people, with shared bathrooms for the floor, but there are enough stalls that this is absolutely not a problem. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a cozy little room and just to meet the amazing person the owner is.

I arrived at the closest station at around 8pm and it got so dark. Usually I would take care of myself, but I saw the photo list poster of the criminals at the station and there was just no one on the street. I texted to the owner that I was scared walking to the hotel, then the owner drove to pick me up immediately. I felt very thankful for that. The hotel was comfortable, clean and with a mountain View. There was also an onsen in the shower room. Free tea and coffee in the large dining room, which also have a pretty view. I enjoyed my stay very much.

My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this hotel. It's a family establishment run by Satoshi and his wife, along with their two small children, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat with a five minute walk to the Ishiuchi Maruyama gondola. Satoshi and his wife were incredibly kind hosts, providing me and my friend with pick-up from Echigo Yuzawa Station (multiple times since we arrived and departed at different times!) as well as transportation to Maiko Ski Resort. They also rented out snowboarding gear and provided breakfast for extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10 and have every intention of returning myself in the near future.　サトシさん、誠にありがとうございます！

Satoshi San is an absolute legend man, him and his family runs a pretty tight ship in this comforting family home. Everything you need, he is ready to be at your service. Super value for money and super near the ski resort(walking distance) pretty big too. If you're not looking to book your ski plans online (cheapest I believe but must be made days prior) getting it through him is way cheaper than walk ins. Also his gear in house for rental are pretty good and affordable too like I said, he'll take care of you. Breakfast is cooked by the man himself also, no complaints there as its delicious, you wouldn't want a buffet spread when you know you're heading out for the slopes anyway. Thank you Satoshi San aka guy in the green apron, and family.

Perhaps, and this has nothing to do with the accommodation per say, the town around is pretty quiet, and limited eateries r open for choice. If you're driving great, than you could have more choices, if not , if its within walking distance, I suggest 3 days would be just nice to go around the limited options.

The property is really close to 1 of the 3 ski mountains in Yuzawa. The other two can be accessed by a shuttle or car (if driving). The property is family owned and had been running for four generations, thus there is a lot of history in this place. Mr Satoshi and his family were really accommodating, and I didn’t expect for him to offer a pick up and drop off from the snow resort and train station. The property is really clean, the rooms are comfortable and space is reasonable. It is also accessible to some restaurants and a 7-11. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Yuzawa for a snow trip.

We had an amazing experience at Belle Vue Nishiura. The location is perfect, and the lodging and amenities are clean and well-maintained. Satoshi was an amazing guest and went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly, including a personal shuttle from the train station. Skiing is close by within a couple-minute walk, and the ability to rent nice ski gear directly from Belle Vue (for cheaper than the resort!) was a nice touch. We enjoyed the on-site baths at the end of the day to relax after a day on the mountain. We'll be coming back for sure, thanks Satoshi!

There is a very good dry room to store all the equipments and board. The owner was very nice about my request for towel exchange, late reservation of breakfast, and transportation from/to Echigo Yuzawa station directly. Both the room and the bathroom are spacious and clean. The lobby arrangement feels comfy.

The toilet water is kind of too cold to wash hands abd face. The rooms located at 3rd floor can be difficult to get to with the steep stairs, especially after a exhausting day or with heavy luggage. The location is close to one of the snow resort lift, but not that close to the base where shuttle bus stops. And with its remote location, there is almost no restaurants or any convenient stores nearby after 18:00
