This place was absolutely perfect for our needs. We stayed in the family room, so got to enjoy a bit more extra space with our party of 3. The family room is 2 separate bedrooms and a bathroom; each bedroom has a TV which is a nice touch (not that we used them during our stay). The room had a refrigerator with small freezer section. The beds were very comfortable (I think the mattress must have been very new). The area is peaceful, and we slept like babies during our two-night stay. There was a separate shared kitchen area which served great coffee in the morning and was very handy to prepare light snacks. The pool on site was clean and the seating area in the front of the apartment was very comfortable. We were close to the town, and the value of the place could not be beat!

Really cannot fault anything. Lake George is expensive, and this place keeps things simple and affordable.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hillside for a few days this week. Very convenient location near lake George town, Great Escape ,shopping centers and more. Not sure which Amanda I spoke with but she was very friendly and welcoming . The motel is an older vintage style. Which is very nostalgic and comforting if you appreciate these types of places like I do. The Wi-Fi is top notch. I had no issues with lagging or disconnecting. Good size pool that was clean . Convenient kitchen area for the guests to prepare meals, fresh coffee made every morning

I love coffee all day long so I wish they had machines in the rooms. The only other draw back for me would be the mattress. I am not used to firm Mattreses but was able to sleep alright on it. Thank you to the Amanda's for all you do. Great place to stay.

Have traveled to Lake George every year since 1975. Come for the weekends each week during summer. Love the "rustic Adirondack cabin experience". This is the old Lake George experience I had growing up when my parents took me to Lake George. The Hillside Motel reminds me of that. The owner is very accommodating and wants to meet customer's needs. An example is a few weeks ago we checked into our room. Nice room, enjoyed it. When I was asked to fill out a survey by the company I booked with, I mentioned that it would be nice to have a couple of things to make the stay better. When we came back, Amanda told us we were in the same room and told us the room included our recommendations. How customer focused is that!! If your looking for a Ritz Carlton experience, skip it but if you want a nice room with an owner who wants to make your stay nice, this is the place. Even have a nice porch with rockers to sit and view the mountains. Experience the original Lake George experience and support the local mom and pop businesses that made Lake George famous.

The whole experience there was excellent. Very nice room, comfortable bed, swimming pool was clean and fresh, coffee in the kitchen area that guests can use for cooking, and a wonderful host, Andrea. I'd stay here anytime! And two rocking chairs on the porch to relax on. Highly recommend this place! I wish we had stayed longer!

The only problem we had was nothing to do with the motel. Parking in town is tight! A shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel and goes right into town. Next time I'll use it!

We liked that the room was clean and quaint....It is very close to LG Village and several other destination spots....The motel offered late night self check in....The owner Amanda was very friendly and accommodating....The pool and its patio was clean and provided chairs, lounges and umbrellas....The front porch areas to each room had 2 rocking chairs and a sm table and an outside light that could be turned off....The mini-frig was large enough for food and drink....Though no coffee maker or microwave in the room, there is a community kitchen that offered coffee and microwave use....Towels were delivered upon request....There is a bbq grill for guests which is a good idea....Roku tv & internet is provided....Overall, it is a very good place to stay for the price and what it offers ~ : )

Our only thoughts were that the mattress was extra firm, and there was no closet in our room, or wall hooks to hang items up, although there was a very nice large armoire dresser....Other than that, our 3 night stay was totally fine ~ : )

The owner was very friendly when I came to check in. The airco was already running in my room. I appreciated having a quiet room at one end of the property.

The room I was staying at was pretty old. It looked cleaned, but there were still stains in the bathroom. Some sockets near the bed would have been useful.

My friends and I have been here two times, and the stay has been amazing both times. The facility was clean, the owner is extremely accommodating, and the motel is within walking distance if Lake George. I reccomend this place for anyone visiting Lake George, and will be returning for any of our trips in the area.

Easy-going and friendly, thoughtfully equipped. To have a fire pit for our use was such a lovely touch, as is the community kitchen. These are modest accommodations, but comfortable and inviting. The rocking chairs in front of each room are a homey spot for morning coffee listening to the birds.

There was soap but not shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom, which wasn't a big deal but I wished I'd known ahead of time. Wifi comes and goes a bit, but that's expected.

The management was excellent; she kindly provided a good explanation of the activities in the area and was flexible regarding the use of the pool and parking.

III think the bed can be better. It seems very old, so any time I move it, it makes a lot of noise.
