The hotel is located in the center of Petone, making it very convenient. Parking costs an extra $15. When I booked the hotel, the staff mentioned that the parking spaces were already full. However, after I explained that I had a lot of belongings in my car and needed a secure parking spot, she went out of her way to find one for me. I really appreciate her help. The room has a small kitchen with an electric stove, a microwave, and a coffee machine. There is even a small dishwasher, which is great. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

The only dissatisfaction was with the room cleaning service. As soon as I opened the door, I saw an old pillowcase left on the table. I threw it on the floor, and it stayed there until the day I left. I stayed for three days, and the room was only cleaned on the third day after I specifically requested it. On the second day, I even ran out of clean towels. The bed linens were never changed during my stay. and The coffee machine was leaking.

The place was very comfortable and well located for our purposes. It was not large but quite adequate. It was centrally situated so we were able to walk to most of the places we needed to get to.

We thought the supplies left for tea and coffee making were inadequate and there was no shampoo or washing liquid in the dispensers in the shower. we were under the impression that we would have parking facilities for our car but on arrival it turned out that there was a fee for off street parking and there was no available space on our first night, so we had to leave our car on the street. Fortunately, there was no damage done.

Great location. Excellent, helpful, professional staff. Room had everything I needed and more including washer and dryer and all the basic kitchen bits to cook if I wanted to. Comfy bed and couch.

It could have been clearer on booking.com that the parking was an additional charge, needed to be booked in advance and had limited spaces (only mentioned in the 'fine print'), however the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and offered a number of solutions and there is free in street parking close by. Parts of the room were getting a little worn but this didn't detract from the clean and fresh overall presentation.

I had one disappointment which was that I requested a separate fold away bed as it was my son and I staying. I got sent an email stating that was no problem and there would be no charge. Then shortly after another email stating it would cost $30. I accepted that cost but when we checked out they charged $30 per night for that bed. This was not written as such in the email I received. So I was surprised. For 3 nights that foldaway bed cost me $90. I felt that was a bit steep. Perhaps be more clear with communications Quest. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

Overall it was a good stay. We were only there one night and it served a purpose.

When we arrived there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. There wasn't in our apartment so it must have been in a neighbouring one. Later after being out the elevator smelt the same. During my shower one of the doors came off its rail as I tried to get them to meet properly. I set it back on the rail but they still don't meet. There was also damage to the basin. I didn't find the bed very comfortable but that's probably just me as my partner thought it was fine.

The Quest is always clean and tidy with modern facilities. I like that it has a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the room. As for location there is all types of restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Also having a small, private balcony for fresh air is just a nice touch.

For the most part it was all perfect, it was exceptionally clean. Just the shower seemed like it needed some love, the seals were not completely staying shut and there was a dent in the shower pipe that I didn't see till I moved the shower head. I also wish there was a shelf in their showers to put personal items on. The shower gel, shampoo & conditioner are a nice touch but they take up a lot of wall space and it would be nice to have a shelf for personal items.

We didn't try the breakfast but the coffee machine was nice. Good selection of other tea and coffee supplies, salt and pepper. Having a laundry washer and dryer in the room was great. It's close to the foreshore, restaurants and supermarkets.

The bathroom tap was surprising, as when turned on full the water hit the front of the basin and splashed out on the floor etc. The room was really warm without heating on, which was good in a way but we only needed a sheet on the bed most nights. The TV had limited options.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of our room and the closeness to the main street of Petone. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was only a view fo the building opposite.

While our room was spacious, our friends’ room, which I had booked at the same time, was rather small and they paid the same price! I think both rooms were overpriced as we have never paid that much before, even for accommodation in Melbourne, Australia. I think it is unfair for prices to be hiked up when there are special events on in nearby Wellington City.

I have selected top marks for every question. This is why we have traveled quite a bit and used other Quest locations, but this one in Petone is one of if not the best accommodations we have come across and that includes Europe. Not just the clean up to date decor but the sincere and helpful attitude staff have from the manager to the cleaning ladies. If I owned a motel or hotel then these are the people I would want to run it. Thank you.

Check in was awkward when talking on intercom and not getting let in. Another customer eventually let us in. Some of it was my fault not reading instructions fully prior to arrival but it could have been explained better on intercom and let in. Girl behind counter was subsequently excellent accomodating us with an extra bed later in the evening for our son
