Rooms nicely presented. Good shower, minibar (we didn't use it but good to know it was there and the prices were cheap, ditto breakfast), surprisingly quiet at night for a main road. Enough parking if you count a little bit in the lane out the back.

Didn't realise the room was upstairs but that could have been my fault for not reading everything properly at the time of booking. It wasn't an issue as it turned out, but at one point I asked my mum if she wanted to come and it definitely would have been a problem had she said yes. Lipton's tea - why motels stock that stuff I'll never know. And real milk please, not UHT. But this is a negative that so many motels in Australia have. I should have remembered to bring my own tea and buy some milk. On the other hand we always enjoy Kookas biscuits!

Easy to find and walking distance to everything. Room very clean and comfortable. Has a fridge with mini bar (didn’t use but selection looked good and reasonable price) Room was spacious and warm! Which was lovely as it was cold outside! Very easy to access room via door code being sent by text prior to arrival. Top tip - there was no reception when arriving (door code being sent by text) so visit the information centre for all things to do/ see/ eat and drink in the area. Room service breakfast is offered - however there are so many great cafes around there’s no need to do if you didn’t want.

The room was exceptionally clean... the shower, although having a slightly older style of tile, was spotless, as was the entire bathroom. Very impressive housekeeping! Towels were soft and dried very well. Toiletries were excellent Petite Spa Green Tea scented, I loved them. Rooms are serviced daily (be aware of that) and can have towels replaced daily if you prefer. Bed was very comfortable, room was furnished neatly and simply, creating a calm and comfortable environment. Blinds keep the room well-darkened. Netflix was free on my TV. Electronic Door Code and no need to check-in or out, just enter 4 digit code plus #. Mini-bar was well stocked but of no interest to me. Parking is on a first-in basis, but a lot of spaces, undercover, and overflow can park on the very quiet street behind. Located in a quieter part of town. This is a very popular Motel. The Lake View Hotel is two doors away and their food is excellent... great opening hours... highly recommended!

This is in no way a complaint, just an observation: No plate or knife & fork... that would have been useful, but great that they have a toaster, kettle, etc. Puddles of water at bottom of rear stairs from the water heaters, step carefully, but that is a small, unavoidable thing.

Alexandra Place offers exceptional value for its price, exceeding expectations in several key areas. Our room was impeccably clean and remarkably comfortable, featuring a bed that rivalled my own for sleep quality. The in-room amenities, including a mini-fridge stocked with standard mini-bar items and complimentary coffee, tea, and milk, were a welcome touch. While we opted to explore local breakfast options, Alexandra Place does offer a curated breakfast menu with delivery to your room. A significant highlight was the outstanding shower – the water pressure was robust, and the temperature heated quickly, a detail often overlooked but greatly appreciated. The hotel's location proved ideal for our visit, particularly for accessing the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Art Gallery. We found the walk to and from the gallery to be easily manageable, even for our less-than-athletic selves (two women in our early 40s and 50s). While perhaps not boasting the full suite of amenities found in a traditional five-star hotel, Alexandra Place earns its five stars in terms of its excellent value, well-maintained condition, and prime location. It provided a comfortable and affordable base from which to enjoy our Bendigo experience. We are sincerely grateful to Alexandra Place for facilitating our visit to the Frida Kahlo exhibition. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bendigo and look forward to returning

The property was very clean and comfortable and importantly the heating was very effective given 5° outside. There was plenty of extra blankets and electric blankets on both beds. I appreciated there was a small fridge and provisions for tea & coffee. All the units were occupied but there was no unruly behavior. When people were returning after being out late they kept the noise down.

The walls between rooms were not very soundproof, that’s why I appreciated people were respectful. Just an FYI the bathroom tap in room 6 was dripping, couldn’t turn it off properly.

Great to be able to book 2 bedrooms. Very convenient location. Generous supply of tea/coffee/milk. Nice towels and toiletries.

Electric blanket on QS bed had been left on, so without realising I was VERY hot during the night. Also bottom bunkbed elec blanket was on 3 and only noticed because clothes on bed were very warm! Potentially high risk? The cleaning staff were very receptive to the feedback. There was a mechanical 'whirring' noise for quite a long time which my friend was very aware of- she was able to record it, but did get to sleep.

Cleaned facilities along with amenities and utilities like you would have at home. Both laundry machines function as it should. Great location for travel around Bendigo CBD.

TV remote was very touchy and sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t with the buttons as it wasn’t the original remote. Also recommend a bigger size TV due to not seeing it well due to distance from the couch. Wifi doesn’t really have a strong signal at all but two bars unfortunately. I was hoping to watch some movies using the T.V apps but didn’t work due to wifi. Maybe have it closer or an wifi extender on the property itself. Lights were dim for some parts of the house such as the living room and along the kitchen to the hallway with uneven lighting. Would be great if there was more consistency with lighting for the townhouse.

In our room, number 7, there was no light above one side of the bed and no bedside light on that side either. This meant i could not see to read after it became dark out side. Also, I was very cold in bed. My partner had gone to sleep; so I got extra blankets from the cupboard, but would have appreciated an electric blanket, In the morning he said there was an electric blanket on his side! On a different matter, Zac was quick to respond when I made a request.

Spacious, clean, well appointed. European laundry, toilet separate to bathroom, 3 split systems. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Easy, contactless check in and out. Reasonably priced, delicious breakfast available (Just call, text or scan link) that was delivered exactly at the time requested. Close to eateries and a short walk to town.

Hooks on back of door in 2nd bedroom would be handy for towels. Traffic noise in front bedroom during busy times.

Room was clean and modern. Good location. Great parking undercover. We were upstairs and the balcony, across the front of the rooms , had marine carpet. It was fabulous because you couldn’t hear anyone walking past your room. Soundproofing was also good, couldn’t hear others in their rooms. Non contact check in was easy, we were just instructions.

Nothing not to like. Just a suggestion- a mirror in the room would be good. There was only the bathroom one above the sink.
