The location was perfect for us, having driven off the ferry from Brindisi quite late in the evening. The hotel was easy to find and had its own car park off the road. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable with plenty of storage space and a large fridge, and a nice small balcony to sit on. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Very convenient for the port. We would stay there again.

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, so we went next to a cafe. The room was light when it should have been dark, as the a/c light remained on all night (we covered it with a towel!).

The room was clean, airy and had workig air-conditioning, as well as a mini-fridge and a full-sized, walk-in shower with a strong (high-pressure) ready supply of good hot water. It also had double glazing (vs road noise - well the hotel <is> on a main through road opposite the ferry terminal) and we think it had a balcony - but we were out and about all day so never comfirmed that :-)

We had a circular bed, which was not the most comfortable experience; and we had to find breakfast outside the hotel, which was great for adventure, not so great for providing a justification for persuading my better-half to get up in the mornings :-)...

Right opposite the ferry to Corfu, I checked in and the helpful receptionist looked up to see that I could pop over to Corfu for a quick supper and be back on the last ferry for bed, though probably thought I was a bit mad, ho ho. All comfy, good air conditioning

Very strict about not even staying in the lobby after check out. I guess understandable as so many would hang there, maybe all day, for late ferries, but slightly frustrating all the same. I did find an excellent place nearby, though, Chocolat, instead

The location was great for us. The Ktel bus we took from Ioannina stopped right across the street and the ferry we took the next day to Paxi left from the same general area. I was a little worried that the port of Igoumenista would be dirty and filled with pickpockets like Pireaus, but that wasn't the case. I felt safe there and found the people friendly and helpful. I think the Astoria hotel must have been a renovated older hotel, but it had lighted exit signs and other safety features that old hotels lack. Everything looked clean as well. I think someone has spent a lot of time and effort bringing this property up to date and adding colorful pictures to brighten it up.

The floor of the hotel we were on had a long hallway with more rooms than I expected looking at it from the outside. Also the lobby was huge. There was a little room at the end with the desk clerk and a sign on the wall that read "only 2 people at a time." My guess is that entire tour groups might stay there during the summer. We were there in October, so not too many people were around. The decor was rather Victorian, with velveteen and chrystal chandeliers and it made me think of an Agatha Christie movie.

The staff was superb! So welcoming, helpful, polite and nice. The room seemed smaller than it was because the beds were big! Comfortable beds, good AC, nice balcony with new furniture, really good waterpressure and both a fridge and a water boiler in the room. There was also two kind of pillows, one softer and one harder. The lobby has an old era feel to it. I think it's strange that this is a two star hotel. I've spent a fair share of nights in three- and four stars hotels in Greece that was not half this good. The cafe next door serves breakfasts and good coffee, and there's also a Goody's as a neighbouring business.

We arrived late afternoon and Nikos was waiting for us outside. We got the bags out of the car and he showed us where to park. Astoria have a dedicated car park behind the building and he has a camera to watch the car park. It's a very safe area, so you don't have to worry about the car..saying that doesn't mean you keep your valuables in the car. We took the room with a balcony and it was facing the port. The balcony was big and had comfortable big seats with a shade that you can control. There is ample sun if you want to wash anything. It will dry off very quickly especially in summer. The room is quite big and had a big TV. All Greek channels but Channel Star puts English movies. We were there to get the late night ferry to Italy. It is a very comfortable room, outdated furniture, but it gave us a smile as we walked in. Nikos is brilliant, always has a smile on his face. I am sure if we asked for anything he would have sorted it out. There was a tea tray with kettle, but they forgot to replenish it with tea bags..but it was fine for us as we don't drink tea or coffee. There is a cafe just outside the hotel and serves breakfast. The location is great. Right on the Port. It's not a busy road. When the balcony door is shut you can't hear anything. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, Bakeries and a big supermarket and pharmacy nearby. There is also a beach further down the strip. I recommend the seafood restaurant facing the supermarket..They open at 7pm for dinner. For a 2 star hotel, Astoria exceeds the expectation. Thank you Nikos.

The shower tray area needs to be removed and converted into a walk-in shower.

This was one of the cheapest places that we booked for our entirely holiday. Hve expecting a bit of a dump we were really pleasantly surprised. We found the entire place to be spotless. The room was spacious. Our room, which was a corner room, had an enormous wrap-around balcony.

Our room had a circular bed, which was not something I had encountered before and it wasn't that great for sleeping in. The hotel is located directly opposite the port on a main road, so it is not the most scenic of places. That said, we sat up at night and watched them load a ridiculous number of cars and trucks onto a ferry. They shouldn't have all fitted but it was a fascinating process to watch.

Staff was very kind and very helpful. They kept baggage for us safe while we walked the town before leaving on the ferry the next day. The ferry port and ticket booths are right across the street. There is very good walking along the port and harbour with good outdoor restaurants nearby. We ate at Lithnos, recommended by the staff, and found the food very good. The hotel is on the main busy road, but it gets busy mainly when the ferries are loading and unloading. Our room was quiet, adequate for the short overnight stay and reasonable. We enjoyed staying there. The hotel has a grand entrance, unlike the older buildings around it.

The hotel and room served our overnight stay well. Hard to argue with anything.

Excellent location 7 min walk from ferry terminal. 3 mins from bus station. Great glitzy foyer. We had room with balcony and big circular bed. Good to watch the port and play pretend Hollywood. The 24 hour staff were lovely. Would have stayed another night but booked out. World’s best bakery 2 mins to the left. Not kidding.

Not much. So many mirrors in the lift felt like the matrix or LunaPark.??? Fun if drunk.

The friendly and welcoming staff (what every traveller needs) who go the extra mile in ensuring your ease and comfort. Authentic and comfortable apartment, very good price/value, big enough for a family.

Very minor- lack of aspect in the living room - but well compensated by delightful little patio out the back
