Top location with friendly staff. The room was clean and spacious with a twin bed and a double bed. Continental breakfast was provided. Great value for the price of the accommodation. I asked about the possibility of an earlier check-in, and the reception sent me a text message asking for my time of arrival to ensure my key was ready. When I arrived before 1 pm, Kim was very friendly, she explained to me that they had been very busy with a big group who stayed there and asked me to return around 1.45 pm. I returned after 2pm and my room was ready. We had our breakfast in the spacious and comfortable restaurant in the morning before checking out.

The entrance to the Motel is a bit hard to find, especially at night.

We stayed two nights. Super clean, spacious room. Comfy bed. Block out curtains. Parking in front of room. Friendly staff. Josh gave us great tips for things to do. According to booking.com, they upgraded us to the king room, but we stayed in a queen room. But no big deal. Didn't realise until the second night, anyway we prefer a queen bed over a king bed, so didn't complain. There was also a bbq area and a pool, which we didn't have time to use, but it looked good. Continental breakfast was included in room price. Convenient when you want to leave early, but not a fan of instant coffee, would have preferred filtered coffee.

Could hear guests next door coming and going. But I guess that's normal for all motels.

Very responsive staff to booking late in the afternoon for that night. Room and bathroom comfortable and very clean. Staff friendly and after losing earphones, went out of their way to help us to locate them and communicate with us. I would stay again. Recommended a place for dinner across the road, which was great and close by when tired from travelling.

Breakfast was exceptionally basic. Toast and basic cereal most with high sugar, long life milk. I wouldn't be lured by breakfast included if you expect anything more. Only Nescafe coffee, not percolated so had to stop to find coffee.

It’s among the best pet friendly accommodation. The room is modern, spacious and very clean. Although it’s out of town, but only 5 mins from the town centre and beach. Our car battery was dead on the day. We were leaving. The staff helped jumpstart our car. Really appreciate that.

The breakfast is only bread, spread and cereal which is fine, at little bit disappointed that the coffee is still instant coffee from a tube, very underwhelming experience, and on the second day even the fresh milk ran out and was not replaced and we had to use long life milk.

New owners since early 2024, the place is neat and clean. The family room is spacious with four beds, microwave and milk in the fridge. I particularly love the green fluffy towels and crisp linen. The best part was there was cereal and toast provided as part of our accommodation cost. Even better is that the motel is a few minutes ride from the downhill mountain bike park including pump track - Gravity@Eden, finished in November 2023. Short drive into town for whale watching and a visit to the Killer Whale Museum. We'll be back!

Josh and Sara who run the Coachman were really fabulous, they gave us great advice which led to a dream come true for one of my sisters, who was really looking forward to a fabulous crayfish meal. Josh recommended the Tidal restaurant in Merimbula and they provided the most wonderful meal and the service was outstanding. We couldn't have asked for better service from the Coachman as well I would highly recommend it. Lyn Lorkin

A longer stay

The room had everything we needed for our one night stay. They supplied all the towels, soaps, shampoo, milk that you would require. Able to park directly in front of the room so not far to cart the bags. The cabinetry was all recently renovated.

In the bathroom there is an opening at the top of the window that is there for ventilation. Problem is this stop the room from getting warm during the cold nights which makes it a cold experience getting in and out of the shower. Would recommend those vents to be blocked.

Room and bathroom obviously recently refurbished and were clean and comfortable. Having armchairs in the room was lovely - somewhere to sit and read. Having two bedside lamps rather than one would be better. Located on the main road but we did not hear any traffic noise.

Breakfast. Lacks style. Several cereals but muesli not included. Help yourself from side tables. My eco friendly side appreciated that spread and toppings for toast were not in individually wrapped portions but the look of the big catering size pots of jam, honey, vegemite etc was not good. The water in the urn lukewarm and ran out so we had to go to kitchen to look for staff to refill it. With a little bit of attention, the breakfast could be better.

The rooms were a great size & very clean. They had everything you could need. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. A simple continental breakfast was provided which was useful. It was quiet considering you are off the highway.

As a non smoker I'd say the lack of smokers area away from the rooms, though the staff said they were building one so that's great. As the people in the room next door were smoking outside their rooms and it drifted into our room which was unpleasant.

The room was wonderful, it had a separate bedroom for our girls, so it was really great for a family. It was quite clean, and the shower had fantastic water pressure.

The breakfast was ok, as in toast, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. However a little bit of effort would mean a much more hygienic experience. The spreads, Vegemite, peanut butter, butter, margarine were all in the huge catering tubs, which means so much handling by the customers, and so much chance for contamination of a whole bucket. Never-mind that most of the buckets had to be scraped to get anything out of them. A small investment in some small glass jars, would mean that they probably had to be refilled once each day, and if contaminated, then only a small amount would have to be trashed.
