Beautiful view and quiet location apart from building work that is happening currently. First two nights were in a smaller room with quite a small bed and fairly dark room with no breakfast options other than tea and a tiny milk with 2 biscuits. The staff were very friendly indeed. After a couple of nights in Jervis Bay we returned and the room was better bigger and the bed was bigger and more comfortable which was nice but made me realise the first two nights we were staying in an average room for the same cost as the better room. Not used to staying in a hotel with zero breakfast option. Seemed to be in a phase of transition really. The pool area was lovely when sunny but didn’t use it as its next to bar area and was not sure when we’d be overlooked by bar/restaurant patrons. Staff directed us to Sunny’s down the road for breakfast which was a lovely spot.

We came across Robyn's Nest Lakeside Resort by chance and it was a delightful stay. The resort is situated in a private location, surrounded by natural beauty with the bushland and lake. We had a lovely room with a large covered verandah and plenty of space. It is a short drive into town, but we enjoyed dining at the onsite restaurant and using the facilities. The staff were very attentive and helpful at all times. We enjoyed sitting on the verandah to read, relax and enjoy the lake views.

The door to our ensuite opened onto the communal hallway and was secured by a hook and loop lock so it didn't feel very secure. The styling of our suite was quite dated and needed a refreshing clean due to the dustiness of the heavy drapes and curtains. The television screen is very small and could be updated to a larger screen to enhance viewing comfort for guests. These were minor things that did not detract from our enjoyment and stay.

Robyn’s Nest is absolutely fantastic. Our cottage was very clean, spacious, with very well-equipped kitchen, two nice bathrooms, and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The balcony was big and had a barbecue. The resort is situated in beautiful surroundings overlooking Merimbula Lake and only a ten-minute walk from the boardwalk to town. The swimming pool is also very nice and clean with free pool towels. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here and had a delicious dinner at The Goodenia Restaurant. The food, wine, and service were excellent. We will highly recommend this place.

The only thing we can think of is replacement of curtains in the rooms.

A very pretty, quiet and relaxing place to stay at Robyn's Nest Lakeside resort. Had a wonderful view. We stayed in the guest-house, was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, kind and accomodating to us. The restaurant dumplings were delicious, i recommend going there. We will return again and i recommend this place.

Nothing really but a toaster would be a help in the room. More bins for rubbish around the place. Lighting on the sign on the main road would be beneficial for night time.

Location is gorgeous , a secluded beauty spot. Bed was huge and very comfy. Has old world charm and with a quick upgrade of tacky furniture could be top notch. Bath robes a really nice touch.

V 70,s varnished pine, tap in bathroom leaked at the bottom. Screen door really old and let mossies in got bitten. Our room was next to reception and you could hear everything they clearly use the loo when not occupied so it’s held closed by a hook ! Did not feel safe or secure with bed right against the reception wall and them working the other side , noisy and intrusive. Had nightmares then woken early by electric saws!!!

The location was very pretty and peaceful. It seems like they are doing a major overhaul of the resort - there was quite a lot of activity. The room was very big and clean - the decor was 'country cottage' and had an old-style feel.

It seemed like the admin team were a bit distracted with all the construction work going on - they did not seem very interested or particularly welcoming when we arrived. They did not explain anything to us about the restaurant or the facilities of the property.

The view of the lake is truly spectacular. We were surrounded by the beauty of nature, with bellbird calls ringing out and the occassional kangaroo. Many of the native plants were in flower. The room is a very generous size, with a king size bed, walk in wardrobe and bathroom.

We were unlucky that they were constructing a new restaurant while we were staying there. I realise that this is a short-term annoyance. Management went out of their way to help us out though.

The setting is amazing giving a quiet stay close to nature but easy drive to town. We were in a room with lake views in the guest house with clean flexible accommodation and great swimming pool. Staff were amazing and the restaurant was one of the best we had encountered on more than 3 weeks on the road. Worthy of a decent length stay.

Maybe just a little dated in parts but current owners investing heavily to improve further this unique property that needs a visit.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Our cottage was comfortable, cosy and quiet. It was nestled in amongst the delightful gardens with a gorgeous view to the lake, that was only a 5-minute walk away and so we were able to do some fishing off the property's jetty which was relaxing and fun for our family. Our teenage children had their own bedroom and bathroom which is always very nice for us parents, especially given we stayed for a week. The children did lots of exploring around the property and swam in the pool every day. They borrowed Monopoly from the guesthouse and had a perpetual Monopoly game for the week. The newly opened Goodenia Restaurant was fabulous. We enjoyed a couple of delicious meals there and the service was tops! The wine list was impressive and my favourite was dessert, Affogato, that the very lovely Maitre d' even made with decaf for me. We had quite a few meals that we prepared in the cottage's well-equipped kitchen and we barbequed on our balcony for a couple of meals also. I enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck of an evening and a cup of coffee there in the morning. It was quite blissful. Getting to and from the Merrimbula town centre was easy and the town had everything we needed to stock up and for entertainment and WE SAW WHALES, lots of them, which was the main purpose of our trip.

A lovely location by the lake. Our 'cottage' was roomy and had a spacious kitchen and siting area. The jetty area was beautiful and very relaxing.

Entry to the property at night was quite dark - also felt like a 'back entrance' and could be improved as the rest of the gardens / area was lovely. The room was a bit 'musty' when we entered - not sure if it had been used for a while? Once aired out it was lovely!
