The guy receptionist was exceptional. He was soft spoken, polite and respectful.

the cleanliness of the room could be improved, especially the floor.

Location is wonderful! Super close to major attractions and area is quite walkable but maybe proceed with some caution at night. My room had a view of the river and city landmarks which I liked. There are buses in front but I didn't figure out where they went. Rail stations a short walk away. There are affordable places to eat around Central Market which is just behind the hotel. There are also money changers and banks around. 24h convenience store and 711 on adjacent street. Staff are really friendly. Very responsive to my requests and inquiries. Room may be a bit modest, nothing fancy, but comfortable for me especially the soft pillows and comforter.

One towel I was given had a little bit of a weird smell after getting wet. Not a lot of body wash and shampoo in the room but you can request this from the front desk. No hand soap, but this is also minor.

Location of this hotel is most factor that I like. Situated at the center of the city and easy access to many places. I went for working purposes with my colleague and it was great to have a stay at this hotel. Food are always available at the surroundings. Breakfast buffet are also available at the hotel's cafe with affordable price.

The only thing that gave difficulty was parking spaces. The nearest parking lot is at the Central Market, still within walking distance but a bit far and tiring especially u were with lots of luggage. The rest are ok and great except for the toilet wall which was not really clean and a bit weird to have toilet/bathroom just next to your bed, separated by a glass wall only. hahaha.. Also please upgrade your tv channels.

Not sure what’s with the negative comments - I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so friendly. The location is amazing, right next to Central Market and in walking distance to several MRT/LRT stations. The room was a standard hotel room, we asked for a window so that was good and had a nice enough view. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were so soft too! Free water in the lobby as well

The bathroom was a bit weird because it’s glass so you want to be comfortable with whoever you’re sharing a room with haha. It also got everything really wet but that’s pretty normal for a wet room in Asia.

Very near to Central Market, i got a room with a nice view, Lobby smells nice, Coway is provided at the lobby for those who opted for filtered hot/cold water rather than using hotel’s kettle. Got complementary mini chocolate which was nice.

The iron is located (at a pretty scary area if you were going alone at night) at a different level, not at every floor like most hotels do. TV channel only 2 were working, the rest didn't work haha.. luckily the WiFi worked fine.

The hotel is located around 300metres from dataran merdeka. Just a walking distance for me as I booked it to join KL half marathon. So if you are looking for the nearest hotel to dataran merdeka, this is it. You can find a lot of halal eatery place around and its just opposite the viral klcg cafe :). The staff is very warm and kind and responses to your enquiry very fast! Kudos team!

Nothing much to feedback except for the toilet door which doesnt have a lock on them and doesnt close properly.

Everything was great. The staff was friendly and helpful every time. The breakfast was plenty. The location is just perfect. A lot of the must-see of the city are within walking distance or a couple of metro stations away (and the metro station is 5min away)

The only thing to note was that we stayed in a windowless room which sometimes was a bit dark, and by the end of the week was very humid after all the showers. Either way, would definitely stay at this place again, probably in a room with a window next time.

Very, very nice staff. They were always nice, smiling and friendly. We love them. Clean room (except the first one) - they offered us another room when turned out, that there is a leakage from an air-condition. Very good WiFi with a good quality and high speed, I was able to work from there remotely without any issues. Perfect location - in the centre of the city. Two minutes to the centre, 10 seconds to the beautiful river with colorful lights, a few minutes to the night market. Shared cold and hot water from the machine in the reception.

First room with air-condition with leakage, the second room had good air-condition. Bad smell of an electric kettle, which disqualified it from usage. No bedside tables, no wardrobe, hard to keep cloths somewhere.

Great value for the money in a good area. Breakfast was nice, the bed is comfy. The staff was very friendly, AC worked great, toiletries provided. I would say for a short stay I would definitely come again.

There is a strange requirement to pay 50RM deposit, although I didn't have cash with me and they said no need to. When I was checking out no one really checked my room and they were ready to pay back the deposit. So this seemed like some strange formality. Wifi was rather slow about 4mbps, but at the same time it was stable. The shower design is a bit weird, the water runs under the toiler, and then you just spread it all over the place. I think it would make much more sense to have a door that would completely close the shower, rather than building a cabin together with the toilet - uncomfortable for the client, and unnecessary extra work for the staff.

This is the second time I’ve been choosing here as my KL trip with my partner, friendly and helpful staffs was part of the best experience and memories for my trip. Lastly, thanks for the best service and I hope all the staffs from Avenue J hotel all the best in the future. Sincerely from Ms.Tan. I will miss this place forever, in my heart.
