The kitchen was excellent to use, although a couple of the stove elements weren't working. Other than that little tid-bit it was great! The beds were so warm and comfy, the roaring fire in the lounge was lovely. Our host was genuine and friendly also. We have marked this as a place we WILL be booking again in the future. Absolutely stunning place.

The location was great and the overall feel of Old Bones Lodge is so so warm and inviting :)) Karen waited up to greet us as we arrived at 10:30pm.

It would be good to potentially think about putting in a late arrival procedure. It was amazing that Karen stayed up but also we felt bad knowing she had to. If there were some basic instructions and a location to grab the key that would be great. However the hospitality was amazing 10/10.

The lounge is very cozy. -The staffs are really nice. -The lodge is away from the town centre. So in a nice weather you might be able to see the galaxy in the garden.

The lounge is surrounded by all the rooms,which looks really cool and nice. But on the other hand, it could also makes everyone feel noisy if people is chatting loudly in the lounge.(luckily it didn't happen to us cuz we don't have much people checked in that day.) -There is only one shower got a heater. The rest of the shower are quite cold ❄️

Well set out shared accommodation, I liked that the room had its own exterior door. The bed was comfortable. I liked the automatic lights in the hallway and toilet area. The kitchen was set up really well. Lovely outlook. Good car parking. Nice to have oodles of firewood to keep the fire going.

The hot tub overlooking the sea was definitely an amazing experience and the reason why we wanted to stay at the lodge.

I was disappointed to only find out that the cost of the hot tub was almost as expensive as the accommodation. While it was worth the money; I feel that is something that should be advertised when booking not after the nonrefundable confirmation email is received.

Lovely spacious communal dining and relaxing area, very well-equipped kitchen, everything super clean and tidy, comfortable beds, ideal setting so close to a beautiful beach. An easy drive to Oamaru. Steampunk HQ is a must-see, it's wonderfully quirky, and historic area is great. Excellent value.

Some sofas a bit tired, showers had very limited space because of the way the plumbing had been done, music was fairly unobtrusive but not really necessary; the scenery and setting are fine as is.

A big surprise for me, as I really had no clue about what I was coming to, wonderful shared space with bedrooms around the edge, Exceptionally tidy and clean. Comfortable beds. Shared kitchen space incredibly well kitted out. Nice bathrooms, even if they are shared - very clean

The location is perfect. Short walk down to the beach, can sit outside at night and listen to the waves and look up at the stars. Bed was comfy and facilities were all clean and tidy. Very helpful owners who had some great tips on what to explore in the area. Price was well worth it. Twin bedroom was perfect size for what we needed for an overnight stay. No complaints at all.Would def stay here again!

Wow - everything. The location is so close to an amazing beach. It’s so quiet. Beautiful garden. Clean and spacious cooking area and lounge. Rooms located around lounge but could not hear people in lounge when u in your room. A lovely lady runs the place - so lovely.

This place is fabulous. Beachfront location a few minutes out of town. Super comfortable with everything you need to have a relaxed getaway - fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous hot tubs, comfy beds, towels and linens provided. Ample free parking onsite. Helpful, friendly owners. Large living/common area with comfy couches and lots of natural light. Shared bathrooms are clean and spacious. Cherry on top was the jigsaw puzzle under construction on the coffee table - was a huge hit with the other guests too!
