It was a newer property. It still smelled so fresh and clean! The carpet was incredibly soft and the beds were comfortable. We were located on the backside of the elevator shaft and we didn’t hear it once! We had a king room with a twin. The twin had a dividing wall to give privacy to the main bed which was perfect for our son to be with us, but have his own space. There was a tv in the twin space as well so he could do his own thing! The location was amazing. Off the Main Street and far enough down Cottage St so we didn’t have the congestion, but a short walk to EVERYTHING! Easy walk to the land bridge too. Exceptional breakfast included and free parking. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming as well.

We enjoyed most everything about the property. My son wished for a pool or hot tub.

Pathmaker is obviously brand new (hotel since fall 2024, restaurant just opened a few weeks ago). Management seems to be setting a high bar. Towels and linens are high quality. Toiletries are very good quality, but in pretty small bottles. The included breakfast was not typical and very good, nicely presented (but not particularly kid-friendly.) Covered parking is very handy. Great location in town, easy walk to almost everything, except Acadia NP itself. Full service grocery store right across the street. Housekeeping staff is very nice and pretty easy to communicate with. Restaurant staff friendly and very competent.

Pillows were a little hard and too thick. We asked for softer, flatter ones. The parking under the building is pretty tight for larger vehicles, and not enough spaces if its a full house. There is a lot across the street. The TV system is too complicated (like most hotels seem to be.) I think the average traveler wants just the basic local channels to get the local weather and maybe a common movie channel for evening relaxation. Would have preferred a couple more basic breakfast options with appropriate pricing.

Extremely clean, well decorated, and color coordination is awesome. We love all the green everywhere and the Ethan Allen dark wood furniture. The beds are very comfy and the pillows are genuinely the best thing I’ve slept on! I’m very picky and have a hard time sleeping- I slept like a baby in these! We’re buying some ASAP. The breakfast is very nice quality and an assortment of options. The location is perfect, right next to Cadillac mountain and town harbor, plus the restaurants and grocery stores. Really, everything was perfect. If I have one gripe, it’s that the lighting in the rooms are very harsh, would be nice to have better accented lighting that’s less visceral to the eyes. I would stay here 10/10 times coming back! Awesome hotel.

Bright lights in room could be improved.

Location was perfect! Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, as well as the harbor. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean with the comfiest hotel bed I've ever felt. Staff was excellent, especially the young man who checked us in - didn't get his name but he was awesome! I loved the daily treats at the front desk. Whoever baked them all has a talent! Complimentary breakfast was also very tasty.

Price was pretty high but fair for the location and competitor rates. Worth it in my opinion, all things considered!

Excellent location ..right in the center of town with everything in Bar Harbor within 2 minutes of walking. Underground parking ...so bringing in your luggage to your room is without any hassle. Totally renovated so rooms are spotless clean comfortable and cozy. Excellent bedding and bathroom facilities with heat and exhaust. Well lit. Breakfast is restaurant style with gourmet choices. Not your typical English breakfast. Fresh baked Blueberry muffin is your welcome item at your breakfast before you make your choice from the six options for your gourmet breakfast. . Staff are extremely friendly and ready to help you with anything you need.

No provision for coffee/ tea making in room. Have to go down to the lobby to get your cup if you need one first thing when you wake up. Microwave and Refrigerator are there though.

We were given cupcakes at check-in! Staff were excellent and tea time was really fun. Our room was super comfortable, and I loved the Maine bar hand soap. Location was perfect walking distance to downtown food and shopping, and Acadia is literally minutes away!

The breakfast setup was a little weird, it's included and mostly self serve but you still have to leave a tip. Eggs weren't the best. Our room had some electrical issues each day, but every time staff took care of it right away and we were able to do everything we needed.

The breakfast was excellent and rare in this day and age of "gerbil cereal containers" and box mix waffles. We had a sit-down breakfast with homemade pastries and a savory and sweet option, which included fresh fruit and sausage or ham. The waiter was super sweet and the dining room was delightful and decked out for the holidays. In the afternoons, they put out tea, coffee, and cookies/brownies for people to enjoy.

I wish that the lobby had a few more seating options to hang out in, although the dining room area was available during the day and you could sit at the tables/booths if you wished. This may change in the future, however, since I heard rumor that they will be opening their restaurant beyond the breakfast hours once they have established themselves more fully (when we stayed here the hotel had only been open for two months).

We stayed the second night after they had opened, and the afternoon tea and treats were among the highlights of our family trip. The kids enjoyed them and we were able to chat about our hikes and plan the next day together. The rooms were also very clean with lots of towels. Most staff seemed very helpful. Found the beds nice and firm and lots of pillows. Could use another blanket in the closet, though. Lots of parking and it was free. Underground parking was included, as was breakfast. Delicious breakfast made by their chef and you can order your dish freshly made. Lovely!

They had just opened so had a small hiccup of the elevator not working but it wasn't an issue for us. They were going to have it running in a few days. Could be an issue for others with mobility issues. Another small issue is one evening the kettle didn't have water and when I brought it to the staff behind the bar and asked if we could have it filled, he told me to go to his office and do it myself. I also obviously didn't know where his office was and he was standing behind the bar with no one else in the whole room. Seemed like he could have filled it. It came across rude. Later I realized he meant I should go fill it up at the reception front desk where there is a water fountain. Still seemed rude.

the hotel itself was very nice, the staff was very friendly and nice. They had free restaurant style breakfast, you sit down at a table, take a look at the menu and order what you want! All the meals we tried were fantastic. The hotel is in a great location to walk all off bar harbor for all of your food,drink, or shopping needs. it's also only about a 5 minute drive to Acadia national parks main entrance. If we are ever back in bar harbor, we are definitely staying here!

Breakfast was excellent, especially when the main chef cooked breakfast. Since we stayed during the Christmas holidays, most stores and attractions were closed, but Olivia and Brandon came through for us and recommended wonderful local sites for us to enjoy. Since it was about a block away, we were also fortunate to have favorable weather conditions to walk through the land bridge during our stay. We also were fascinated with the land bridge appearing and disappearing with the tides.
