A quaint and traditional farm cottage. The welcoming and friendly owner Anne was so hospitable. The old pinewood doors with the latches on. Lovely room, comfy beds, good quality tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast, now myself and my partner didn't have the full English. But the poached eggs were good and the homemade granola with the fruit was delicious. The bedding was good quality and the bed was perfect. Lots of little extras, like fresh little flowers on your bedside table, lovely body wash and shampoo you provided. So I really enjoyed it.

The building, room and surrounding area was gorgeous. Everyone there was so welcoming, kind and friendly. They instantly made us feel like one of the family and the home cooked breakfast was just what we needed to set us up perfectly for the day! Special mention to has to go out to the little four legged sweetheart Margot. Thank you Anne for such a lovely two days, if we’re ever in Reading again we know exactly where we’ll stay :)

The setting is a farmhouse which feels really warm, comfortable and friendly. The hosts are absolutely lovely. They put themselves out to provide us with early breakfasts on both mornings. The room was cosy, clean and traditional. A heated blanket was fitted on the bed which was an absolute indulgence and very welcome on a cold wet evening in December.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like. Guests should remember what they are booking. It's not a swish modern hotel.

Lovely farmhouse. Couldn't have asked for nicer hosts, went over and above to make my stay comfortable. Superb cooked breakfast with options. Anne's home-made jam with plums from a tree in the garden and her home made granola, served with fresh strawberries and yogurt was delicious. The garden is beautiful and I was even encouraged to try out the hammock for a relaxation - I recommend it!

Lovely place to stay, would do so again! Clean, well looked-after, lovely breakfast every morning with all sorts of home-made treats! Anne, the hostess is wonderfully friendly and always keen to chat and make suggestions or help out.

The room was a little small for 2 people for an extended stay, but that is just something with which we have previously been spoiled.

Very welcoming and kind hosts. We were offered the lift to get there by Anne and she was super helpful throughout our stay. The food was amazing quality, the place was clean and very cosy, the cottage is located in a picturesque countryside. If you are looking for a place with character and personality where people take care of you rather than just provide you with a service than this is your place :)

The cottage is beautiful and has been sensitively extended, to provide lovely and comfortable accommodation. Anne was so kind and welcoming, as was her husband. My room was compact, beautifully clean and with high quality white linen. I was warm and comfortable, and enjoyed some cafetière coffee both in the evening and early morning. The en suite bathroom is perfectly adequate - compact and spotlessly clean, with some wonderfully fragrant hand cleanser and shower gel. Anne provided a delicious breakfast of fresh , homemade granola, an apricot compote, home made marmalade and jam, plus delicious scrambled eggs from her hens, and local bacon . I felt relaxed and rested and would definitely recommend as a b&b. Thank you, Anne.

An absolutely amazing place. hosted by the friendliest people. We had a fantastic two night stay, and Anne & Pat were the perfect hosts. The room itself was comfortable, cosy, and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend staying here and sampling Anne's delicious breakfast - the homemade jams & marmalade are a must. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you again, Anne & Pat.

Leaving

Wonderful breakfast (home-made granola, jams, marmelade and full English) and a very good night in this charming traditional English cottage. The garden is amazing. All in all, a very good experience. We recommend it.

We had the room with the private bathroom across the corridor... not our favourite. A bathtub is not handy to take a shower. We could hear the couple in the room next to ours even if they were very quiet, just talking. We couldn't lock the door when we went out to eat in the evening.

The property is a beautiful old farm cottage. The cottage is set in a beautiful area in a stunning cottage garden. The hosts Anne and Pat are very welcoming. The room was beautiful,clean and had lovely bedding. The bathroom was across the landing and was well-equipped with towels and lovely toiletries. The breakfast was incredible with homemade jams, granola and eggs from Anne's chickens. I would not hesitate to book here again.
