The location of this hotel is awesome! Walking distance to the beach and the national park (no need to worry about the parking hustles as you approach the park!), but tucked into the jungle. We didn't spend a lot of time on the beach adjacent to the hotel, but we walked down there to enjoy the sunset, and walked back from the national park along the beach, which was lovely. I also just really loved the vibe of the hotel. I quickly realized that the restaurant/bar/swimming deck was my happy place to rest and relax after a morning activity, and just enjoy the jungle setting. And while the pool isn't large, it is clean and very refreshing. We also saw a ton of animals from the hotel itself. On our third morning my son woke me up saying "mom, I see a howler monkey out our window!" Sure enough, there was a howler monkey crossing the road just out the window, followed by a bunch of squirrel monkeys. Our room had a window that overlooked the road, and a ton of monkeys cross the road using power lines and ropes, and we had a great view of all of it. We also saw several howler monkeys in the trees above the pool deck, and saw white faced monkeys come in droves to try to poach some food. We saw toucans, and a deer, and many lizards (and one scorpion) all right from the hotel. The staff were all very friendly, and contributed to the laid back friendly vibe of the hotel. Food was good- service is a bit slow, but if you are vibing and feeling relaxed, not an issue. The rooms were simple but comfortable, and matched the sort of jungle boho vibe of the place. The AC worked well (thank God, b/c it was very humid outdoors, and AC allowed us to get good sleep and our stuff to dry out overnight). The water was not "hot" as some have said, but was plenty warm and I wouldn't have wanted hotter.

Wifi: the wifi connection was very poor in our room. We got ok but not great wifi on the pool deck. Since we were on vacation, and also got wifi at many of our other stops it wasn't a huge negative for me, but its something they could improve on. Charging for coffee in the room after using 2 pods: This was the only thing that left a little sour taste in my mouth. I get limiting coffee pods and telling guests you a have to ask for more, but it just rubbed me the wrong way to charge for any coffee above 2, especially since we were staying 4 nights.

Staff were great, happy to assist with activities bookings, taxis, and friendly throughout. Great food Rooms were kept clean and tidy. The property was always being cleaned from leaves, etc

The room wasn't as good as it appeared when booking. Shower didn't have any heat adjustment and was taped up. The toilet didn't work properly. We found it a little tired and in need of some maintenance. If the downstairs fan was on, it was very noisy throughout the night. Probably better to have a kettle rather than a coffee machine as a lot of people dont always want coffee.

Jungle Beach Hotel in Manuel Antonio is a fantastic boutique hotel that is both cozy and family-friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is truly exceptional—especially Leo, who was always in a great mood and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The hotel’s lush garden is teeming with wildlife, including three types of monkeys, toucans, parrots, and lizards, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The food and drinks were delicious, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique stay in Manuel Antonio!

As soon as we stepped out of the car we knew we arrived somewhere special. Howler monkeys greeting us from the trees was a great welcome. The location of the hotel is fantastic, the restaurant was terrific, and the pool is exactly what we needed coming back to cool off in the hotel. Great vibes all around, would definitely recommend. Also saw from the hotel a sloth and squirrel monkeys that came down to the restaurant so we could see them from upfront

Jungle like setting, looks exactly like photos. Quaint, smaller hotel but great vibes. Nice restaurant on property , super friendly employees. We saw howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, toucan, and giant lizards 🦎. Definitely would stay again 🌴

Warm water for shower but that didn’t bother me so much because it was humid. So really didn’t need hot water . Wi-fi was spotty but hay we were on vacation, and rain came in every evening but that’s what keeps it so green

The hotel is ideally located close to the beach. Staff were fantastic at providing information, sorting tours and responding to requests (eg changing a lightbulb, providing more toiletry items, etc). Thankfully they changed our towels every day as the hotel is covered and doesn’t get much sun so most things stay wet/damp. Having the fridge was great. It was nice to be part of the nature and the monkeys!

We liked everything. It would have been ideal to have the breakfast included as part of our stay.

Great hotel, nice and clean, all staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and well furnished. Hot water, WiFi and AC all good. Close to the road but feel like you’re staying in the Jungle, Howler monkeys up very early in the morning and around at breakfast time! Bus stop right outside which takes you down to Manual Antonio beach,shops, restaurants, bars and National Park. Also 3 minute short cut walk route to beautiful beach nearby. Perfect stay after a 9 day trip with Intrepid.

The hotel was in a perfect location. We got the true feel of the Jungle experience with it's lush and manicured grounds. It's a short walk to Manuel Antonio Park and the beaches. We enjoyed the monkeys up close at the hotel. The restaurant is very good. We had breakfast there every day. We loved Lorenzo's excellent coffee as well as his Margaritas. The staff was great and friendly. We got the true feel of the jungle experience along with the comfort of the lodging.

The WiFi dropped occasionally. The shower's hot water could be a little warmer.

Room was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Appreciated having a fridge. Loved the little area in front of our room to relax in lounge chairs and watch the howler monkeys and birds in the surrounding trees. Estovan (sp) is a great representative of the property. His enthusiasm was contagious. He provided us with excellent information on how to get what we needed and matched us with excellent tours.

We were not expecting so much construction on the property. The noise and disruption affected our enjoyment. The restaurant food was a disappointment as well. Even with these negative points I still lo loved the place.

Lovely hotel. Room was great, the bar/restaurant was surrounded by forest where we saw deer, squirrel monkeys, cappucin, lizards and birds in comfort with a cold beer in hand. Food was good - good Veggie choices as well as mainstream. Staff were great, good English spoken and they were patient with my poor Spanish. Access to the stunning beach was about 5 mins stroll without any steep slopes. Parking onsite was no problem. Recommended tours were top quality.
