Pool was great. Restaurant were both very good….excellent meals at the restaurant. Bit out of the way, especially if you don’t have a car but the great local bus stops at the end of the driveway. Worked well for us. Staff very good…helpful and friendly. Room very good size….bed very comfortable, shower great. Clean room and eating areas, pool, etc. some of the property could use a bit of cleanup. Bit dated but everything good and enjoyable.

We didn’t have a car so needed bus to get to other restaurants if we wished. Meals at their restaurant were very good….quality, variety, presentation, fresh. The cooks did a great job.

The pool was lovely and well maintained with a little waterfall that sounded wonderful whilst swimming. All the staff were lovely and friendly apart from the receptionist who was sarcastic and rude. He wasn't helpful at all so I will provide some information for you instead. The breakfast was simple and sufficient. It is rice, egg and sausage or pancakes, egg and plantain. With fruit. It would have been better with spicy sauce, but they ran out. If you are not travelling by car, there is a bus that will take you to Manuel Antonio for 380 cash from basically outside the hotel. It will also take you from quepos bus station to the hotel. It is so convenient to get around and leaves roughly every 20 minutes. The room is clean with Aircon and a balcony, you are not allowed to flush toilet paper in the toilet, there are no signs. They have open bins in the toilet, which means when you go to the toilet the smell lingers, they should have bins with lids. Could be a 10/10 stay with improvements, but still a nice place to stay.

Only one bin the room, which was tiny and in the bathroom with no lid. The receptionist was sarcastic, unhelpful and unapproachable. Spicy sauce or any sauce for flavour for the breakfast would have been nice, as it is just plain egg and plain rice. The balcony has a bad view, but the pool is lovely so it didn't really matter.

Hotel is in a good location between Quepos and Manual Antonio Park. Tucked back from the main road it is quiet and we saw so much wildlife around the property. The pool was great and kept clean. Bedroom was comfortable with good beds. Rooms had TV and WiFi worked in the room. Staff were friendly. The wildlife coming around this hotel was what really made it with sloths in the trees, toucans flying in and monkeys coming by regularly.

It’s a steep walk into Manual Antonio town at the top of the hill. About 800m walk. But there is the regular bus if you did not want to walk it.

Hotel is very well maintained, located in the quiet area of Manuel Antonio, 10-15 minute drive to the national park. Breakfast was stunning: loads of options to chose from. Parking lot was spacious. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony. There is a pool available for guests.

Nothing major we did not like. Perhaps the only thing to mention is that there was a little communication hiccup: we wanted to stay one more night (additionally) and we were told there is a room available. When we came back in the morning to pay, another employee told us there was suddenly no room available, so we had to pack quickly and leave.

Nice owner, friendly staff, good breakfast, good guidance on local things to do and parking at manuel antonio beach area - which can be brutal. Good bar stocked with high end hard to find (in Costa Rica) liquor varieties. food, despite the wait was very very good.

lower water pressure in my shower (i think i had unit 17). difficult property entrance. Kitchen has a few bugs to work out when the restaurant area gets crowded, I think the food line logistics could be improved. I spoke with the owner and the head chef. They were great. Very receptive to constructive criticism which is a sign that this place is going to keep getting better and better. I recommend this hotel - for sure.

Really good base for exploring Manuel Antonio. Loved the pool and the delicious breakfast each morning. Very pleased I upgraded to a suite, as it meant I had loads of space and a hammock on my balcony that was great for reading! Well situated near a public bus stop for getting in/out of town and to restaurants (there are some good ones that are technically within walking distance, but as many have said the road isn't great for walking and you wouldn't want to do it in the rain or in the dark).

Las Tres Banderas exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, mid-way between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. The road that runs between the two is narrow and hilly so walking around the immediate area wouldn't be for everyone (no pavements) but I found it easy to walk up the hill for 10 mins to the nearest supermarket and a couple of good bars/restaurants. Easier still is the frequent bus that stops outside the hotel to go in the direction of either Quepos or Man Antonio. The flat fare is 385 colones (approx 65p - UK.) I loved the hotel itself - it's got a good retro feel about it and is comfortable and atmospheric. My room was large, with great air-con, the best shower I came across on my Costa Rica trip and the most comfortable bed and pillows of the trip. The room is cleaned and made up every day without fail with new towels. The private balcony was spacious with a rocking chair, hammock and a lovely natural view onto a wooded area full of wildlife. Monkeys in the trees - great fun to watch. The breakfast was good and simple with a few options to choose from, and there's a nice communal terrace area for games, reading and general chilling out. I didn't use the bar/restaurant as I wanted to explore the area for food options but it seemed popular and well used. All the hotel staff members are open, friendly and helpful and the wi-fi is strong throughout the hotel grounds. Last but not least, the swimming pool is superb - again the best I came across on my trip. It has generous opening times (7am - 10pm) and was never crowded. I was down there at 7am each day and at that time had it to myself, Overall this is a terrific, value for money option in beautiful Manuel Antonio and I would definitely repeat!

The hotel is in the jungle! We saw 2 different kind monkeys, lizards, birds and peccary. The restaurant has a simple but delicious menu. At the bar you can have all classic cocktails and other unique cocktails from the “professor” barman Javier. Our bungalow was getting cleaned every day from the always smiling ladies. The free breakfast had fresh fruit and 4 combinations of the traditional costarican breakfast, coffee fresh juice. And last, the kitchen guys and Andre accepted to cook for us the fish we caught with a boat ourselves. Definitely recommend it!

Is not that I don’t like but I would prefer the breakfast to start earlier for those who want to catch up with an early tour.

This hotel oozes old world charm. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant that opens nighly is marvelous (the slightly seared tuna should not be missed). Although older the hotel is extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing, romantic and beautiful. There is a wild sloth called Gordito and a large troop of spider monkeys who inhabit the area and they gave us some of our best photo in the area.

Outstanding stay. This is a beautiful colonial style hotel with a gorgeous pool and open air restaurant/ bar at the heart of it. The staff were incredible, delicious food and drinks, always someone on reception to answer any questions. Our room was perfect and immaculately serviced every day. The location is peaceful but right by a bus stop to whisk you down to Manuel Antonio beach or to quepos. We were travelling for 6 weeks and this was hands down the most charming and welcoming place we went to. And also heaps of wildlife! Parrots, monkeys, iguanas and sloths to name a few. Couldn’t ask for more.
