The staff was super friendly and accommodating very sweet with the dog which we appreciate it very much. Our dog is usually little bit nervous and very shy but he loved it at the reception right away which is an ultimate complement as it made him feel very comfortable. The location was very nice and quiet overnight, perfect close proximity to the more canal for the morning walk and nice coffee shop by the river only 10 mins walk. Massive compliments for the bed that was clean comfortable and huge. The dog slept in a separate little bed given for him by the receptionist which was also very lovely. We also loved the breakfast which was buffet and a fantastic value of 12 pounds

The bathrooms could be a little bit more up to date

I was travelling to the area for a wedding in Wasing Park. For this purpose, the hotel's location was very convenient. It's a 5-minute drive from Aldermaston train station and about 10-minute drive from Wasing Park. The facilities were nice and cosy, the rooms spacious and clean. The bed was very comfy for me and there were no disturbing noises in general even though the hotel is located right on the highway. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of options. I did not use the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, polite and attentive. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel.

One of the best hotels ever! It’s conveniently located near the motorway. Rooms are big, beds are super comfortable and large, all is spotless. There’s also a lovely fitness room. Breakfast is delicious (some of the best pastries ever). It’s REALLY pet friendly. Most of all, I have to say, we loved the staff. Each of them was incredibly and sincerely kind with us and our dog. The guys at the reception: amazing and it was a pleasure to have a chat with. The true gentleman in the breakfast room always smiling and supportive. It all felt like home. Way to go, guys! You made our whole stay simply beautiful. Thanks to you all!

It was good to see an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer already in the room without having to ask. The shower was great, and I loved the force of the water. The food was lovely. The staff were all really friendly, helpful, and happy (which was great to see). Special mention to Ellie and Nizarri. They are both stars and certainly assets to the hotel. The cleaning staff were also really friendly and went out of their way to make space for me to walk past. Walking isn't easy, and I need to use a stick.

The shower was lovely, but the step up into it was quite high. There are no hand rails to help. The hotel looks really nice from the outside, but it would be quite difficult for a wheelchair user to get into the front doors without assistance. It doesn't look like an old hotel, but it isn't very disability friendly. On checking out, I asked at reception how many disabled rooms there are and was told there are two. That seems a very small number for a modern hotel. I wondered why the shower couldn't have been flat on the floor, I'm guessing it was down to insufficient drainage. However, I'm sure more thought, and yes, money, could have been spent to make all rooms fitted with suitable showers.

Lovely room. Great shower. Tea and coffee in room. Mini fridge if required. Venue booked for a wake. Food at wake excellent. Service excellent. Staff very warm and friendly. Breakfast looked good but I didn’t have it. Just tea. Car parking excellent. Registration at reception. Nothing too much trouble for the staff who carried my bags up to the first floor. No lift.

Everything was good. No improvement needed except maybe a lift to first floor. I should have booked ground floor room on reflection.

Location was perfect for us. Near to a Wedding venue we were going to. We didn't have to pay extra to park. It was a large car park and felt safe and secure. The staff were welcoming and helpful from checking in to the time we left. Our room was large and clean and we didnt hear any road noise.The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice. The staff were a credit to the hotel.We would definitely stay here again.

I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn before, but definitely will again. It exceeded my expectations. The reception area was very modern and well decorated and the receptionists, Lisa and Angie, were very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and the beds were huge and so comfortable, too. The best part was the breakfast. There was so much choice, everything was perfectly cooked and the member of staff working that morning, Richard, was very welcoming.

The room was a bit dim, but then there wasn't a lot of natural light due to the position of the window, so it couldn't really be helped. It wasn't a problem and everything about my stay was perfect, so I'm really nit picking to find something I didn't like.

Nice place, quiet and spacious rooms. I didn’t hear the cars from the nearby highway. I slept very good. It‘s a short taxi ride to the Mount wasing Festivsl and a short walk to Aldermaston station. The area is quite nice for walking. Soap from big dispensers!

I arrived at 1:30PM and I asked for checking in earlier. I was told the charge is 20£ for two hours ( booking com check in at 2, so I‘m not so early. I denied and after a short while the receptionist told me, I could check in for free directly. I don‘t like this policy. If you want to have happy guests try to welcome them.

Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Reading, I was made to feel welcome on arrival, the room was a bit cold but I asked for an extra heater and that was brought to my room which made my stay even more comfortable, the food I had was the best fish and chips i've had so the chef done really well sooooooo good. Slept very well and in the morning had breakfast and was greeted by the team which was lovely again made to feel so welcome and nothing was a problem. If I ever have to stay in Reading again for any reason I will definitely stay right there excellent service. Would like to thank Elle and her team on 02/05/24 and the morning of the 03/05/24 who all made my stay a great one. love love love..

I didn't find anything I did not like excellent stay wish I could have stayed longer.

starbucks in house , helpfull staff , parking close to the hotel door , bathroom ok

when we arrived at the room 3 wine glasses were still outside the door from previous guest .Thread bare carpet on stairs , tatty wood work and shabby first floor by conference facility . Breakfast ran out of all cooked items with long turn round times to replenish .Starbucks station not operational in the morning and instant coffee in paper cups .Note the hotel is on the main Bath road with heavy traffic .Got charged twice for breakfast although this was refunded before i left
